This movie pissed me off so much man. Slavery was so much more complicated than "Oh blacks aren't real people, fuck em hahahaha". The way they portrayed the representatives in this movie is completely inaccurate. It was a lot more based on politics and peace with the confederacy than it was "Black people don't deserve to be free". The only time anything other than racism was mentioned in defense of slavery was when Rorschach at the end brought up the economy of the South, and that was one sentence that was quickly swept under the rug.
Instead of the movie being about the importance of fundamental human rights and the lengths we must go as a society to fix injustice, we get a movie about "These guys in the past were way racist, luckily Lincoln came around and showed them a thing or two".

What are some of /tv/'s top animated movie picks. I have to say the Kung Fu Panda franchise is like a god tier animated franchise. Specially the visuals in 3 is amazing.
Kung fu panda 3 is probably the most prettiest animated movie out there. Also a really great movie is Tin Tin, has that Spielberg charm to it.

I know wes gets a lot of hate from this board but his movies are all pretty great or they at least have some good moments to them.
I loved moonrise kingdom and it's been my favorite movie experience because it came out around the same time as Ted so all the plebs flocked to that and the theater I went to was packed with people 50+
He might make something as good in the future but it won't be the same so, in short, yeah you'll hate everything.
