> Implying that Moffat won't meet with an unfortunate "accident" before it airs.
Doctor Who is literally unwatchable shit at the moment, to be honest with you, my man. Moffat has done nothing but use the Doctor as a device for the glorification of his female characters. It isn't a series about an exile from a highly technologically advanced time traveling race who fights evil and rights wrongs. It's about a bumbling galactic cucklord who travels time and space in his cuckshed, meeting whimsical women who have to explain the differences between right and wrong to him while he pines for them romantically and they suck nigger dicks. Doctor Who is shit.

The best part about it is how they didn't even splurge for a decent quality microphone. You could say the same about McCoy, since the TV movie feels different from the Classic series. Or about Colin, since he didn't actually have a final story on television, and the space between Trial and Time & the Rani is essentially a blank slate for BF to set as many stories as they want.
The only BF Doctors that feel restrained by their TV timeline to me are Tom and Davison

Timeline never stopped them to add stuff. Like, remember Erimem or, say, Oliver and more adventures in 60s ere where there no space between stories at all.
>>63962731
It only really feels natural with 8, 7, and 6 (in descending order of how natural it feels) though because the audio stories clearly muck up with the character development of the TV stories they're stuck between.
>>63962769
6 and 7 both have same open-ended thing though
>>63962799
...but I said that. I said 8, 7 and 6. We're in agreement.
When I said descending order I just meant it feels MOST natural with 8 since he was a complete blank slate, less so with 7 because although he has endless blank space he already had a lot of character development, and less so again with 6 for the same reason.

Really? The story was shorter than most monthly releases.
Imo the NEDAs don't have as many GOAT stories as the monthlies, but they also have fewer shit stories (Blood of the Daleks is somewhere in the middle). I'd say that if you managed to get through the worst of the monthlies like Minuet in Hell or The Next Life you shouldn't have any problems with the NEDAs.
Also, it pays to stick with them because their best season is the last one (remember to listen to the special An Earthly Child between Death in Blackpool and Situation Vacant).

That's an interesting question. For me, it was reading a couple of Target novelizations in the late 1970s in America (yes, I'm that old). I found a couple on a spinner rack in a small town I was visiting and enjoyed them. After that, I'd see the show mentioned in passing here and there in places like Starlog magazine. The first actual episodes I ever got to see were Tom Baker's The Android Invasion. It was a let-down and my mom said the show was terrible. I just finished all four dark eye stories and was wondering, in DE1 what was the deal with Sally Armstrong getting a message from the doctor's future self and putting money in her bank account and having her in his house? All it did was result in her dying, and then later being saved from dying by the master to fuel his nefarious deeds. Was the message really from the master and it was a trick to fool the doctor?

Possibly Rose, but the earliest I remember is The End of the World. It was my granddad's idea, wouldn't have even known it existed otherwise.

I confess: I'm sorry for forcing my meme. I will now leave, I'm sorry for killing /who/. Please regenerate. I confess: I hope Frenchanon won't hold a grudge against me.

>Please regenerate.
No.
River: When you know it’s the end, who do you call?
Rory: Your friends, people you can meme.
River: Number One. Who did the Doctor memed the most? {The Doctor walks casually out of the back}. This is shitposting. Even by your standards, this is shit.
The Doctor: Or “hello” as people use to say.
Amy: Doctor.
The Doctor: Just pooped to get my special straw. It adds more fizz.
Amy: You’re shitposting. How can you be shitposting?
The Doctor: Hey, of course I’m shitposting. I’m always shitposting. I’m the king of shitposting. Oh, that’s a rubbish title. Forget that title. Rory the Roman! That’s a good title! Hello Rory. And Doctor River Song. Oh you bad bad girl. What meme have you got for me this time? {she smacks him} Okay. I’m assuming that’s for a meme I haven’t done yet.
River: Yes it is.
The Doctor: Good. Looking forward to it.
I am not a good meme! I am not a bad meme. I am not an anon. And I'm definitely not a janitor. And no, I'm not a tripcunt. Do you know what I am? I am a shitposter, with a meme and shitposts. Just passing through, memeing about, shitting. I don't need a trip. I never have, because I've got them. Always them. Because shitposting, it's not a meme. Shitposting is a promise. And he will never hurt her. Danny Splink, catch! You didn't notice, did you? While you were doing all your silly orders, while you were showing off, the one cuck not obeying.

