the second scene where anakin and palpatine explore their relationship would have supported the bubble comedy scene

I'm rewatching Episode III. It definitely has some very memorable scenes. In one scene, where Palpatine converts Anakin, he slowly sits down, goes "Once more the sith will rule the galaxy...and we shill have...peace". Followed by the smallest hint of a smile. Ian fucking nailed this part. Palpatine looks scary as fuck. How he forces that smile at the end. Like trying to fool Anakin into thinking he's still that friendly Uncle Palpatine.

The prequels are very flawed, a wasted opportunity to tell a great story. It had some good ideas tough.
Well I was born in 1997, and Attack of the Clones was one of the first movies I ever watched in the cinema, though I don't remember it too much apart from the arena.
I then watched the Originals, and loved them. Really loved Empire because it was scary and shocking and really loved Jedi because it was dramatic and even the ewoks scenes were great to me as a kid.
Then I watched the two other prequels, and I still enjoyed them. I preferred Episode 1 to Episode 2, though Jango Fett was cool.
Then 2005 came and I honestly thought Revenge of the Sith was nearly as good as Empire or Jedi. I really loved it.
Of course, growing up a bit I've learned to see what's good film and what's bad, what's quality and what's mediocre, and while I can now say the prequels aren't exactly great films, they were pretty good Star Wars films, and they help tell the total story. Plus they're enjoyable.

The prequels had fun moments but until RoTS I wouldn't describe them as fun. The ideal Star Wars sequel to me is something between the prequels and TFA.
I also don't think this was a soulless cash-in. It did exactly what it needed to do. If the next two movies are similar to TFA I'll agree that it's a shit trilogy. I think the entire point of the movie is to set up the next two which is why I'm OK with it. I'm not going to obsess over plot holes and nitpicky things right now. If the next movie doesn't address some of the oddities of TFA I'll be pissed though.

I'm so sorry, I take it you haven't seen JJ's Star Trek films. The first film wasn't like Star Trek at all but it wasn't terrible either so we told ourselves that it was a good starting point for a new film series because it set up the characters and their relationships and place within Starfleet. We told ourselves the next film would explore these things in greater detail and go back to the Star Trek staple of finding peaceful solutions to intergalactic problems intermixed with ethical dilemmas.
But JJ is incapable of such artistry. I'm afraid TFA will be the best of the Star Wars sequels, and will be remembered as the good one even though it's pretty bad if you don't compare it to the other sequels.

Ive never seen more of a copycat movie in my life.
The prequels were much better written, they had actual characters and story, not a bunch of memes and one-liners that lack any emotion or coherence. Luke is a cliched everyboy "hero" that goes through an absurdly rapid transformation between the fifth and the sixth episodes. Anakin's emotional instability and his exposure as a psychopath are gripping; and his doomed relationship with Padme is touching. In the compromised and boring "original trilogy" Han, Leia, Darth Vader and Obi Wan are complete meme characters, nothing about them is remotely believable or human. And why doesn't anyone care about deaths in those movies? Leia's planet destruction, Luke's stepparents' death, all of the blown up rebels--the list could go on--all the deaths are forgotten moments later.
As for direction, the movies from the "original trilogy" were mostly incoherent, badly edited and full of logical problems. The prequel trilogy is a work of a "vulgar auteur".
I feel neutral about the series overall, and honestly don't care about trolling or contrarianism. Here are my sincere rankings:

Last month I started as a new intern in a library. After getting to know some of the colleagues there, the Star Wars for some reason came as the topic, probably because some of them anticipated VII. We talked and as usual I didn't really voice my opinions if not clearly asked. I noticed two of the guys (pimply faced) were very enthusiastic about the new Star Wars movie so I asked them what they would like to see. Immediately the excited tone of the conversation transformed into a cacophony of hurls towards the prequels after which I interjected and asked why there harbored such a disdain for said films. The energetic conversation stopped for a second and they looked completely baffled back at me, in total shellshock one of them (the one with more pimples) just muttered, "Dude just watch the Plinkett reviews on Youtube." I was flabbergasted because I did not know what he meant by this. Without saying anything further, I just went back to my work in the other room. I still could hear them talk vociferously about how they shared the same opinions about what made the prequels so terrible for at least another 15 minutes.

