Jump 73: Innistrad
>Seven of Swords (A desperate attempt to resolve a matter without conflict. The use of cleverness or outright deception to turn the tide in your favor.)
>Age: 40
>Location: Free Choice
Thraben sounds like a nice place.
>Identity: Church of Avacyn, Angel (-300)
>Drawbacks: Siblings Game (+300), Howlpack Hunt (+300), Court of the Three-Day King (+200)
>A Good Guest (1400)
This fits nicely with those 'know the letter and spirit of the local law' type perks, but in a different way. Filling in local traditions as needed.
>Avacyn Will Protect You (Free, Avacyn)
Good and evil are relative, but being a dick can not be allowed!
>Benevolent Protection (Free, Avacyn)
I am a giant skeleton with angel wings! Fear not, I am a friend to all children! Seriously, all I'm missing to go full-on crazy mode is a luchador mask.
>Warding (1300, Avacyn)
Does this count as making my own symbol a holy symbol in the future? ...Well, still worth it.
>Gather To Me (1200, Avacyn)
Give me your tired, your poor, your huddles masses...
>Archmage (1000, Avacyn)
Pretty sure this makes me at least a 6/6 white creature with flying now.
>Blessing (800, Avacyn)
A sliver of my power... is this letting me empower priests? Am I going full-on deity with this now?!
>Rest In Peace (500, Avacyn)
And now I can sanctify graves in such a way that they cannot be desecrated. Very nice.
>Take Shelter Beneath My Wings (200, Avacyn)
And now I can hear the peoples' prayers! I've made a terrible mistake. I'm going to have to run around wearing a mortal visage just so I don't get a big head. Dammit.
>Vault of the Archangel (0, Avacyn)
I... I give up. I've gone from the monster that hunts monsters to being a light-aligned minor deity. This is like Pelor the Burning Hate, turned upon itself.
>>48005436
So... honestly? The Sibling Game is what I think I'd have the most problems with. Those kids can raise an army of zombies, given enough time, and that's a concern I'll need to nip in the bud as quickly as possible. Wolves? Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm well-equipped to deal with them, though I'll need to see whether I can find a way to cure them rather than putting them down. Though I think a lot of it is going to be me hovering overhead and laughing at them.
The court of the three-day king? Mm, well. That's going to be amusing. I expect that they will be slightly unsettled and annoyed, as my mortal visage will show little fear, but I'm sure others have bought into it before so it won't be entirely out of the ordinary. I shall be a benevolent ruler! It will be a party for them to enjoy. The wine shall flow freely, even if it seems a bit thick. We shall have the finest sweetmeats and desserts. And as things draw to a close, I shall stand up and make a speech.
"Gentlemen! Ladies! I daren't take too much of your time this late in the evening, but our third day is drawing to a close and I feel I must share a few words with you all before I enjoy my last meal tonight. It has been an honor to wear this crown. I feel as though I do not deserve it, but you have been so insistent, I could hardly refuse! This feast has been one for the ages, and I am flattered, as surprised as I might have been to be secreted here to take part in your festival. Of course, of course, I don't mean to wax poetic, but it's simply overwhelming. Ladies and gentlemen, I thank you for such a rich meal, and I promise you that I shall not let one bit of it go to waste."
At which point I drop my human visage, standing tall enough for my head to nearly brush the ceiling of the splendored hall, and give a wide, sharp-toothed skeletal smile to the collected vampires as I raise my gauntlet, prepared to eradicate them in one fell blow.
Creatures ain't got shit on MY instants.
>>48005436
Not the first time I've seen a light-themed skellington, oddly.
>>48005448
It is exactly the opposite of what I intended, but it seems that in the last ten jumps or so, I've had a face-heel turn, of sorts. Well. Face-face turn, but I was supposed to be the monster that other monsters feared. I guess a side effect of that would be 40k-esque iconography in the end for those who no longer have to live in fear, wouldn't it?
>>48005460
Enjoy your winged skull babies.
>>48005448
Oh? Who else is there?
Surprise Update 1.21, just some grammatical and spelling error fix.
Magicka anon-so about last thread, I'm concerned it might be difficult to find monster encounters in certain worlds. I've thought of the following workaround: If I delegate something else, like an Ensouled perk, that is technically part of myself but has much lesser overall abilities and a quasi-independent existence can that still earn coins in battles?
>>48005742
I'm not sure, but there was another Jumper from a while ago whose main theme was being a skeleton so that's at least one possibility.
>>48005926
Oh right Pharaoh Top-kek or something that one guy who was a tomb king.
>>48005848
Quick question - what is the "mid-series upgrade" that the Immelman perk refers to? Do all the Vanships get new motors or something?
Other than that, nice jump.
227. Panty and Stocking with Garter Belt
Origin: Drop-In, Age: 21
Perks: Artistic Reality, Slapstick (-100), Limbo Days (-300), Loser (-100), Ghost Magnet (-200), Spirit of Anarchy (-600)
Items: Sweet Threads
Drawbacks: Fanservice (+100), Annoying Fans (+100), Zombies (+100)
>A way to deactivate and reactivate appearance perks as necessary
Neat, I can stop making furries whenever I talk to strangers. I already have a way to dial beauty perks up or down, but deactivating all appearance perks completely and staying under the radar is still useful.
Sometimes I wish I had shame, but once the cats out of the bag I tend to lose interest in it. The fans slowly rising from my bath tub after my bath is pretty annoying, though. I confused them for a ghost at first, and decided to take no more bubble baths for this jump. Slapstick works well with Not Dumb Luck, Dumb Skills from Kim Possible, and since I have no dignity I don't mind the extra protection.
Anyways, as a Sylph of Breath, both Limbo Days and Spirit of Anarchy are astoundingly useful ways to help people and heal old wounds. Freedom is a great thing, and I have a way to temper it if it goes too far and starts hurting people. You can overdose on damn near anything, after all.
And for the story, I more or less opposed hell and the undead as often as possible. In order for them to care, I had to deactivate Loser, which would draw in admirers, and during the fights, I tended to lose clothes. So, naked ghost punching and accidental BDSM pornography was my life here. I wasn't on the best terms with Heaven, either, but we weren't enemies.
I'm looking for a jump to start my new chain, i'd like to have some sort of memory perk, other than that could be anything but NOT Kotor or pokemon. What other jumps are there that give nice memory perks?
>>48005936
I was thinking of someone else actually-fella called Skellyanon, who was a skeleton specifically instead of a mummy.
But yeah, I guess that would fit the bill technically.
>>48005987

Might be too late to ask this, but what happens if a human takes Archetype? What could they expect to get by standing head and shoulders over other humans, after however insanely long it take to reach that point? Is it a substantial boost, or is it not big enough to be worth doing?

The 2000 is basically a clunky as hell PDA. It provides GPS functionality, inventory management, and quest tracking.
The 3000 does all that but in the form of a clunky as hell armband, and additionally picks up radio stations and has combat targeting support systems.
>>48006528
It also has a better Geiger counter and inventory management system, and can be used as a flashlight.
>>48006690
>better Geiger counter
Better as in it actually has one.
The 2000 didn't have any radiation detection and you instead had to get a Geiger Count yourself.
All this talk about Fallout makes me curious. Jumpers, how'd your first fight with a Deathclaw go?
>>48006528
The Radio is of course the most important upgrade. After all, how else will you listen to Jet Set Radio?
>>48006838
It involved me running away very quickly, I could have actually killed it easily but I have played fallout so it was a conditioned response.
>>48006816
>had to get a Geiger Count yourself
I read that as had to BE a Geiger Count yourself.
>>48006838
Pretty well. I choose to weaponize it. Not in the "kill it and use its hand to make a deathclaw gauntlet" sense, but in the "pick it up and throw it into a raider encampment" sense.
>>48006838
There was no fight with a deathclaw. I actually spent most of the jump doing drugs and gambling with the ocassional bit of MAD SCIENCE!!! thrown in for variety.
It was great.

