What is the best way to make Genestealer Cult armies? I was thinking of an Imp Guard army that focuses on tanks, then take the Broodlord's Hunting Pack a few times for lots of genestealers. If that needs more point capturing I was thinking of running Skytyrant Swarm a few times for flyrant spam and gargoyles to jump on points.

Dark Imperium ending : Abaddon casts down the Emperor and takes his place as the Dark Emperor. He denies the Chaos Gods victory and builds his Dark Imperium from the ashes of the old Imperium. The Age of Darkness and Tyranny begins.

Daemon Imperium : The Emperor is destroyed and Abaddon's treachery is punished. All humanity is transformed into living warp portals that vomit the warp in the galaxy. All Time, space, and life are destroyed. Only Chaos and the laughter of thirsting gods remain.

The Prodigal Son : Be'lakor possesses Abaddon and steals his victory at the last moment. He uses the power of an entire galaxy sacrificed to ascend himself to godhood. He challenges the Chaos Gods and one by one he casts them from their thrones. Be'lakor would stand alone as the One True God of Chaos/Warp. The multiverse will tremble as the Shadow God begins preparation for his next masterplan.

Ending C is best ending

I personally think Gork and Mork are actually the Old One scientists who made the Krork, and have been altered by Ork belief to fit their own world view.

That being said, my brother and I have argued about whether Khorne was originally made by the Krork's violence. The four original species fit the four gods pretty well, Nurgle for Necrons, Tzentch for Old Ones, Slaneesh for Eldar and Khorne for Orks.

>At the end of the 41st Millennium, it isn’t just the Imperium in turmoil. The Eldar race is on the brink of destruction, prompting alliances between them and their dark kin to ensure survival. The Tau Empire, so keen on conquest, finds itself assailed by Orks and Tyranids while simultaneously waging war against the Imperium. But what of the Necrons? While other races fight for survival, they remain suspiciously quiet. For now…

-From ''A Galaxy in Flames'' WD article by Matt Ward)

In the 40K End Times, the Necrons (all of them) have gone silent as the grave.

Necrons conformed to have no End Game.

Anyone have some suggestions for some non OOP GW models that would fit these rules?

For some perspective the official models were basically face huggers with webbing between the legs. I was thinking bats but none they sell fit on 28mm bases or look good.
>>
I'm just getting into warhammer 40k and I've read up on the Tau codex so I know I can only field 1 Iridium Suit in an Army, but could I use the chest model for multiple suits because it looks cool anyways?

Would people complain about this even if I make it very clear that the suits are not using the Iridium, but I have them like that because it looks cooler?

My plan would be for multiple XV8's with the heavier looking armor

>Dark Eldar

Positive Ends
CWE all die creating ynnead, harlequins team up with cegorach to fight alongside ynnead + DE to kill slaanesh.
Without slaanesh all dead Eldar souls consumed by slaanesh are able to reincarnate.

Neutral Ends
Anything that doesn't destroy real space for example abbadon creating dark imperium which wouldn't affect DE in any meaningful way.

Negative Ends
Anything that means no more slave raids for example Chaos Gods win, or Necron win.
Khaine's gate is breached letting slaanesh inside a major webway artery, and it isn't closed in time to stop the rappening.
Lady Malys is so angsty at Vect that she destroys all of Commoragh to get to him.

On a potentially good note Vect is teaming up with Urien to create a doomsday bunker where DE could survive these apocalypses, and of course he has placed all his rivals in positions to be the first to die when the apocalypses start.

I also think it might be difficult to get a large number of those, but using them for a more elite small team is more feasible.

Off the top of my head, Necrons (due to earlier leaks using their flyers as examples of attack craft) just lost their only anti-air unit. Probably won't be the only army hit.

flyers are hard to kill but ineffectual for their point cost. The Bomber class and dogfight phase allow them greater impact on the game on the ground but also make them easier to counter.

TL;DR You are probably gonna need to buy a flyer, sorry about that
>>
>>46936048
This isn't a bad thing per-say, it just means that bombers and strafing run planes can't shoot down other planes and "maybe" that fighter planes can only fire at other planes.

