Ligue 2 campaign got off to a decent enough start. For how hastily put together this team is, they did incredibly well. A dago signing from Manchester City brought us back on his own and I couldn't be prouder.

My pet peeve is when your player accelerates towards a loose ball after a set piece, but an opposing players will get there first so he deaccelerates and lets the opponent walk unchallenged into a 1v1 with the keeper.

-the tempo you ask your players to play at is too high for their comfort so they sperg out
-you have too many players in static roles so they don't move enough and it's easy for the opposition to pick them off->the player in possession won't have viable options to pass to
-the distances between players are too long, results same as above
-your midfield's off the ball is shit so they don't know how to make themselves available
-also AFAIK the combo of retain possession and shorter passing makes the range in which the players look for pass very short, and if they don't see a pass within that range, they're likely to just hoof it. so with your instructions when they don't have anyone within 5 feet to pass to, they become bewildered

I always base my team's tictacs around the narrow 4-2-2-2.