The Archaic speech adds a layer of flavor to it so it's not that bad, I'm more worried about the biting.
What I'm going to do is read the media collection and memorize it, then become the ultimate master ruseman concocting cruel, strange and elaborate ruses thanks to the keikaku master and critical perks
>>48004063
Living Connectors for everything, you want to shoot up with a Core Medal instead of a Memory, go right ahead. Oppressed masses kept just barely short of achieving their desires so the Megacorps can get loads of Cell Medals. Being a Dopant or Zodiart is extremely common, some have figured out ways around the negatives, others just don't care so long as they have power. Depending on nation Greeeds are either running everything or constantly on the run. Near brainless clones are mass produced so rich kids can play W. Large scale tension between Zodiarts and Dopants because Zodiarts give no shits about the Earth, while Dopants are drawing upon the Gaia Library for power. OOOs derived beings are mostly ambivalent, being tied to neither Space, nor Earth. Yummies are used as a carefully controlled workforce, some of the crazier rich people have even started using ones made from themselves as butlers.
>>48006958
On the subject of Core and Cell Medals: Is it possibly for a robot to use the Birth or OOOs Kamen Rider Belts, or do they require that certain something special that Humans have?
>>48006958
Sounds cool, but what do you mean by 'play W'?
>>48006838
It went great, which kinda made it such.
See, I was a Super Mutant who, by the time I encountered a Deathclaw, had managed to build an entire suit of power armor for myself.
A problem inadvertently came from that however. Word quickly spread of a 12ft tall armored monster that is beating up Death Claws in fist fights. From my perspective, and probably some of you, that sounds awesome. But from the perspective of the survivors in fallout? Civilians would shit themselves and run, Enclave remnants would try to hunt me down, and some of the Brotherhood were convinced that I was Frank Horrigan back from the dead.
Needless to say, I had a tough time making friends.
>>48007097
Kamen Rider W is made of two people. If you have a mindless body then you can put it in danger with little to no risk to yourself.
>>48007133
>made it suck*
>>48007097
Using the Double Driver. Effectively you have warehouses full of clones taught to act as the other half of the Rider. Meaning the rich have the massive advantage of effectively being able to use two Memories at once with far reduced consequences.
>>48006997
My best guess would be something like they have to be able to experience desire.
>>48007146
>>48007160
Ah. That makes sense.
Human rights violations aside, buying a clone to act as your other half as a two-person Rider sounds interesting.
>>48007180
Indeed it does. If you're out and about they stay at home and wait for your command, or if you keep the belt on you can telepathically communicate with them so you could use them like a pda or on demand researcher.
If you want to have some fun you send them out in rider form with yourself in charge, and if things get dangerous you teleport the memories back to you and go turn on the next clone. There'd likely be blood sports in arenas and the like for something like robot wars with Kamen Riders.
This would be a terrible future, which I think is the idea.
>>48007133
>Super Mutant in power armor
You're right, that does sound awesome. Sorry it caused you so much grief.
>>48006838
Well, the first few times I only ever fought them by sniping them to get their attention then luring them into minefields.
Then came the old one-two punch of the venom dart to the leg and massed fire.
Then straight up power armor wrestling the Enclave ones to crack their encryption chips so I had my own army to send against the cyber-super-mutants of the +300 rival. That was not fun.
>>48007287
That's terrible, but it also sounds really cool.
I'd probably buy a few clones just so I give them a chance to live like normal people.

No, never mind.
Just call me Goggles.
Goggles are a highly useful, if optional, accessory! In addition to looking cool and sciency, they protect your eyes!
You know, from stray objects flopping about, or maybe excess fluids.
Idonthavetoexplainshit.
Anyway, I mostly hung out in the church with my "sisters", a pale girl with greasy overgrown hair, playing videogames in a darkened room.
I was the team's techwiz! If they can even be said to need such a thing. And I also (begrudgingly) helped bust ghosts.
That's about it, yeah.
Absolutely nothing else interesting happened, in this ongoing war of ghosts and demons.

>>48007519
Perks? Who needs perks when you've got technology? I'll lay out the plan for you.
Step 1: Jump Shadow run.
Step 2: Have a Smart-Link aiming system and Optical HUD installed. Pretty low Essence cost, so you're not losing much.
Step 3: Take a Smart-Link capable firearm and have some techie rip out the aiming circuitry.
Step 4: Install these circuits in a glove. Will be very low key. Get a pair of gloves with fancy arcane sigils stitched into it and no one will be able to see it.
Step 5: Now you'll know exactky where your hand is aimed at all times. Can turn this off when you're just relaxing.
Step 6: Stop blowing up moons you madman.

Does anyone know of any technology or perk that allows the development of weaponry that can take extremely high energy input? Been looking at the microverse battery and my general "Mitochondrial Microverse Battery's" augmentations and I was wondering if there was any tech that would allow me to channel all this energy into a blast or something and not have a risk of taking myself out in the backlash, or everything else for that matter.

They're pretty much standard issue for runners.
Losing essence as a mage sucks, no matter how little since even a minuscule amount will remove a big chunk of magic capacity.
And you want all the magic capacity you can get for more powerful spells and spirits.

It went well. It was more a challenge thanks to the power limitation of the jump. However I figured my strongest attacks are equivalent to hitting with power armor and powerfist which can reasonably shatter concrete. Adaptability allows one to quickly understand the anatomy of opponents. So I targeted the joints, breaking deathclaw's arms, then ripping the achilles heel. Super Mutants are tougher to take down. but you can spend your time and energy solving the problems of this broken world and get a little bit of reward out of it.

Quick question regarding the Mad King DLC.
How does Kougami react upon hearing the news of Jumper defeating the King and destroying the Throne? What about claiming the Throne?
What kind of magic does NGNL Jibril do? I know she does a massive capital killing spell that leaves her without magic for 5 years. However does she know any healing/buffing spells? White Magic stuff.

He'll probably celebrate the birth of your victory
>>48008608
Pic Related for claiming the throne, he's ecstatic. He's slightly LESS happy with destroying the throne but he's just excited that your desire overrode the King's. After all, if the king wanted it hard enough he would've won the day. You wanted it more, and your desire overcame a dude who could've taken over the world if it weren't for his obsession with destroying the pretender in Japan

That's the great thing about Kougami. He looks like he'd be some evil schemer that's going to be the real final boss, like we've had with previous Kamen Riders. But no, he's actually just super excited to see all this stuff happen, and has no plans to seize power of his own. Hell, I'm pretty sure that even the "harvest Cell Medals as a clean energy source" bit was just something he made up to justify this whole venture to his investors. Really, he just wants to see Kamen Rider fights, and that's a motivation that I think we can all agree with.

