Do the directors of game of thrones deliberately "slow down" their show?
1. Most scenes hardly ever advance the plot that much
2. Quite a few seem unnecessary and tedious
It seems that the show could be directing in a manner that advances the plot much faster than it currently does.
For example, arya's entire arc has become a blue-balling snoozefest by now. Does anyone find it hard to give a shit about someone who we're expected to be hyped for but has done nothing but travel and get rekt for six seasons? (apart from a few moments of killing).
There is no payoff. All stories seem slow, contrived and without any believable arc.
Also, why do people still watch this show since the direction is just awful now and it shows in fight scenes, dialogue and the way plots are "advanced".

yeah they've been struggling for a little while. Their creative process since they've made money is "what is the most bombastic storyline we can make," and it ruins a lot of the old cozy poor people feeling.
last season on netflix was pretty shit, and it pains me to say so. the show has had some beautiful moments but it's reaching really hard now.
