I don't care for Capaldi as the doctor, i haven't watched anything passed Sleep No More. I think Clara is boring and ugly. I samefag to make my opinions carry more weight when i trip. I also complain loudly about another trip but am afraid of a backlash if i do so using my trip. I don't actually mind them(especially Cloister) but i feel like they run the show when they're around. I wish Matt Smith would have stayed an cried like a baby when Tennant left and get furious when /who/ shits on him I haven't seen much of the classic series except for Colin Baker and thought he was a great doctor. sometimes i steal opinions from /r/doctorwho and /r/Gallifrey in regards to other doctors so i appear knowledgeable. I have only been "allowed" on 4chan for about 8 months i was under age before then.

Apart from the suggestion the Corsair regenerated into a woman several times, I don't see any other Tumblr pandering.
I think the main issue with the Capaldi era is it doesnt feel fresh enough in comparison to the late Smith era.
S5 for example was completely different to anything we ever saw prior to it, it was kind of magical and ballsy and i like that. They're not taking risks with the show anymore and its literally the same shit over and over.
There hasn't been a single episode I've truly enjoyed since The Snowmen. My love for DW almost died with the Ponds and Matt's departure killed it. I've been watching Peter's era by habit but I don't enjoy the episodes anymore.

That was the finale of Matt Smith's 1st series. The Pandorica (the cube prison) was built by an alliance of the Doctor's enemies who feared that he would be the one to blow up his TARDIS and destroy reality. While they sealed him inside, the true culprits (the church of the Silence, long story) went and blew it up themselves, thinking this would kill him.
The TARDIS' explosion disrupted the vortex and erased all of the universe, except for its immediate surroundings (eye of the storm), resulting in an alternate Earth where stars never existed and the Sun was replaced by the perpetually burning TARDIS.
The Doctor did a lot of clever shit, including using River Song's vortex manipulator (portable time travel wristwatch) to retroactively free himself from the Pandorica via a bootstrap paradox, using the Pandorica to restore the dead Amy (while robot Rory kept watch over it for 2000 years), and lots of other stuff that it is easier to watch the episode than to attempt to summarize here.
Then ultimately, using the particles from the original universe perfectly preserved inside the Pandorica, the Pandorica's restoration field, and the power of the exploding TARDIS, he created a second Big Bang. This restored the universe to its proper state, complete with getting rid of most of the cracks in time. Piloting the Pandorica into the TARDIS sun meant that he would be erased from time, and so he experienced his own timeline rewinding on itself, witnessing past scenes play out as an invisible ghost.
Fortunately, the time crack in Amy's wall had gifted her memory with a blueprint of all of time. When the restoration field blasted to all points in spacetime, it also restored those people which had been erased but which Amy could subconsciously remember. This included Rory, her family members, and the Doctor - who, when he returned to 7yo Amy's bedside in ghost form to say farewell, subtly planted an idea that would trigger her memory of him on her wedding day.