With a theme like this, being a CEO(considering that Kamen Rider's had an understandable bad rash of evil corporations such as SMART BRAIN and the later successors of Yggdrasil), and being pretty excited when the greeed are unleashed
as well as basically being responsible for the plot as it stands
It wouldn't be unjustified to say he's the inciting antagonist
But someone like Dr. Maki is probably more of an out and out villain and the real 'bad guy'
still it's interesting cause Kougami is basically in all other respects a kamen rider bad guy
Just not a 'bad guy'

So... a member of the royal family, but not a son of Queen Zeal; still a prince but not in the direct line of descent. It's no surprise, then, that when I spoke of concerns with Schala about Lavos, I was branded a heretic by her and the trial commenced. Certainly, I did my best to prove my innocence as nothing I did was illegal, but when the monarch herself is accusing you, you rapidly realize you are in a kangaroo court. It amused me how well they hushed it up - they made excuses for where I was, no one was permitted to speak in my defense, and in the end, I chose to leave rather than be executed.
And by leave, I mean in the time machine.
>>48009965
Now, the thing is... after that point, I travelled to and from many eras, doing my best not to interfere, hoping that Crono and his friends would deal with things, but... I ended up meeting them in 2300 AD, because my conscience wouldn't let me NOT help the people out. I knew they'd get the seeds in canon, but there are other places where humanity survives, and I visited them before I watched the Day of Lavos with them. And then, I told them what I had found.
Lavos isn't guiding the evolution of mankind and technology. He's repeatedly been interfering with humanity's rise and causing their fall. The greatest fall was that of Zeal in 12,000 BC, but humanity has been around for sixty-five million years, essentially unchanged - wildlife changes and mutates, various things done to monster races, but the dominant species of the planet remains stagnant. The only difference is that he interfered directly in 12,000 BC.
I went my own way, rather than joining them. Did my best to not inferfere with the canon plot too much. But I bided my time, regained my strength, and met up with the heroes in Zeal, in disguise for obvious reasons. When Lavos was summoned and Zeal fell... I reached out with my magic and moved Schala to safety, though to the others it looked like she'd simply disappeared as she had in canon. I was able to do that for Janus as well, but it was for the best that I didn't. As I explained to Schala, I was unwilling to make blatant disruptions to the timeline - she did not take it well, of course, but once I told her the heights Janus would reach simply to get her back, she understood a bit better.
As things progressed we largely shadowed the others. Once Frog and Magus spoke and Frog chose not to slay him, Magus and Schala reunited and she chose to join their party instead. I chose not to but still ended up where they were going by a matter of coincidences. Fought alongside them to eliminate Lavos. And after that wished them all well, and moved on.
>>48009981
By moved on, I don't mean I left - I mean I was attacked by King Zeal after going back to the ruins of my former civilization. It's not a surprise after all, I'd spoken against Lavos and he knew me as his brother's son and not as a warrior who would fight Lavos, but he was empowered by the beast so I should not have been surprised that I had to resort to cheap tricks to survive his ambush and win. Of course, he'd already screwed with the timeline, so I spent a good period of time putting THAT all back to rights.
And then I was attacked by, of all things, armies of ever-more-advanced Reptites, and ended up dealing with some crazed AI behind them that was ALSO trying to serve Lavos.
God, what a nightmare.
I hate that hedgehog.
>>48010003
In retrospect, I should have dropped some perks and the living metal, skipped the drawbacks, and gone straight for the Day of Lavos out of the gate.

One of the Spin perks from Jojo basically makes you the Number Man from Worm with all the bullshit trajectory calculations that implies.
>>48010648
Only if you have a bunch of right angles around you, though. You need to be able to see a right angle to produce the Spin.
>>48010721
What about wrong angles?
>>48010643
Only if someone new makes it, and adds a Montrepreneur background
>>48010721
Part of the perk lets you perceive right angles easily, and it just generally improves your aim anyway.
>The Golden Rectangle
>Analyzing the environment around you allows you to instinctively see just the perfect rectangle in a given area, and as such the golden spiral within that. This analyzation allows you to perfectly calculate the trajectory of any thrown object, especially when directed along that spiral path. In general, your ability to calculate trajectory and projectile speed is greatly increased.

This place is singularly unpleasant. Strangely I attract the attention of all sorts of evil creatures here. The males want to kill me, the females seem to want to keep me around. I've been moving around a lot. I've encountered a ton of werewolves here, but I found wereravens as well. They are less common, but considerably nicer. I've added raven dna to the immortal virus to make my own biological wereravens rather than the local magical ones(though magic and biology seem to go hand in hand here, much like angel and demon dna).

I've no idea, but I would think there would be a host background and then a drop in background. Not much ideas wise for either. Hell I have no ideas for any of it, other than thinking the setting has potential as a jump and that the current disallowed jump doesn't do the best job of showing off the more interesting non lewd aspects of the setting other than offering a lot of race options for extraspecies.

Nnnnope! Discounts are from origins. But it also lets you learn in jump stuff from the other origin even if you don't buy things from that tree.
>>48012090
Why'd you reduce the discount on Archetype? What happens if you buy it as a non-Angel/Demon?
>>48012090
If Cursed to Earth requires you to earn X number of coins before you leave, and only Angel weapons can hurt ghosts doesn't that mean that the Demons can't take that drawback?
>>48012444
And what's the stuff you can learn in-jump? Because none of the Angel/Demon specific perks sound like things you can learn.
Hybrid honestly seems overpriced to me...
>>48012090

>You're a smart dude, come up with shit.
...No, no I am not. Why do you think I'm asking? But fair enough, guess Hybrid is dropped from my build as useless on its own.
>Archetype changes the amount of time needed to achieve Archangel/demon hood from "Post-Spark unless you do some time extension hax" down to "Can reasonably attain within the Jumpchain, likely within a couple thousand years".
Ah... That still tells me very little on what it does. But does answer the question on whether or not I want to buy it. I'll assume it's simply "your abilities become kaiju-size faster" and ignore it.

Mind Over Matter 500

Who Needs Plans 700
Reality Check 1000

Not particularly big on bodybuilding unfortunately.
Mind Over Matter gives you 100% control over your own body and its functions which is the sort of unglamorous but obscenely valuable perk. You can't really say when it's going to be useful but it'll make you better at most things most of the time.
Skills gives me some basic skills in pretty much everything.
Who Needs Plans fills the holes in my plans with plot armour. Nonsensical plans and perks that promote such are one of the cornerstones of my builds.
Not entirely sure about the limits of Reality Check. Works explicitly on rule of cool and videogame physics which makes it worth it off the bat. No idea about stuff like magic. Seems like it'd make sense if it did thematically but it'd be pretty OP if it did and doesn't mention it so probably doesn't. Maybe magic that doesn't make sense?
Honour Bound means I've got to be honourable which is fine as I'm going to try to stay out of whatever everyone is fighting about.

To the town of New Vegas rode a mutant one fine day. Hardly spoke to folks around him, didn't have too much to say. No one dared to ask his business, no one dared to make a slip. The mutant there among them had a deathclaw under his hips. It was early in the mornin when he rode into the town, came riding from the south road slowly lookin all around. He's a raider loose and wild came the screams on every lip, and he's here to do some raidin with the deathclaw under his hips.
I wrestled/tased it unconscious, trained it into a mount, and rode across the Mojave on it. Was only a hassle when I tried to find a place to hitch the feller, kept wanting to go on adventures with me. Broke the fellah's heart when I told him pets weren't allowed in the establishments. Tohno Gland doesn't really need explanation. Always seem to take Harem Protagonist perks even though I'm not entirely sure I'd want to live my life like that. Still, good to have in the chamber.
Inhuman grants a low-end superhuman body with the ability to train better. Training bit is nice.
No Sell is why I'm making a build for this out of alphabetical order. stupid_dog suggested it as a way of getting around the dragon weaknesses from being the Avatar in Fire Emblem: Fates. Stuff like Wyrmsbanes aren't common but they're not really unique to Fire Emblem and I want to avoid being critted.
Dead Apostle makes inhuman seem a bit silly and comes with a magic boost and a power growth with age dynamic. Weaknesses are a good reason to go for No Sell.
In the Name of the Moon is circumstantially useful but it's implied that the buff is pretty ridiculous. Usually pretty easy to find somewhere with moonlight if things get serious and I'm on Earth.
Companion import bought some magic that he can try to teach me and a cut-price version of Wuxia's Rakansen. Neat stuff.
Pretty funny dynamic in this one. I'm the vampire butler/familiar to my companion and I've got to do what they say and keep them alive. Doubt I'll be made to do anything particularly onerous but I'm happy with stepping back and letting my bodyguard call the shots as far as plans go.
Couldn't find a picture I even barely liked related to Tsukihime.

witness (clothes included), including living flames or armored monstrosities. You can even combine forms to look like John Carpenter-esque nightmares to freak people out! You can turn into anything the size of an African elephant or your normal size (unaided by superpowers, magic, or shrink/growth rays or similar super-science; perks that increase your base height and alternate forms do count though) whichever is greater.

