>>70108397
So he modeled himself off a character someone else created? why even show this in the movie?

2001. Even though it is uneven at times it is simply breath taking. For story though it is hard to beat Barry Lyndon
ITT: Overrated garbage
why?
How?
What?
How can capeshit get such good reviews? Seriously, it's like a bunch of cosplay running around to comic book dialogue. What do they consider a great movie?
>>70107057
it's entertaining
i liked the part where stuff happened
Stop bringing it up you plebs. I've said it again and I'll say it again tv/ is above capeshit. We should only be talking about kino here.
>Not one black person in the entire trilogy
How the -fuck- did they get away with that, and can you even imagine if they even tried to IMPLY they were going to do something like that today? How times have changed.
>>70107015
Uhhh they did have black people. They had like a whole army too.
>>70107015

Calm down Ivan. Maybe one day, Holywood will get desperate enough to make another movie on the eastern front like Ennemy at the gates.
Sorry but it just isn't interesting enough.

I'm pretty sure that happened in one of the shit movies that everyone ignored

Could you imagine naked Arnold being CGI? Could you imagine a chubby womanlet playing Sarah Conner?
I'm about to watch pic related for the first time. My question is: Redux or original?
Popular opinion is that the original has much better pacing and is ultimately the better film. However, I've come across many people stating that while perhaps pacing suffers from the plantation scene, the Redux completes the story a makes AN a true masterpiece.
Unless I absolutely love the film, I don't plan to watch both versions, so I want to know which cut should be watched first, or which is considered the true form of the film.
>>70106776
The extended director's edition is the only way to watch it you pleb.
Can't even watch the original now with how badly they fucked up Kurtz.
I prefer Redux. The extra length doesn't bring it down for me to be honest
mfw I can only find redux on torrents, not interested in a 3 hour borefest

Reminder that the Atomic Bombs weren't necessary for ending the war and it was really the USSR's belligerency that pushed Japan to accept the unconditional surrender.
>>70106711
eh, on the bright side of things... bombing them gave them close experiences with explosions so they hand draw the prettiest explosions for us.

are we in for another masterpiece?

Hopefully this will create better memes than interstellar
It's funny how, as more time passes between WW2 and the present, they're trying ever harder to revise the history of it in the minds of the populace. They're trying to rewrite what actually happened in an orwellian fashion. Before you know it the "heroic battle of dunkirk" will be known as one of the biggest allied successes rather than the disastrous defeat it was. It won't be an "evacuation" anymore either as it's euphemistically being called right now, but a "smashing defeat for the nazis" or something lel