>Tl;dr Things on the ground with skyfire prob will keep skyfire
>>
>>46936048

So, everybody will get their own interceptor? What about fighter-bombers?
>>
>>46936048
That seems like a really dumb change. What's the point of the fucking gunner grots on the Ork bombers? They're modelled in a similar way to actual planes, and those sorts of turret mounted guns were only for killing enemy planes and defending the bomber!

Hell, the Sunshark is a Bomber, and it has a pair of Interceptor drones also specifically designed to attack enemy flyers with Skyfire.

Whose idea was this? This is terrible. Now not only are dedicated Fighters better at taking out enemy air units, but Bombers and Attack Flyers can hardly defend themselves at all.
>>
>>46935928
ey thanks for the links, but I was thinking more little beasties rather than full sized models to represent the toughness 2 better.

The Warp Runners fought throughout the Great Crusade and still retain a number of Titans blessed by the Emperor of Mankind himself. Later, the Legion fought throughout the darkest days of the Horus Heresy, and participated in numerous engagements including the Battle of Tallarn. Legend has it that a battlegroup of Legio Astorum Titans was present at the defence of the Emperor's Palace during the Battle of Terra and ever since those dark days of the Great Betrayal, the Warp Runners have continued to faithfully serve the Emperor and His Imperium.
>>
Jesus Christ, the only reason I even take flyers is to get access to Skyfire on units that don't have to snap fire at ground targets.
>>
>>46936151
Maybe, except on the leaks we already have it was listed as an example of the new Bomber Category.

If anything it got off lucky though, since it's two Interceptor drones can still fight flyers for it.

It still makes the rest of its wargear dumb though. No reason to take missiles to defend itself or use the networked markerlight to aim at enemy flyers.

It just feels really off when a Flyer that has guns that are clearly designed for taking on other air units can't use them at all.
>>
Man, my Scythes just got ruined. Welp, I am off to sell my Necrons...

>>
Welp, guess flyers just got added to the list with Psykers of units too much of a complicating nuisance to bother ever using.
>>

>we won't get new flier
Fuck you GW.
>>
>>46936235
Probably. Crimson Hunters are definitely Fighters, which means there's a lot less enemy aircraft to threaten them now.

The Wraith flyer is probably going to be listed as an Attack Flyer, since it's better for blowing up ground vehicles, but this doesn't affect it at all since it already had Blasts and couldn't shoot flyers anyway.

Maybe it might nerf some of the Forgeworld Bombers, but I don't know their loadout well
>>
>>46936048

Meh, almost no one used fighters in our store anyway.
>>
>>46936249
Hope is the first step on the road of disappointment brother.
>>
>>46936242
They didn't list it, but it's either going to be a Fighter (because it's in the name) or a Attack Flyer, because it's good at attacking ground targets, but isn't quite a bomber.

I think they'll go with what it's intended role is though and make it a Fighter in order to further differentiate it from the Sunshark, because currently both of them are very similar in function.
>>
>>46936210

Is there a pic of the list?
>>
>>46936272

>>
>>46936304
Here >>46925553

There were a couple other leaks in the previous thread as well, but we got a handful of examples of each type of unit in each category.

Sunshark was specifically called out as a Bomber.

I'm now worried what this means for Guard though, as I don't think they have any dedicated fighter craft.

>>
>>46936380
Well they might as well have let them keep it then, since any Bomber is going to have it's bombs and whatever defenses it has. The bombs can't be skyfired anyway, so why remove skyfire and then just add it back to all of the guns?
>>

So if its dead points then the opponents have no flyers and you dont need to bring any to begin with.
>>
>>46936410
Well, according to the other leaks, with the new dogfight phase, you run a good chance of all of your bombers getting shot down before they even get on the table if the enemy brings a lot of fighters.

>>46936092
In other words, fighters will become as useless as vast majority of AA units, because they're only good for one thing.

I love it. The fact that they now make most of their flyers non-fighters lets them sell you a whole new line of flyers for fighter duty. Homie don't play that. I'd rather take that Hydra unit than buy a new flyer or two.
>>
>>46936421

Which makes games against that 1 in 10 guy with flyers a pain in the ass, and gives you codex entries that usually won't contribute to the game if taken.

Hooray for great game design.

Yep. It makes Fighters on par with ground-based anti-air in most cases, and worse in others.