Nobody ever accomplished anything by being a complete bitch. Risk is arguably worth it.
>>48013979
I thought about that one, but I actually forgot it let you assume the shape of none living things.
>>48013936
It's not a trap if it tells you that it has drawbacks. Not to mention Shapeshifter isn't even close to a trap.
Was I hallucinating or was there an old spyro dragon supplement? Does that still exist?
>>48013991
The trap labeled trap is the most insidious trap of all. You think you're ready for it, because trap, but then it springs on you and your overconfidence couples with the trap to make your death all the more obnoxious.
But you're right, Shapeshifter isn't a trap. When coupled with You Do Not Exist it becomes one.
>>48013981
>Nobody ever accomplished anything by being a complete bitch.
Agreed.
>Risk is arguably worth it.
Disagree.
Hey Jumpchain, when I Jump to DC can I get training from Val Armorr AKA Karate Kid, and if so how large of a boost would that grant me.
I'm doing a Martial Arts themed jumpchain that started in Ranma 1/2 and has gone to Wu Xia. Some general recommendations for martial arts jumps would also be nice, I don't feel ready for DC just yet with only two jumps to me.
Planet of the Apes jump when?>inb4 Rule 1
>>48014105
Take a "you're still you" perk. Disarm the trap.
>>48013991
It does try to shit over the overall umbrella rules of the jumpchain to be extra edgy. Yes, it is a trap. Also bad design.
Bad stuff goes away when the jump ends. That is a main rule of the jumpchain.
Like those jumps that try stealth insert text to dictate your relationship with Jumpchan and what he/she/it thinks are interesting that are contrary to how you have been playing her in all the previous jump, and crap like Fallout that try it auto impose a mandatory drawback for not points.
Not having full control of a perk after the dump ends is the definition of a trap. Trying to use a Perk to IMPOSE Other Instant Loose Conditions in SUBSEQUENT JUMPS is the definition if a trap.
Also Dick behavior.
>>48014157
History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi
>>48014191
Huh a general physical boost that allows you to train up your general stats infinitely. That's really good.
Has anyone ever let go of the Chain for a while before coming back? As in they chose to go home at the end of a Chain but came back to it.
>>48014157
Well, sure, you could learn from him if you managed to get to the 30th century. And assuming you were able to internalize his teachings as well as he himself can fight, you'd be able to defeat entire armies with peak baseline (though comicbook baseline) human abilities.
>>48014257
Inb4 "THAT'S AGAINST DA RULEZ"
>>48013644
There is also Teen Titans Animal Morphing which gives you Beast Boys power. Any Non magical animal. That lets you do Dinosaurs and Alien animals.
You can add a cosmetic Shapeshifting perk to jailbreak it. This would let you talk the form of anything near the size of any animal you can change into.
>>48014157
It may be a bit too soon for you but try Elona for the Assault perk
"When attacking foes with your bare fists, you strike true. Don't wield any weapons and you'll
end up hitting more often, occasionally doing double the normal amount of damage. Some say this can't replace a sword, but you'll show them. You'll show them all!"
Also check out: Onslaught, Eagle Eye, Piercing Sword, Ambidextrous, Master Arm Wrestler, Martial Artist, Vampiric Power, Rampage and Softcap from the same jump.
>>48013798
>"Roanapur is in flames tonight as the gang violence that has made the city infamous finally exploded into all out warfare in the streets. Those few lucky enough to escape the carnage and bloodshed told panicked stories of their experiences."
>Cut to an absolutely terrified woman with one arm in a sling and a bandage covering half her head.
>"No no! It wasn't gangs! They were the targets, not the instigators. I saw them! There were six of them! They tore into the Triad headquarters with weapons I've never seen! Military shit or something. Bullets exploding and tearing through concrete like tissue paper. But then, the main guy, the crazy looking one, raised his hand and shouted something in, like, Mayan or something, and BOOM! People started just exploding!"
The news was relatively correct at first, but after the initial reports, talk of magic and futuristic weapons were credited to high-tech explosives and unknown terrorist groups. I was a little insulted, but I didn't stay too long after the city had finished burning to the ground.I still regret killing Sofiya.
So could I use Dark Knowledge from Overlord to recreate a Reality Marble in a less shitty system than Magecraft?
>>48014284
Fastest way is to ask one of the local time travelers to help out but if that don't work there's always Thor's hammer from Kung Fury, another place I found that has some good Kung Fu for my search.
>>48014296
Er, no it isn't. Is this one of the Unwritten Rules? I understand if it is, however I just re-read through the How-to and the Rules in OP and nothing says you can't join the Chain twice in a row
.
>>48014389
Cool and thanks, though that is outside my level as I am right now.
>>48014444
I believe that Reality Marbles are technically not actually part of Magecraft, but their own system.
>>48014444
Magecraft doesn't cause Reality Marbles, it's the result of a Reality Marble.
Nice quads by the way.
>>48014157
Isn't Karate Kid that light-skinned asian kid who can Kung Fu so well that he can beat up Kryptonians? As in Massively Faster Than Light, literally lift an infinite amount of weight Kryptonians? I'd recommend investing in at least one plot armor perk before trying to learn anything from him, along with a shit ton of learning/martial arts perks.
>>48014508
As in 'inconsistent as fucking anything power level Kryptonians'?
>>48014486
now there's a time travel method, smack yourself in the face with a hammer till you are in the future. Course then you overshoot your destination.
>>48014508
Only Death Battle Kryptonians can lift infinite mass, and they're wanked to shit.
>>48014507
>Magecraft doesn't cause Reality Marbles, it's the result of a Reality Marble.
Wait what? I thought reality marbles where the result of having a very strange view of reality then using magecraft to enforce that view on the outside world.
>>48014557
Nope. Reality Marbles happen on their own. Magecraft is the result of humans interacting with Gaia's Reality Marble.
>>48014577
So, theoretically, Reality Marbles would work anywhere, whereas Magecraft would only work on Earth?
>>48014577
>I totally just pulled shit out of my ass by guessing and it turned out to be true
In true Nasuverse Fashion! Damn I'm good.
>>48014593
I thought magical Energy was a result of Odic life force interacting with Gaia's energy something, though?
>>48014536
>>48014552
Or in Crisis Events. An let's be clear you massive butt babies, Kryptonians are ridiculously superhuman in the comics and Karate Kid is supposed to be a normal human who can beat them them because he's just that good at martial arts. You need at least one plot armor/meta perk if you want to learn anything from him. The character is completely bullshit even in the context of DC.
>>48014593
Well, there's usual Jumpchain fiat rules allowing you to use magic systems outside of their native metaphysics, so you'd be fine in other universes. In the Nasuverse itself there might be problems if you went into space, though.
>>48014508
Yep, he's kinda awesome, though often people like to dispute his feats (>>48014536 that too) when he's brought up. As for the Martial Arts Perks, my theme for the Jump is Martial Arts and I've so far been to Ranma 1/2 (My first martial arts manga), Wu Xia (Love the few that I've read, Melancholy Fist is sad but cool), with the addition of Kung Fury (Fairly funny IMO), and Histories Strongest Disciple, Dead or Alive just went on the list as well. I'm thinking about nabbing Sword Art Online or something else that has the 'you are a single rep learner' perk. Can anyone think of any other good Martial Arts jumps.
>>48014625
If by "plot armor" you mean "colossal balls". Karate Kid doesn't have the power of being a fan favorite like Batman has, he just gives so little of a shit that he can tackle gods anyways. All the Legion are like that. Brainiac 5 once punched out entropy. Literally. This is a team where "fuck the arrow of time, I'm a gonna punch it!" is something the SMARTEST member says. And not a single fuck was given that day.
>>48014508
Karate Kid is just a regular dude who knows super-karate, and all known forms of earth martial arts. He holds his own against Supergirl and Supes for a little bit, but he's always gotten his ass handed to them. I'm sure he could beat Batman in hand to hand though, then again Batman cheats using technology.
>>48014682
Well in either case he clearly has a super power. Probably "Super Martial Arts" which likely isn't something that can bet taught. Unless it's mentioned that he learned it from someone and that he isn't some sort of one in 7E156 prodigy?
>>48014644
Jade Empire
KOTOR
Clone Wars
Naruto
>>48014682
The Legion is kinda quirky at times yes.
>>48014696
>>48014739
Actually, Manyfist, Karate Kid knows every marital arts in the Galaxy that can be taught to a humanoid frame in the 30th Century. Also thanks for the recommendations. I forgot that the Star Wars universe has a rainbow of delightful martial arts.
>>48014729
He's explicitly just a practitioner of martial arts, although yes he is a prodigy of his art. Just a baseline human, though he does practice Super Martial Arts as a fusion of every art he's learned being used at once.

