How come there is literally zero hype around this show? Is that only because it's gonna have a blackie as a lead?
>>70638359
This could be interesting. What network's doing it?
>>70638359
Ian McShane and Gillian Anderson are also in this, plus Bryan Fuller as show runner working off Neil Gaiman story.
and probably no hype because we don't even have a trailer yet and it comes out next year.
>>70638400
STARZ, Fuller is showrunner
>>Gillian Anderson ... Media
>Ian McShane ... Mr. Wednesday
> Emily Browning ... Laura Moon
>Peter Stormare ... Czernobog
>Crispin Glover ... Mr. World
They got a lot of A listers in cast, really should've went for someone more famous as lead

Daily reminder that 9 times out of 10 the "consensus" of /tv/ is wrong.
If the aliens bit at the end pisses you off, then you shouldn't be watching this type of flick in the first place.
Lets see where it lines up on the chart

But seriously do you want some television show with your rape? Am I going to have to have a whole line item on my spreadsheet called Rape Budget complete with a team of rape choreographers, rape production assistants, and rape sets? Am I going to have to hire writers that can...

The books spend an unwieldy amount of time on having the evil politicians declare fire to be banned (from a medieval podunk village society with no magic or anything) as a metaphor for gun control.
I'm pro gun but that suit is embarrassing. Everyone in their society was on board

Could Blood Meridian be one of the biggest and most visually haunting masterpieces ever made? Can it be even be done?
It could but it will never be adapted properly. Its too violent for the pleb audiences so it would never get an R rating.
>>70637652
Someone said something before about a Mel Gibson adaptation. That could potentially be really great.
I think it would quite well as an animated film. People are too snobby about animation though.
What did you think of season 3?
I thought it was a lot less 'fun' than the first two seasons, with fewer colorful characters and situations. However, it did a good job developing the main characters. Some of the episodes had less action, but the finale made up for all that with the tunneling.
I just wish we'd seen/learned more about the oddfellows and churchill. Was Churchill an oddfellow, therefore an antagonist?
Also, [spoilers] who do you think the "even more powerful people" that he made a deal with are [/spoiler]
>>70637482
I thought it was enjoyably deranged. They've come a long way from knocking off bookies. I liked the Russians, I thought they were underused actually. The Priest was a bit of a non-event. High point, totally not memeing, was the basement scene with Solomons.
>Was Churchill an oddfellow, therefore an antagonist?
I think the whole plan - provoking the Soviets - was his idea to begin with and he got the Shelbys into his debt purely to pull off that plan. No idea what Tommy's...

Do you think he got fucked over by his manager to pick the Hitman movie which he starred in playing a returning character in over overblown popular series ?
Easily the second. He'd have been an infinitely better Euron as well.