The only real benefit is shooting down enemy flyers before they come on during dogfighting, but really, if you're going to sink a bunch of points into fighters just to kill all the enemy bombers before putting them on the table, you might as well just agree with your opponent to go down 500 points and not bring any.
>>
>>46936462

I just feel bad for Ork players, who bought dakkajets. That flyboss ain't gonna make his BS any better vs. ground targets. Enjoy your BS1 dakka. Also people who bought xiphons, which are likely gonna be fighters. I lucked out by picking a Lightning for my Legion. I might have lost one AA unit since it can't multi-role anymore, but a compliment of penetrator missiles into a flare shielded spartan will make up for it.

I wonder if there's any chance of one of flyers that does get to be a fighter having blast or template weapons. That'd be hilarious.

It may be that the Grot gunners get skyfire. Defensive guns may be an exception.

Space Marine bomber when? FW, GW, anything. All I want is a flyer available to a Marine army with bombs.
>>
>>46936629

We have one decent flyer and if this >>46936628
is true, then they just took that away.

This isn't kicking someone when they're down. This is pile-driving the victim of a car-accident.
>>
>>46936565

They better buff the bombs from the Sunshark Bomber after that. Also, what's the role of the markerlights now?
>>
>>46936642
Then why bother?

The Ork bombers have the Big shoota on the grot gun, which is clearly anti-air, and the Super-shoota, which is the same gun that a Dakkajet gets, and is mounted on the front. They're both designed for taking out enemy planes, and the bombs don't care about skyfire anyway.

The only defensive guns a Sunshark has is a Missile pod. Outside of that it has the pulse-bombs, which don't care about it, and a Networked markerlight, which has no business being networked if the only thing it's boosting is the Skyfire Missile Pod.

Fighters having Skyfire is obvious.

Attack Flyers are listed as an midway option between Fighters and Bombers, so they should have it as well for any guns that can take advantage. Rely on Blasts and Strafing run to encourage hitting Ground targets.

Bombers are designed to attack ground targets, but tend to have a handful of token anti-air guns on them. Now they can't even do that.

Nothing about this change makes sense.
>>
>>46936687
Markerlighting ground targets for other units? Do they have strafing run? That could help multiply markerlights from other units like pathfinders since its would be BS4. Not great though. Sorry, don't play tau so I can only really speculate there.

so I've been looking at Angels of Death supplement and specifically at the sternhammer detachment for IF... now it says it can be used by "each of their successors" but somehow, I doubt this extends to Black Templar, who have their own chapter tactics. Crimson fists, while they have a unique character, explicitly use IF chapter tactics, so they can use it... but is there something that settles the case explicitly for BT in either direction?
>>
>>46936723
They don't have Strafing run. The Networked markerlight used to be useful for being a Skyfire Markerlight, and could be used by the bomber on its own to fire it's Missiles at enemy planes more easily.

It just doesn't

I bought my first pack of Warhammer units yesterday in lord knows how many years. I sold all my old Space Marines to a friend, and yesterday got myself one pack of Dark Eldar Kabalite Warriors.

What do? I want to make my Deldar army somewhat unique, colour scheme and appearance wise. Any recommendations for mix-n-matching as well as colours?
>>
>>46936732
Might as well just take a Skyray then, since it can actually have a Skyfire Markerlight and fire the Seeker missiles at flyers.
>>
>>46936779

What if ongoing reserves allows you to reload the missiles?
>>
>>46936745
If the requirement is Chapter Tactics (Imperial Fists) then the BT cannot use it, as they have their own tactics.

>>

Sell deldar

>>
>>46936791
Then you're still better off taking a Sky Ray, because it can still fire those missiles at the ground, gets 6, and is cheaper as a baseline.

There was already very little reason to take a Sunshark except for having a neat little flyer that did some cool unique things. Now it just makes no sense fluff-wise or rules-wise, and any good reasons to take it are basically gone.

I'm sorry for harping on Tau, but the Sunshark is the Flyer I'm most familiar with, and what I'm saying about it probably applies to plenty of other Flyers as well with this change. Flyers that I'm sure other armies are actually relying on for their current air power, rather than being a gimmick in a Tau list.