That drawback explicitly states that SOPA passes, Youtube and other sites are burned to the ground, and you have to bring it back to finish the Jump.

Fuck, no, I was trying to discourage that because it's boring. If you're going to powergame with it, at least do some powergaming that hasn't been done a dozen times over already. Like, okay, how about going to Campione's version of Camelot, and then you kill Rama (in that universe, King Arthur was actually the Hindu demigod Rama. Though given how gods are born from myths and not the other way around, Rama's actions as Arthur did spawn a separate King Arthur spirit) and his Round Table of Heretical Gods, and then you and your companions all get Campione powers. A huge mana boost like you'd get from a Mana Core, increased durability, healing and magic resistance, and what amounts to a Noble Phantasm based off the legend of the god you killed. Huh? Frankly the drawback's not worth it anyway. You have to babysit Arthur and Camelot for ~2400 years, and all you get as a reward is a magic sword and a knight that you almost certainly could have acquired better versions of in the other ~239 jumps you could've done by then.

Will it let me recreate the original chains used to bind the monster, apply it's eldritch effects to other weapons, something I'm missing by a country mile?
>>48016303
Eh, I don't think it's so much a Nasuverse-style "all old magic is better" as it is that Merlin was just straight-up better than literally everyone else, past, future, or present.
>>48016315
That or potterverse Arthur happens later than many Arthurs. It's not like there isn't plenty of different times used.
>>48016317
He's used in place of "god" in every day speech, like "thank merlin" rather than "Thank god"
And he was in Slytherin
That's all we know
>>48016317
dunno, but his name was used by wizards the same way muggles would use god. Not saying they worshiped him, but he musta been hella powerful.
>>48016349
>Merlin was a Slytherin
It all makes sense now.
>>48016349
still, it's pretty canon that much of magic has gotten weaker over time in that verse(most likely due to inbreeding and slipping educational standards to make the inbred idiots continue to pass) So learning magic then would give you all sorts of stuff that modern potterverse has only dreamed of.
>>48016315
Perhaps they're running with the remembering forwards in time Merlin. He attended Hogwarts towards the end of his life, after all his grand feats and powers.
>>48016365
Harry likely would have been Slytherin if he hadn't met Draco or Ron.
>>48016389
We have no proof, or even hintings, of this that I'm aware of.
>>48016365
Cunning and Ambitious.
>>48016400
Who knows, maybe being a Slytherin would have made him less angsty. Also less willfully ignorant of the Magical World
>>48016349
So was Merlin Slytherin's token not-a-pathetic-cunt? Or was a he another evil incompetent magic giga-nazi? I wonder f Rowling ever considered the implications of putting one of the most famous mythological wizards of Europe in the shittiest school in Hogwarts.
>>48016365
#notallSlytherins
>>48016414
I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere that Rowling did it BECAUSE she fucked up so badly at making Slytherin all evil from the time they are eleven.
So she was trying to make this point >>48016416
>>48016414
I always took it to mean that ambition isn't out and out evil, you do get good examples of ambitious people. It just matters what your ambitions are and how you pursue them.
>>48016345
Well, it had to have been when the Romano-British culture was still around, that's pretty central to the myth, so it can't be any later than 597 AD. And Hogwarts was founded in 990 AD, so Merlin would have been at a minimum 393 years old.
Nightside King Arthurs Court. Merlin was supposed to be the antichrist, but he told his daddy to fuck off.
>>48016453
That's not too far from the original myth, actually. Merlin was supposedly the son of the devil, though not actually the antichrist. The devil has lots of kids, not all of them are going to bring about the end of days.
>>48016453
Merlin is the son of an Incubus/Satan in a decent chunk of versions of the story.
>>48016443
actually, that's more central to the theoretical historical Arthur. Many of the Arthur's are portrayed in a more anglo-saxon way. Especially the ones in tin cans rather than roman style armor.
>>48016414
He would have to be, since the only other option is Horace "I'm going to protect myself from the most powerful evilest wizard ever by turning myself into a couch" Slughorn.
Or Regulus Black I guess.
>>48016430
Meh. Too little to late. Even the 'good' Slytherin like Slughorn and Snape are slimy, selfish dickwads. The house is so retardedly hateful, that well, it's retarded. The fact that it's only real awesome member is from 1000 years ago only makes it worse.
>>48016477
Which really makes no sense, because King Arthur's legend has him fighting the Saxons. It's kind of a big part of the Matter of Britain.
>>48016473
>>48016474
Yeah, but not every version has the nightside. (though it has barely started to exist at that point) or such artifacts as the Speaking Gun or the Unholy Grail. Actually, that's a good reason not to go there.
>>48016499
>Snape
>Good
Letting an infant die so you can fuck his grieving mother is not Good
>>48016499
Inbreeding, back then, the house was worth something. Moldieshorts on has it as the house of the most inbred.
>>48016453
We need a damn Nightside jump. I have no fucking idea where someone would even start with the origins, but I want one so fucking bad. Everything about that setting except John Taylor is great.
>>48016336
Yeah, but remember he had to deal with wizards on or about his level, like Morgan and Nimue. Although Morgan might be the human name of Mab for all we know.
>>48016527
Snape isn't good, he's just not the big bad. That would be dumblemort. or voldiedore.
>>48016499
There is an unknown amount of confirmation bias, though. How many in Slytherin don't get described in the books? Because in a house that sorts the "Ambitious and Cunning", I'd be much more worried about the anonymous quiet ones...
>>48016527
Did you see the quote marks?
>>48016561
honestly, I think draco got into slytherin cause the hat didn't want to touch his hair product. That and he was too inbred to be accepted elsewhere.
>>48016513
>Modern Britain celebrates Arthur despite him against fighting the Saxon precursors to their ancestors.
Pretty weird desu. I mean, most of them are mixed up from all the invaders from all the way back to the Britons to the Normans, but still, have more cultural lineage to the Saxons than the Britons.

