The "girl power" stuff is actually sexist against women in an of itself. It implies that women are naturally without power and must seek it out to be the equivalent of men instead of embracing their own womanhood and finding strength in that. I never had anything in common with anyone in that show. I did like squidwards character, but hated how him and plankton are basically the victims of most of SB's/Krabs abuse.
Like I get that its supposed to be 'haha' funny, but at some points its kind of cruel. Like when Squidward wanted to relax on his Sunday off, only for Spongebob and Patrick to ruin it and end up getting the 3 of them in major trouble, causing Squidward to have to do community service every sunday for the rest of his life.

Except it's actually really good.
I was very surprised at how well it was made and how even though it's got a cliche horror/religious thing happening, it's not just reddit pandering.
Biggest positive is that it has really creative editing and cinematography. There are really no shows on television right now (besides Better Call Saul) that have interesting editing and images. It's all just point the camera at the actor shit. In this pilot episode (lets hope they keep it up) it seems like they really tried hard to keep the shots interesting, which is such a breath of fresh air.