This change is Bad.
>>

What SuperHeavy is so overpowered it ruins the game when there is more then one? Which SuperHeavy? The things that take so-many penalties for existing. >>Marines, Tau, and Eldar can't use their bullshit formations

2 of the 3 bullshit marine builds were CADs.

Tau still have strong CAD.

Eldar never used formations as CAD was simply better.

It's a good start though, formations are garbage. They either see no play or are broken overpowered pieces of shit. Same with psychic powers and superheavies. Practically anything that sees competitive play, mostly.

A massed infantry tau list with greatcoats and hoses on all the helmets would be awesome, maybe some different helmets altogether for a more WWI trench warfare kind of look.

Nigger, actually bring one out. Try out the rules. They have very little over regular knights. They are just overly specialized

>>
Make super-heavies regular vehicles with the exceptions that they have PotMS and can ignore the Ordnance rule of reducing other weapons to snap fire. Maybe rework vehicle rules to drop the auto-destruction of rolling a 6 on the table and make it like D3 hull points.
>>

Just talked to the guy in the GW store about the new flyers and he mentioned that the various aircraft would be classified like this:

>Fighter
Stormhawk Interceptor
Crimson Hunter
Dakkajet
Nephelim
Razorwing

>Attack Plane
Stormraven
Stormtalon
Stormwolf
Valkyrie
Vendetta
Heldrake
Wazbom Blastajet
Nightscythe

>Bomber
Hemlock Wraith
Voidraven
Burna-Bomma
Sunshark
Doomscythe
Dark Talon
Blitza-Bomma

He didn't know about the Stormfang and the Razorshark.
Redshirt info, so might also be utter bullshit.

Faction Army Point Modifiers:

Every 1,000 points factions get 100 'free' points to spend on something to represent their unique methods to wage war:

>Imperial Armies get a flat 100 points for anything to represent the sheer amount of forgeworlds and resrouces it dumps into military strength
>Tau get 100 points for upgrades and other 'tech' to show their tech prowess
>nids get 100 points to add to swarmy units like 'gaunts, rippers and/or bio-upgrades to represent their adaptation and swarm theme.
>Eldar get nothing because they're a dying race and already put 100% effort and resources to fight in a skirmish.
>Orks get 100 to spend on adding more bodies to any unit.
>Necrons get 100 for adding more bodies.

Lets be real, Eldar are the best at everything in the game. They are a dying race with limited resources and fighting capability but it isn't represented in-game. So it's always a 'fair'(points equivalent) fight with a race superior in every aspect. So it's not really a fair fight after all.

Thoughts? Alterations?

It's rather demoralizing how we keep getting fucked over. Chaos might be in the doldrums with us but damnit if GW doesn't keep on finding ways to drag us down even further.

>2014. 7th edition codex hits. Nerfs to many units across the board, others outright removed.
>2014: Ghazghkull supplement hits. Somehow manages to have worse army rules than the base Ork codex.
>2015: Forgeworld removes Imperial Armour 8 and states via email that the Dread Mob list is now considered unofficial.
>2016: The Ghazghkull supplement is updated, somehow becoming worse and removing one of its most viable formations for no reason
>2016: A new model for Orks is released, an overpriced bomber. At the same time, new rules force the one decent flyer Orks have to no longer have a ground-attack role

Hell maybe there's more in there, I can't quite remember, but I'm starting to think there's someone on the dev team who is actively out to get us.

>>
>>46938275
On a similar note, I've been thinking about footman wars -mode for 40k on the slow hours of work. Haven't tested or anything, just thrown out some ideas:

>You get 0.5 "Composition point" for each infantry troop unit in your army

>You can spend 1 composition point to get non-troop infantry unit

>You can spend 1 composition point to get non-infantry troop unit.

>You can use 2 comp points to get non-troop non-infantry unit.

>No special characters, no vehicles, no MC

>If your unit has optional squad leader upgrade, it's free (Veteran sarge, shas'ui, nob, exarch, etc)

>For each extra model above the minimum squad size you get 5p to spend on unit upgrades on that unit. Take 20 ork boyz? Get 50p of upgrades for it. 30 gaunts? 100p of biomorphs.