Stand: Hotel California
This stand is a building sized space that allows me to know the desires of those within it while giving me an increase in seduction (lets me know what to say when regarding the desires of others) No one who enters can leave untill I will it (or they beat me), it makes them move in semi involuntary ways (nudging them mentally to seek out and fullfill their desires) while altering itsself to fulfill the desires of those within. I cannot leave until everyone else has left or everyones wishes are satisfied. Works best if there is already a building in place. If someones desires cannot be satisfied or procured by me or the building it will turn against them, changing from a hotel of wonders and delight into one of nightmares.
If someone knows it’s a stand and means either me or it harm then it will no longer try to hold them through their desires and will instead try to hold them by force turning violent by locking doors, turning any others within it against them, or possibly trying to inforce and bring forth any self destructive desires.
Has no real direct offensive power other than that of anyone else trapped inside.
My plan here is to try and meet up with the joestars and get on their food side then adventure around with them for a bit. I want to meet of with the flame powerred egyption dude and their french friend and help out on their quest to defeat Dio.
If they dont try and kill me for being a vampire. As well as trying to figure out exactly where jojos hair and his hat end and where the other begins.
Also posing. Got to get gud at posing.

Remus would probably be pretty chill with that. Scared to death would be pissed as fuck.
>>48016414
I like the idea that Slytherin is still recovering from Tom and all his lackeys being members. It's stained with being "You Know Who's house," and we know kids can reject a house if they don't want to be in it, so the only people who won't are future Death Eaters and assholes. All the really ambitious kids are too ambitious to want that stain.

>Not calling Dumbledore "Gellert" every time you speak to him.
>>48016634
>I did laugh to Remus' Face, and to Greyback's. Because of how stereotypical their names are for Werewolves.
I'm fairly certain that Remus's parents wanted him to be a werewolf. Because Lupin, fine, that's a real name. I can excuse the family being the Lupins. But naming him Remus is just asking for a werewolf to bite him. It's like naming him Arsene and expecting for him not to become a master thief.
>>48016684
I know right?
I'm convinced that "Fenrir Greyback" is not the guy's real name, because who the fuck names their kid "Fenrir Greyback"? It has to be a pseudonym.
>>48016634
To be fair, Greyback is probably an assumed named.
Remus has no such excuse.
Seriously, naming your kid Remus Lupin in a world where werewolves exist and then fucking with the biggest swinging dick among werewolves is probably not the best idea.
>>48016634
A fair few fanfics show Millicent Bulstrode as really sweet deep down, but no one accepts her accept the death nibblers because she isn't conventionally attractive. No idea if she is unconventionally attractive, but she has to be better than umbridge. Of course a kick in the crotch is better than umbridge(even if film umbridge is less visually hideous than book umbridge her personality still makes her hideous).
>>48016634
Oh I agree. Snape's redeeming factor was that he was 'brave' (because of course, the only way you can truly know that he Important and Good is that he secretly a Gryffindor!) even though he was batshit neowizardnazi douchebag who fucking murdered innocent people with no regrets. The only reason why he even helped Harry was because of his massive boner for his mom, and he still bullied Harry because his father beat him up in highschool.

Warbandit's not going to see much use, but that's fine since I can just beat robots to death with my bare hands. That taken care of, my allies and I use our invisibility powers to start running industrial espionage on the Medabots Corporation to steal all their technology.
After that, and with nothing of importance left to do, it's time to conquer North Korea again. Since our powers and identities came out while wiping out the Rubberrobos, I'll skip the alien cover story this time. We're in charge because we're strong enough to take it and no one cares enough to stop us. The new charisma and diplomacy perks I've picked up since my last non-alchoholic at nation building will hopefully see me through it.
Have to say though, the guy who kept coming all the way over just to robattle my barely functional Warbandit. Still, the real draw here is the tech upgrade after jump. I get blueprints for repair nano-bots, time dilation, laser shielding, and transforming robot parts.

Do feel a bit sorry for him. I rolled Slytherin, so I ended up giving him The Talk about how not to be a dick, and told his dad to either get in line or GTFO. Now of course normally that would've gone ridiculously badly for a 11yo, but it's a different tune when the 11yo is a prophesied potential Dark Lord whose mere presence accidentally caused Turban!Voldemort to spontaneously explode (Van Helsing's Paladin plus Darksiders' Archangel) in a blast of holy fire. Oops.
Actually the fact that I couldn't remember the story by the time I got to Harry Potter made it more fun than it would've been. For example, I had no idea where Riddle hid his horcruxes, but you could usually tell by the angelic chorus accompanying something being blasted into ashes the moment I got within forty feet of them. Although sometimes it was some other Dark Artifact or a Dementor, and unless I turned my aura off Death Eaters couldn't come within forty feet of me without their Marks catching fire.

Not really. Mainly because there's not really many people that are fleshed out.
And I don't dislike the pairing because I dislike either character, I don't like it because I don't think they would work well as a long term relationship.
Even the epilogue shows that with the drivers license thing. He gets one because she thinks he can't, which is bad on both parts. When he fails the test, instead of taking it again, he just mind screws the person giving the test, which is highly unethical, especially for someone who's supposed to be a law enforcement guy.

Supposedly, it was illegal until 1967 for wizards to have anything to do with Muggles. At all.
Presumably, muggleborns were kidnapped at the age of eleven.

>>48017991
>I still don't understand why magecraft is getting weaker or why it works differently from how it used to
Because magic in Fate is like a river, and mages are like people using it. When you just have a couple people using it to power their water wheels, it's still going to keep coursing without issue. When you've got dozens of people using it for irrigation and power and drawing water from it and everything else, you're going to wind up with nothing but silt.
>>48018020

>>48018061
Killing off most of Humanity so the rest will grow stronger is Gilgamesh's plan.
>>48018020
But that's false actually, magecraft is getting weaker because the planet is making it weaker be altering its laws to accommodate humanity while dying at the same time, slowly making the 'mysteries' that people use to alter the world's laws both less effective and less common.
This can be evidenced by the fact that phantasmal beasts have actually gotten weaker too over time. It's just Gaia being a shit.

>>48018061
Far as I know, the mechanical explanation for why more humans = shittier humans is that there's a finite amount of soulstuff to share between everyone.
Unless you cut 'em down to millions again and reincarnate in-setting naturally (without the chain ending) you won't get shit on that end.
For Magecraft, I got no clue. Mystery never made much sense to me.

Won't work, because you'll be in another setting and all your powers will function via Jump-Chan fiat, which preserves them how they function in the world you were in. Or you went into space, in which case you just fucking die. Never go to space in a Nasu setting.

"Hey, look on the bright side! Did you know Voldemort's a notorious Legilimens? According to a History of Magic, he sometimes showed his victims fake nightmares of their loved ones dying!"
"...what"
"That's right! Fake nightmares! Nightmares that are fake! Boy oh boy, I'd hate to have some sort of prolonged mystic contact with that guy! If he REALLY hated me and got inside my head for some reason I'd be doubly suspicious about any dreams about specific family captured by him, you know, the guy who's all about using fear for fun and profit?"