The prequels were much better written, they had actual characters and story, not a bunch of memes and one-liners that lack any emotion or coherence. Luke is a cliched everyboy "hero" that goes through an absurdly rapid transformation between the fifth and the sixth episodes. Anakin's emotional instability and his exposure as a psychopath are gripping; and his doomed relationship with Padme is touching. In the compromised and boring "original trilogy" Han, Leia, Darth Vader and Obi Wan are complete meme characters, nothing about them is remotely believable or human. And why doesn't anyone care about deaths in those movies? Leia's planet destruction, Luke's stepparents' death, all of the blown up rebels--the list could go on--all the deaths are forgotten moments later.
As for direction, the movies from the "original trilogy" were mostly incoherent, badly edited and full of logical problems. The prequel trilogy is a work of a "vulgar auteur".
I feel neutral about the series overall, and honestly don't care about trolling or contrarianism. Here are my sincere rankings:

I am willing to admit that the prequels are, for the most part, probably inferior movies to the originals, but they have a comfortable atmosphere and story telling style that is really all their own. They are some of the most unique movies ever made and the work of an auteur. Even if they aren't the best of the Star Wars films, they're still very good in their own right.

Revenge of the Sith and TFA have 1 thing in common: They are too rushed.
Anakin turning should have been longer whilst TFA's way of introducing Rey and Finn as best friends is way too short and forced.
All in all I enjoyed both of these movies.

This is what I love about Episode 3: the first half is a "buddy buddy killing bad guys" segment when suddenly it all becomes so very dark and each of the character's worlds are turned upside down.
Episode 3 is perhaps the most STRONGEST Star Wars movie (even if it may have cringe moments or the acting may not all be top notch). It does after all have the story which creates the bridge of disaster as it is a disaster movie, a tragedy as it follows a Shakespearian story-like structure which is why I love it.

Ok now we are going to get into what pissed me off about Episode I. (And I dont know if your being sarcastic but im going to say it anyway)
The Pod Race scene was very well done and it showed what a good pilot this kid is. Esp when his pod goes tits up and he uses his know how to get it back online. Then he turns around and just lucks out destroying the federation base. No Skill and hey why we are at his let's put the thing that controls the whole droid army in there too that will just shut them down when blown up. Not "Hey let's put a line of code in the droids that when you lose connection just start blasting everything that moves!" No skill noting he just lop-de-doe's into the ship plays a easy video game and dips out. And saves the day.
Ugh..I hated that out of everything in the prequels the most.
Oh and the Gungans. Oh you have a bomb that can destroy everything and anything with tech so superior but the only mode of delivering said weapon is a flimsy catapult?!?

That's always been the best part of Star Wars: the fact that it is FIERCELY sincere about everything it does. It's like an alien Poetic Edda being recited in an intergalactic mead hall. There's ceremony. There's poetry. There's pomp and grandeur and melodrama. It's very deliberately trying to capture this sweeping epic feel and be this big myth. Space opera, emphasis OPERA. The prequels, whatever else anyone might say about them, always held true to that.
This is why I hated the idea of an episode VII from the moment it was announced: because if it was truly Star Wars, everyone would hate it, because sincerity isn't cool anymore and hasn't been for a long time. Nowadays everyone's trying to feel ironic and hip, so any episode VII that would actually be well-received was going to have to be ironic and hip, betraying the very soul of Star Wars. Space opera, emphasis SPACE, irony quotes "opera".
And that's exactly what Abrams gave us. At first I was enraged, but I don't think I can keep it up: he was only doing what the fanbase said they wanted, after all.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars just has him with his movie voice from the beginning, though he does noticeably cough a lot less. Considering that the eventual last few arcs of TCW were supposed to run up to Revenge of the Sith, through it, and out the other end, they might have been planning to do a new version of the Mace Windu crush trick.
The actual production behind-the-scenes reason why Grievous has a cough is to signal to the audience that he's a cyborg, not just a robot, and to be pottery with Darth Vader's breathing.