>You can use your normal point allowance on unit upgrades too, but you get free points for extra dudes.

Probably still needs some fine tuning on codex-per-codex basis but ideally players are poised to choose between taking many units to unlock non-troops/non-infantry or going with basic mooks with extra wargear. I also thought about including dedicated transports but that can easily bring wave serpents and land raiders on the table with even basic troops and can lead into pretty shitty scenarios.

Thoughts?

I'm making a narrative campaign this summers for my clients I own a gaming bar.
Tournament just ended and players are very negative against the balance right now.

We usually make a mini-tournament the summers, but this years I want to make something different because I know people will not participate.

So here's how is going to work.

>No point whatsoever
>You bring your own character. You are free to model as you want, you must give him a story and I'll make some rules for it. Can have unusual equipment and it will have some unique abilities.
>Game work with Slots and not points
>You start with 2 troops and 1 specialist
>You'll have an army list where it shows what can you have, what upgrades you can have etc
>Those slots are balanced without even looking at the point cost
>Units can get EXP. That allows them to buy extra upgrades
>Secondary missions can get you extra Equipment and rare weapons, which you can give to your units.
>Each mission is narrative driven, and will have secondary objectives that will give you rewards
>Players will have to RPG, as they have objectives in the campaign, but will have to make choices, both moral and strategic
Should i help the civilians or use them as a bait for tactical advantage
>This will impact what mission and what objectives and enemy you will face

Rules are already written, but are not in english.

People are getting really excited, I'm happy about it.

- stalker

That's not even a close call, that's just obvious.
>>

Cant you play that FW dreadnaught-list with those?

Okay, you cant use Orkanaughts really. Just convert them to be a bit taller and use them as Renegade Knights. I wouldnt mind at all.
>>
>>46938682
Eh, I'd be okay with that. The Dark Talon is better for ground attack anyway, especially now that its apparently a bomber, while the Nephelim has always screamed superiority fighter to me.
I mean, it's still overcosted and the fact that it's stuck with HBs is pretty embarrassing, but the missiles and the tl lascannon are very decent.
That said, since it has the Strafing Run usr I assume it will actually be a Attack Craft instead of a fighter. Otherwise that'd be pointless.

>>
>>46938690
Tau? I'm not him, but I remember the Turret was pretty good for Tau. Crisis Suits are always neat and 8 Marker Drones is pretty cool.

However, you then have to use that Ethereal which is +1BP to the opponent.

Lord can be made pretty sexy with Void Reaper or that +1S melee/range thing.
>>
>>46938960
How so? They're cool tanks, nice rules. Most people here will tell you to order from Capitalist China.
>>
>>46938984
This skyfire thing with fliers. I reckon rather than push people to buy Fighters, it'll push people further toward ground units that can do anti-air decently enough, while still being useful in the rest of the game as well. Sicaran's just one example of that, and is available to BA, CSM, etc. who look to be losing out on the flier front.
>>
>>46938838
Vulture isnt. Thunderbolt and Lighting surely are.
>>
>>46936565
Yeah, let's nerf the Heldrake some more!

Now it's going to be worse at killing other aircraft (after they already made it worse at killing infantry), while remaining the only genuine AA option that CSM have besides bottom-of-the-AA-barrel Flakk missiles!

170 points for a flyer with one gun and no transport capacity was already stretching the limit of usefulness in the runaway meta that 40k has, but this about tears it.

Man, those were a good six months back in 2012 between when the CSM and Tau codexes came out.

Here's my suggestions:

Drop the sonic blasters since you're clearly kitting these guys for CC and they are in rhinos. So you aren't going to shoot much.
Drop the raptors
Drop one of the sorcs in the cabal

Now take rapier squads for heavy support

Try to fit a void shield generator
Try to fit some spawn
>>
>>46939061
You surely as hell take Sicaran for "It can do anti-air well enough when needed". It can also do so much more and is pretty cheap when you factor in how shooty, fast and durable it is. Deredeo might shoot more effectively on the skies but it pays for the ability and doesnt move as much as the Sicaran.
>>
>>46939080
Deredeo is one of the best pieces in the SM arsenal.
That thing is a beast. The only downside is that you can't put in a Gladius or equivalent. But that's the same problem that the Sicaran has.