How intolerant. Who cares if that guy likes to get his ass fucked? I mean if gays were to die Who would never had been brought back.
Do you know some (retarded or not) fan theories about the show ?
>>63971571
Too cute for this world.
>>63974156
I remember some retarded anon who had a theory about how Jenny (Lizard lady's wife) was Jenny (the Doctor's daughter). Some weird logic involving Jenny doing some moves in the Crimson Horror and the Doctor paying attention to her once.
Why can't Sylvie be the next companion?

I saw the last half of The Long Game on the Sci-Fi channel (back when it was still called that) and it intrigued me, but I could never remember what the show was called. One day I saw the Doctor Who logo and recognized it and realized that was the show I wanted to see more of, so I went and downloaded everything and watched it from beginning to end (which at the time was The End of Time).
I watched Series 1 of Doctor Who with ZERO knowledge of the show or the Doctor, so it was quite a roller coaster being introduced to the Doctor, seeing him get scary-serious in Dalek, and him regenerating and everything. It was a mindblowing experience and I was hooked ever since.
It's why I always recommend to people new to the show to watch Series 1 first and go in as blind as possible, because it's a perfectly succinct and effective introduction to the Doctor as a character and the show as a whole.
Male companion WHEN?
BASED YOUNG WILF?
The Engineer from Mummy on the Orient?
Not from earth?
At the very least not present day london
>>63978465
I had a dream before S9 started that there was an after credit scene in Ep12 which showed Donna and her family at Wilf's funeral, only 12 was there too. Of course donnas mum knew it was the Doctor, but the doctor told Donna he was "an old friend" of Wilf when they're standing by the graveside. He then walked off and we hear the sound of the tardis, and there's a bit of recognition on Donnas face

Used to frequent a forum for a cheezy flash game called WarBears, Lot of brits used it too, theyd mention the show from time to time and I caught it on Sci-Fi one night at like 2 am, they were playing Planet of the Ood and I was fucking hooked, between the wait to the next weeks ep I caw the Satan Pit 2 parter and I was in too deep at this point. Watched the whole show religiously every night from midnight to 3 am because thats when SciFi aired it, in order each night until Id seen it all, then I started ordering BBC's service
This was 2008 I believe
when you're looking for the GOAT Christmas Carol episode and you see comments from 2010
>>63978616
Ive never wanted something so bad yet at the same tim never want to suffer through Wilf dying. I love wilf like a grandfather I dont have, and Donna is my favorite. If clara and the Doctor hadnt dont that shit with the memory erasing, Id say a few eps with young WW2 wilf would be cool, and he eventually gets wiped too, in a reflection of his granddaughter. Or he remembers it all and the doctor tells him to pretend, so 10 doesnt cause a paradox
>>63978257
>Tennant getting btfo by them playing series 2-4 of his episodes, and including his christmas eps while smith gets no regular series episodes and only two of his christmas episodes
Don't know what kind of logic you're using Matt, but you should get some help
>>63977849
No, considering she probably meant "heart attack" in the metaphorical sense.
Even if she didn't, he died of congestive heart failure brought on by his arteriosclerosis. That's not quite the same as a heart attack.

WW2 war story where the doctor gets the help of a platoon of men to take down a crew of alien poachers, drawn by the Human's world war to collect Human warriors for their trophy rooms. The whole episode the doctor is personally aided by a young corpral whos name is almost comedically blocked out by noise each time its asked, or interrupted, and at the very end when all is well, standing in the snow, The doctor asks his name one last time. "Wilfred Mott Reporting for duty!" The doctor smiles and says his goodbyes.
Thats why WIlf uses his telescope so much to look at the stars. He knows theyre out there
