I'm talking about a different sort of response. If someone posts something to the thread and people say "Eh, its not that good" or "I don't like this," that's more in line with just giving feedback. I'm sure artists would appreciate more detailed constructive criticism, but there isn't anything inherently wrong with someone giving their honest feedback to their work, definitely.
What I'm talking about is basically attacking a person. People can get downright nasty, and that feels bad when you've put yourself out there and tried to make something for an audience, and someone responds by getting real personal about it.

Well, in terms of family, my brother and sister are not doing well-- brother is going through medical issues with his spine, sister has depression and can't seem to be bothered with getting a job or anything. To my family, I represent the guy who, at the very least, has his shit together. They rely on me for a lot, and I know if I slacked off, I'd be disappointing my family.
I own my own business, and my partners are along the ride with me for a huge risk. They're ALL smarter and way more talented than me-- I'm honestly the luckiest guy in the world to be working with four other geniuses as the dude who writes their schedules and makes sure they get rent money. If they knew I wasn't that stable, dependable dude whose going to get them to make something great, they'd just grab a job working for a bigger, more secure company. If they do, all I have to my name is a failed project-- there are times I think I've been cursed with too much luck without the necessary experience. Moped/Donk's thing is a perfect example, it told a story and I was really interested in it and it was plain entertaining. Chumpy and Bore having an anime face-off was great. Caninae's stubborn skunk not sitting properly got a chuckle. But the part was literally just a bunch of people greeting each other and saying "hey what's up" over and over. Nothing fucking happened and it was not entertaining to outside viewers.

I'll be honest, Neighbor's Toy was the only one of your comics that's outright bored me. It was page after page of Bucky talking and that was it.
Clearly people dug it but to me at least there was no joke and no real spark between the characters so it felt like a halfassed fetish piece that didn't even complete.