There is no really a contest in my opinion. Deredeo is just awesome all around.
>>
I was reading the 30th anniversary white dwarf mag few days ago and it did a run down on all the old armour designs and shit.

It then talked about the newest design, the 'Errant' VIII. It then says something in the 'Did you know?' part of it that goes "The Errant was designed thousands of years ago, but barely anybody has any... I wonder why that could be?"

Why is it? I can't think of any logic other than "Ad Mech are cunts".

>>
>>46939174
Yeah it's a supplement
You don't have to play with the rules unless your opponent is a cunt about it
>>
>>46939137
Doesn't the Deredeo get Skyfire + Interceptor if it stays still? Mortis is just configed to send out shit loads of shots, but not accurately?

Either way, it's the only option BA and GK have. They have Storm Raven, which isn't an airsuperiority fighter like the other factions unique ones, they don't have Storm Talon escorts and they don't have any dedicated AA bar Flakk Missiles. So BA rocking a Deredeo is pretty much needed if you want to take down those aircraft.

That still blows my mind. BA are the flying guys, the main flyers in the Imperium, and they only have a Storm Raven (plus the Forge World shit everybody else gets). Grey Knights are just as screwed. I hope both of them get a couple of unique flyers.
>>
>>46939174
Depend.

If you have a lot of them, you are getting a huge buff with the pattern.
If you have only one or two, you are getting nerfed.

I guess you'll have to buy a few more, not a big deal right?
>>
>>46939135
I thought MKVIII was modern armour made in m40? nobody has it cause the admech are too busy building knights and other kits that sell well.
>>
>>46939174

Once again, Blood Angels get fucking wrecked.

>+25pts to make a Flyer Ace
>Space Wolves get +1BS as one of the table options
>BA get 180o pivot instead

Fuck sake. I want the +1BS it makes more sense for the BA.
>>
>>46939192
Mortis is the original skyfire dread, basically a BS4 icarus or quad gun on a dread body so long as its still for like 105 or 110 points or something like that. Not great, but way more accessible to anyone who has a dread kit or can just swap the arms out.
>>
>>46939210
180 pivot alongside the new extra 90 degree thing would actually be really useful.
>>
>>46939210
Do you even play this game? Have you ever played a flyer that has Vector dancer? Thats a "only" 90° turn after movement and whole fuck thats a good ability. 180° would be ungodly good.
>>
>>46939279
>Enemy is tau
>Turn 270 degrees and fly away
>>
>>46939279
Knowing the rules, it'll have changed. Pointless anyway as Stormravens aren't anything special and are a huge chunk of points, no need to spend +25 more to get it.
>>
>>46939283
It's great if it was:

1. Guaranteed
2. On something different

That's even if I'm remembering the rule right, which I'm probably not AND it hasn't been changed.
>>
>>46939311
Well thats true. It the table is 2/3 utter garbage then 25pts for that is a bit meh. But Super Vector Dancer on a Fire Raptor is pretty good deal in my mind. You never have to fly off the table if you dont want to and you can always snipe those vehicle backsides and characters hiding in the rear ranks.

More importantly, what do you do if two armies have fliers but one doesn't have the book?
I suppose the intelligent answer is to share but suddenly following some new set of rules could throw people off.

And what about forge world fliers that don't have these new stats?

And what about flying monsters? Do fighters get this new fancy dog fight and pursuit phase while monsters just fly up and smack your flier on the ass D3 times as normal?
>>
>>46939842
I hope all FW flyers will get a update and FAST. That supplement will make all their flyers un-usable since they lack those three new stats.
>>
>>46939596

>Sunshark and Razorshak.

You two better get an update.
>>
>>46939049
Heldrake is going to get nerfed even further when we finally get updated. It made CSM good for a couple months, and that's just unacceptable. Baleflamer will probably go up in points, and it'll gain something "fun" and "fluffy" like "must Vector Strike any friendly units it flies over."
>>
>>46935200
You'd be right.
>>
What I think is gonna happen: Fighters will just murder other flyers in dogfighting, combat flyers will stay pretty much the same when it come to firepower and bombers will get better ways to bomb shit to oblivion.

