The situation after the events in Paris is exactly like in The Zygon Invasion. I went to the sleep no more screening in nyc. its not scary at all and it just relies on jump scares. its found footage filmed on the headcams of the rescue team and has cctv. very average episode with a very cliched monster. basically because the people who go in the machine dont sleep for months, the 'sleep' deposit that you wake up with on your eyes in the morning covers their entire body and they turn into roaring monsters. id give it a 5/10 but the trailer for next week looks good even though it gives away the ending its like the trailer for dark water by saying "NEXT WEEK: THE FINALE BEGINS".

To be fair, it's an interesting concept and scientifically relevant. If you get enough of a build up of excess organic particles over a long enough period abiogenesis might occur. Rasmussen's message was I think recorded on the station computer with the intention of being recovered, watched, and then the recoverer sharing it with people and spreading it that way.
Doctor apparently crashed the whole place into the surface of Neptune when he blew up the anti-grav, so probably the only people to ever see Rasmussen's tape are us.

The entire episode was compiled by the creepy glasses guy (who was actually a dust monster all along). As it turns out, the Sandmen are actually shapeshifters, and they only took the monster form to keep people watching.
The glasses guy put the "neural impulse" of the Morpheus machine (which turns people into Sandmen) into the video's, therefore infecting everyone who watches it.