Uniquely, however, Britain still retains some of the gods' Mystery due to being the "navel of the Earth" that connects the World to the Reverse Side of the World.

I stopped the plot HARD in the fourth book.
Won the Triwizard Tournament in a record time, got teleported, and then proceeded to go full "Jumper Has Run Out Of Fucks" on all the Death Eaters at the dropoff point.
When some tournament officials finally found me, they asked why the house there was a burning husk, or why the terrain was all warped and odd looking, why is everything so messed up what the hell happened here?
I told them it was like that when I got there.
After that, I feigned being scared, and I took a picture with Fudge for the paper (he took the credit for finding me), and the remaining Death Eaters all sat on their hands and waited for further orders BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT I TOLD THEM TO DO.

>>48018154 is mostly correct, most Divine Spirits are their own thing, being a sort of immune system farted out by Gaia to oversee humans and prevent them from running rampant. They were also, apparently, pants-on-head retarded because despite having reality-warping powers (HSDW was a GIFT from the greek ones!) they eventually withered away and died out.
However, apparently in the GO continuity at least it used to be possible for a human to reach the level of a Divine Spirit-Scathatch did this by literally being so badass nobody could kill her, and eventually became a Divine Spirit. Something similar happened in Extra too, where Caster is a tiny, tiny fragment of the Divine Spirit Amaterasu incarnated in a form just "human" enough to count as a Servant.
>>48018061
See >>48018084.

It would be more accurate to say Types have a different concept of "dying" to anything that comes from another planet, and that it would technically be possible to kill them with material from their native world, and preferably wielded by another inhabitent of that world.
But as Ado Edem proved, you can also just smash them really, really hard although they'll probably respawn. And Type-Moon's version of dark matter can't /technically/ kill them, but it can render them into an inert state where they can't actively try to kill everything long enough for them to relate to humans and decide they're alright.
>>48018339
That depends on just how far Nullification works.
Stopping spells within line of sight? Yes. Remove enchantments from objects and places? Yes.
But can it disrupt the link between a horcrux and its owner? Can it disrupt a spell in motion, or one that hits me? Can it disrupt spell effects from potions, for instance felix felicis? Can it force a metamorphmagus to fall back on her default shape so I can hit on her and get her to not need to put up with a deadbeat werewolf? Can it snap Trelawney out of a trance while she rattles off a true prophecy?
These are the things I need to know!!

That's why Moody/Crouch used Imperius on Krum and had him attack the others.
It's also why Harry's path was suspiciously clear of monsters.

The real reason is that the moon is basically still within Gaia's Grand Reality Marble.
>>48018385
Wait, so Types can't die, but Gaia died?
>>48018426
What about the other space probes? Or the Mars Rovers?
>>48018431
Gaia's literally terminally retarded.
>>48018356
What the fuck does gil know about anything though? Why would you assume he's an authority on these matters?
>>48018444
Gaia fucking with humans.
>>48018390
This is the Nasuverse.
What the fuck do you think?
>>48018426
Could a jumper with sufficiently bullshit perks make their own world in their reality marble?
>>48018431
I think it's because she's infested with humans. So, logically, the way to kill a Type is to take a big* bag of them and shake them out, then wait for the planet to give up and die.
>>48017629
I believe Pacific Rim can hook you up with the proper skills.
>>48018367
To be fair, Voldemort's snek was also hanging around, presumably to gank anyone actually competant from behind.
Really, the dumb part was the allegedly benevolent and kind Dumbledore deciding to run absurdly dangerous death challenges in his own school.
>>48018327
I was going to say because she's a petty, naive child but to be fair none of the TYPEs seem very bright. Venus' reincarnation looks like a little girl and came to enjoy the beings she was supposed to kill and Crimson Moon somehow lost to a human with True Magic despite having eyes that could crush reality.
I suspect they have the same problem as HP wizards, but on a bigger scale. When you're a reality warper who can trump almost any other reality warper in the Nasuverse you tend not to develop critical thinking skills, because you almost never need them.
>>48018431
Types can die, they just can't be killed on the same terms as you could kill human. They function according to different rules, and can only be killed within the context of those rules, where as they can kill us according to their own context of how killing things work, because fuck us, humans are garbage.
>>48018491
dumbles is either malevolent or moronic(or both). After all, he's in it for 'the greater good'
Magical ability in Harry Potter is genetic right? I was brainstorming ways to get through the "Statute Scrapped" scenario and was wondering if I could just slot the wizarding gene into a virus and spread it to everyone on the planet.
>>48018481
So life is like weed killer to planets?

Someone's been reading fanfics.
>>48018519
Probably closer to a swarm of insects.
>>48018458
nah
>>48018519
I think that would totally work.
HP magic is just a gene. A magic gene, but a gene nonetheless.
You might want to get a few jumps worth of genetic engineering under your belt first, because it plays hide and seek like motherfucker.
>>48018496
Humans are so garbage that it's their superpower. In Notes Ado "Gilgamesh gets penis envy when he sees my Knight Liner" Edem literally whacks a Type to death using a bullshit sword that has an effect similar to Ea, but which involves depleting the dead planet's mass in order to do the whole reality-cleaving "show the Truth" bullshit, which has the effect of creating a blue sky in its' wake instead of the primordial magma while the blade grows big enough to whack what's basically a superheated cloud of gas surrounding a miniature star.
Before you ask, Ado's from Notes and he's a Knight Liner-a special caste of posthuman being who has Ether (what used to be the planet's life force) bound within his body, and partly used to fuel a bullshit blade that makes him a one-man weapon of mass destruction.
He's considered the strongest Knight Liner around, and was actually sealed away because of his absurd powerlevel.
>>48018458
I'd be surprised if you couldn't.
What attribute/aspect would you take in Lord of Light to become a rip off Sam? Also would Demigods get the same benefit as gods from the energy being perk?
>>48017796
I found it amusing to add "in bed" to all of those. Including your reply.
So, assuming as a high level jumper who doesn't want none of this stupid magecraft bullshit or to play by Gaia's or any other Celestial Body's rules, if I want the real shit, that good conceptual shit, I should fuck off into outer space, gather up a shit tonne of that Grain shit, then make my own fucking planet and GRM?
>>48018575
Watch out for dark matter, because that fucks up grain based stuff super hard, to the point that grabbing the gun made of the stuff is mandatory for any jumper that wants to fuck around in the nasuverse with the big dogs.
>>48018575
...maybe? As others have said nasu is confusing and for all I know this plan has a hole a mile wide, but you have this anon's approval so shine on you crazy diamond.

Hm. Have you been to Star Wars yet? Would you hit the Death Star or miss it?
Question for those who've taken Fire Ant! - Earth in Sim-Ants. What did you put together / figure out were the biological benefits of consuming-
-Claudia? (ore from Lost Exile)
-Dreamstone? (Chrono Trigger)
-Magicite? (FF6)
-Materia? (I forget how many of the FF's)
-Unicornium? (Robot Unicorn Attack)
-Starmetal? (Order of the Stick)
-Mu Metal? (Guardians of Ga'Hoole)
-Gravistone, Halmolium, Sunlite? (Atelier Arland)
-Sunstone? (Dinotopia)
-Songstone? (Ar Tonelico)
-any of the elemental stones from Familiar of Zero?
And for those jumpmakers present - any input on the above as well?
So would Imagine Breaker cause Gaia's Reality Marble to erode near it?