Where are the rules for the Marine formatin with the 3 whirlwinds/vindicators of doom? You know, the one that makes me put my whole army back in the box, go home, and weep salt tears?
>>
>>46940022
Know one's going to use this supplement unless ITC incorporates it, in which case he most powerful fliers will become ubiquitous and the rest will disappear.
>>
>>46940032
Do you mean the bonuses for taking a squadron of three of them?
>3 whirlwinds: pinning and shred
>3 vindicators: can fire a single shot, with ignores cover and apocalyptic blast
>>
>>46940032
Did you try Codex: Adeptes Astartes™: Space Marines?

Okay. So it's not a formation - it's a model special rule.

Thanks Anon. You are a true gentleman and everybody likes you.

And that's why you're weak desu

You've been told already. They're squadron bonuses now.

Read. The damn. Codex.

Remember that time when we were about to sacrifice your Primarch to Slaanesh and you were saved by loyalists?

Good times, good times.

>4. Out of grenades? Don’t worry – a swift bayonet to the Knight’s vulnerable ankle joint will bring it crashing down. Whereupon you can deliver the Emperor’s justice to the crippled abomination.
>5. If Step 4 proves ineffective, you’ve failed to properly maintain your bayonet. You now have no choice but to throw yourself into the workings of the Knight’s feet. Together, there is no foe that the mass of humanity cannot overcome. Rest assured you will be remembered as a hero. Survivors of such an assault will be summarily punished for poor bayonet maintenance.

I love these.
>>
>>46936372
Well in any objective game you can just say "This objective and also that one over there are Skyfire nexus', fucking deal with it" "Also all your objectives are sabotage"
>>
>>46940321
I still don't get how the eldar thought they were going to smuggle the magic broach out of there. Stupid eldar.
>>
>>46940372
Yeah, Eldar are not very bright.

There is a reason why they are snacks for the Dark Prince.
>>
>>46939938
No, that's not how it works.

It'll get a Chaos-themed new random table.

After choosing your target in the shooting phase, roll a D3:
1-2 fires as a Baleflamer
3-4 fires as a Hades Autocannon
5-6 explodes, destroying the Heldrake and causing any other Chaos unit within 4D6" to explode with it.
>>
>>46940461
Now you're just being silly. The 5-6 result would be that its weapon counts as a powerfist, it works on all vector strikes made in the shooting phase.
>>
>>46940461
HAHAHAHAHA

I'm just picturing what that would look like in real life. A crazy, flaming, aerial, engulfed turkey explodes mid-air for no reason and everything around it, (potentially 24", thats a fuckhuge radius) also explodes for no rhyme or reason.

Guys what if.

WHAT IF

>Forgefiend gets skyfire somehow
>BS5 with that daemon formation
>Split fire on it's 2 cannons because why not

Oh the flier tears would be glorious
>>
>>46940499
>everything

>every Chaos units
FTFY
In my opinion is funnier that way. There are two astartes fighting each other when suddenly one of them explodes stealing it's righteous victory from the hands of the warrior of the Codex Astartes

Abaddon would most likely consider that a victory

>One of the best AA in the game in a world where a flyer supplement is being released.

Pretty good. Lacks a bit of options, being in the place between Ally-tier Codex and Stand-alone Codex. But very fun.

They USED to be Apocalypse formations. The ones you're looking for (Line Breaker Squadron, Suppression Force) were in War Zone Damnos, older versions of those formations existed in earlier publications too, but those are the latest.

About half of the actually good Apocalypse formations were made into normal 40k formations, or in this case, made straight-up into squadron bonuses.
>>
>>46940574
>>46940580
Is there something like a photoshop effect to change an image like that?
Because changing it manually would really require too much effort for any sane person
>>
>>46940610
You just move the hue slider.
>>
>>46940533
Crimson Slaughter get several ways of casting Presience, and Black Legion gets a way of making Forgefiends better generally. Since they're actually the same Faction now they can be combo'd to an extent. Still not that good, though.

>>46940610
>>46940624

Remember when Escalation was "just a supplement" and "super-heavies in my 40k?" Apocalypse only? It's a bit like that.

Honestly, GW, just fucking AoS this shit already so I can ignore it and keep the models I have and play older editions with people that prefer older editions.
