I started just going through my watchlist and seeing which ones I could find online easily or Netflix. I no longer have a preference in which order to watch them except for The Godfather trilogy and Satantango, which I'll probably never end up seeing because I don't have the time.

Wasn't a trial. It was a hearing, so the government could point out that he did some dumbshit, should do shit better, and they want to know he'll be accountable to the government in the future for what he does. That's part of why he's so pissed at himself for not noticing the bomb. He was being lectured to about not earning the trust of the government/people, and failed at an opportunity to help turn that perception around.