I can't decide, dice do my work for me. 1-25 Harry Potter King Arthur, 26-50 Dresden King Arthur 51-75 Nasuverse King Arthur 76-100 Gargoyles King Arthur

It would basically turn the space around it into a Land of Steel.

>>48018556
Well he might not have actually killed it. Jupiter exploded and vaporized a continent, but I don't think it was confirmed dead.
>>48018665
IB is not so much supernatural negation as it is mundane reality enforcement, it would probably make the laws of physics more stable.
>>48018575
Well, the first problem is that there's basically no information about how planets are even made.
The second problem is that there's basically no information about how GRMs operate, except that planets generate them.
So uh. You're...technically correct, but you're basically like a rocket scientist who's going skydiving in outer space with nothing but a tank of rocket fuel, and hoping you can somehow build it into a rocket. Types/planets are, frankly, a bit like Great Old Ones in how weird they are.
It would be more prudent, in my opinion, to become a closed system surpassing the planet instead if you don't want to "play by Gaia's rules" since that's actually been achieved several times. Heck, even Magecraft performed by someone with a century of focus on it was capable of temporarily obscuring an apartment from the Counter Force for a while.
>>48018665
...interesting question.
I suppose that would depend on whether it considers Gaia's GRM to be the "baseline" reality, or just another alien Phase, considering that her GRM is what most people think of as conventional physics. If it's the former, it wouldn't.
If it's the latter, you're in trouble. Try not to touch anything important or you might well summon a Counter Guardian.
Here's the real question, /jc/!

Teleported, then torched most of the surrounding landscape so it looked like Nyarly puked up his seventh colon after a bender. Then told Wormy to get the other Death Eaters cuz THERE'S GONNA BE SOME CHANGES 'ROUND HERE.
Harry Potter keeps getting slotted later and later, so, it was probably pretty stupid. Really pushing the limits of the self-imposed masquerade.
It's probably got a slot before Naruto and Civ, but it's after a lot of stuff like Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, Overlord LN, all the Final Fantasies, and more. Just really, really stupid levels of overkill.
Probably after Sburb, too, actually. Which I guess means I could have used my Thief of Light powers to mindjack Voldemort's... everything? Is that how that works?
... huh.

I just assume that I can figure out how to make the things given a few years of time, and sufficient(read, infinite) resources.
I have separate spaces to experiment with in the form of Demiplanes and Mystcraft worlds, and can probably replicate grain with Equivalent Exchange. I've got all kinds of other shit working in my favor for this too, so I'm counting 'likely' that I could figure it out.

>Not fixing her except for cat-ears and a tail

>>48018936
To be fair, the Polyjuice makes her more of a 40% instead of a 10%.
>>48018849
To give an example of how weird TYPES are, they /naturally/ support metaphysical regions which are easily as good as, or better, than Demiplanes and Mystcraft worlds. Remember Avalon from the Fate ending in Stay Night? There are implied to be other similar to it, given the wealth of mythological heroes in Type-Moon. At full power, Arcuied is apparently capable of rewiring probability, creating her own subdimensions (I might be misunderstanding this part though) and flinging around simulacrae of the moon.
What I'm trying to get at is there's not enough information on whether anything else goes into a TYPE other than Ether; they're certainly made up from it if Notes still holds true but at the same time each is an independant conflux of metaphysics.
>>48018830
I...don't know? His everything is kinda spread out because of his weird soul bullshit. I would have thought anything related to Doom would more directly affect Voldemort though.
>>48018952
>the Polyjuice makes her more of a 40%
Bullshit, the potion turned her 60-70%, cat snout and everything.
>>48018900
It says temporarily, so I guess you'd just have to use enough power that the interruption lasts longer than the potion would have?
>>48018900
short: alchemy isn't magic. it's alchemy. so, no.
nullification is spells and enchants only, that's how i'm reading it. Now, if it was something like a blank aura, then it'd be up in the air. But technically alchemy isn't magic, it's science with extremely exotic reagents.
>>48018997
Alchemy/potion making in harry potter is specifically a kind of magic. You need to stir it with your wand to imbue it with magic and the ingredients themselves are called magical.
>>48018979
Look I forgot the fucking scale alright.
I was trying to say that she pretty much became a walking cat instead of a cat-girl.
>>48018997
I call bullshit on HP alchemy not being magic. Polyjuice potions give no fucks to conservation of mass, just for starters.
>>48018972
Ether and Grain are two separate things aren't they?
I'm also counting on being able to rely on Evo's Invasive Species and self dissection to figure out how that shit works, so I'll have a pretty big sample size using myself.
How do you late-game jumpers stay entertained in low-power settings where you can solve most any problem with relative ease?

Yeah, that soul bullshit is weird. I mean, he's got a brain...? But who knows how Harry Potter metaphysics work? And who knows how much he's fucked things up with all his redundant backups?
It's somewhat hard to tell how he'll react on a metaphysical level to anything that isn't "burn it all to the ground".
Goddamnit Voldy why you gotta suck so bad.
>>48019059
A lot of time I just treat it like a vacation. Sometimes I follow along behind the protagonists helping in indirect ways, like cooking, or giving them gadgets.
In Harry Potter I stepped on the plot and then just spent the rest of the jump loafing around in school.
I usually don't take center stage, to be honest. I am not the protagonist, nor do I wish to be.
>>48019059
Science, of course! Specifically, by comparing samples of the space-time continuum and other fundamental forces from different worlds-"mundane" or otherwise-in order to try and decipher whether some unifying factor is what enables transition between them.
Unfortunately the cinnamon toast crunch research has hit a dead end ever since I flipped out from looking too hard at the swirls and spilled the cereal all over the Warehoue. And ever since then, Elodie has banned me from buying more because I'm "overthinking it" and have been "suffering hallucinations" because I've been "working too hard" when I've clearly just reacted accordingly to catching a glimpse of reality's secrets.

Do random horrible things to the protag for fun.
1. Bop protag on head while no one is looking
2. Drag them to underground base filled with life support pods made with bio-engineering perks.
3. Remove their brain, shapeshift into a copy of their body, and then place their brain into your body.
4. go back to where you knocked them out, wake their brain up, and give them control.
5. Congrats! You're now the protag.
6. As plot progresses send their brain danger signals at appropriate times and make them think they Esp.
7. Eventually take direct control during opportune moments. Feel their confusion.
8. Start whispering directly into their brain. Feel them freak out.
9. Once they start planning to get rid of the voice in their head take control again and walk them to the underground base.
10. Feel their panic break when they see their brainless body with the top part of the skull removed as you explain what you did.
11. Show them the other empty pods, and tell them their friends are next.
12. Feel their sanity start to slip as they realize they're just a passenger with no control, and they have to experience everything like they were doing it them self.
13. Break them utterly, and then return them to their original body before you leave to make them live their life with everyone left thinking them as a monster.

>>48018656
While I didn't choose Fire Ant, this does bring up some scary stuff you could do.
Seeing as a large amount of those materials are inherently magic, or generate magic, I'll suggest you absorb some Uru from marvel, the same metal that made Thors hammer which also acts as an effective magic sponge, great for enchanting with your other magic systems.
I'll also recommend Fold Quartz from Macross, because then you have this crazy FTL communication system and can travel through wormholes naturally. Though my Macross knowledge is very low, so I don't know if it can just allow you to speak or communicate with those who aren't connected to your network or something.
>>48019607
Yeah, was debating on Fold Quartz, but I'd need to be able to stab it into other people to properly set up a network.
Although personal-speed wormhole travel sounds like a boon.
