I understand what this guy is saying and had a similar thought while watching. In the books, she gains new skills while she trains. She learns to fight without her eyes, she practices that stuff, it makes sense that when she (inevitably) leaves the FM she will be a much better fighter.
In the show, she just swings a stick around an then Jaqen is like, "Hey girl, let's go do something else." She hasn't really progressed in any way, just had a bunch of things happen to her - kind of like what people criticized Sansa for last season.
It's bad writing and it's a shame because GRRM literally did the writing for them and they just had to adapt it. Very clumsy.

Because it's one thing to forgive the entertainment industry for using historically inaccurate stage fighting when it comes to sword fighting. It's another thing to forgive them for the ludicrous assumption that duel wielding was even a viable tactic used combat. Duel wielding is purely fantasy and laughable. The only historical use of holding two weapons is with a small sword and a dagger in the off hand. Duel wielding two long swords would get you killed very quickly and was never practiced. It would only weaken your ability in both offense and defense.
