The basics:
Basically, scout everything that's not too old and with at least 3* potential. For regions where I can't recruit adult players (due to wages or reputation) like Central Europe, I outright only scout players under 18 with at least 4* potential. That's really it, you gotta scout, find affiliates in other countries to improve your scouting knowledge, find foreign staff members/scouts to further improve your scouting knowledge, so on so forth. Scouting is key.

Exactly. Major American sports are (first and foremost) businesses. For all involved parties. The industrialization of pro sports are no different than e.g. entertainment (movie, music etc.) sector.
I'd say traditional values (like loyalty) still matter in EU due the different cultural background (that puts less emphasis on being business-minded), but no doubt we're heading the same way too.
>>69248461
That's Hungarian. As Finnishbro (rightfully) stated at >>69248558, the Finno-Ugric theory is the most widely accepted about it's origin (often naming Finnish the closest to our language) but it's explanatory value is still pretty questionable.
Hence why linguists also have at least a dozen (major) alternative theories in the mix, including ones about the Turk, Sumerian, Etruscan and even Chinese or Japanese roots of Hungarian language. Either way, it's one of the hardest in the world.

>Real Madrid's members have voted to approve the club's plan to sell its city-centre training facilities in order to clear debts of £165m.
>In an extraordinary general meeting held on Sunday, 92% of those who voted supported the deal between the club, Madrid's city council and the regional government.
>Club president Florentino Perez said the deal, which is expected to generate about £206m, has assured the economic future of the club.
> According to the terms of the agreement, Real Madrid will retain the rights to a section of land which it will sell for office construction.
>The club will then be able to clear its debt and still have enough cash left over to build a completely new training facility on cheaper land on the edge of the city.
>The new training ground, which will also include a Real Madrid theme park and accommodation for young players, is expected to be completed for the start of the 2004 season.
Absolutely reeked of government bailing them out considering the fee paid allowed them to keep part of the land to resell, clear their debts and build a new training ground and theme park and accommodations. I'm sure it was some prime land so probably did warrant a slightly inflated price but realistically it was just the Spanish government saving Real.

But Real doesn't have a theme park.
The thing is, as I've read in the press the last few days, that the city council of Madrid wanted to give those terrains to Real (knowing how retarded and corrupt the ruling party was this does not surprise me) but finally they didn't cede them. The council got some dude to assess the value of the terrains and gave that money to Real in compensation, that they now have to repay.
The thing is that Real Madrid, Barcelona, Osasuna and Athletic have a different taxation regime than the rest of clubs (25% rather than 30%) because they refused to turn into a type of corporation (Sociedad Anónima Deportiva) that would mean that the club would stop being a property of the fans, and would have to turn to being like every other club in the world, having an owner. They will also receive a fine for this.
Public helping to football and other sport clubs are accepted here in Spain though, as some clubs would not survive without them, but nowadays they try to use other methods, as for example having the city's government and the region's government own half of a club between the two.
>>69252341

Barcelona and Real Madrid are way too big to go bankrupt. Remember when one of them got a huge bank loan from (IIRC) the Spanish National Bank? What was their coverage? Their income from the TV rights of the league for a few years. Should I continue?
Another extremely important difference (compared to other TOP15 clubs) is that they exist as an association rather than (e.g.) a joint stock company who's on stock exchange. Totally different cup of tea in terms of rules and finances. So yeah, it's all stray shots.

Yes but then they got cucked by the investor or something so it either isn't happening or is at least massively delayed.

Dunaújváros managed to won the 1st league in the late 90's and have a few great battles in UEFA competitions, but later went bankrupt despite their then-new stadium. Elevating them into their past glory sounds like fun.
Giving Gyirmót it's long-awaited promotion after spending long years in the shadow of their city rivals Győri ETO FC (whose owner got into a huge scandal last year and they went from a major force to a 3rd division side) is also an option.
Kaposvár was well-known for being the poorest in the 1st league, only being able to survive thanks to their hawk-eyed manager with great ability to player development. Hint: Nikolic Nemanja, the current top scorer of Ekstraklasa started from here.
Szeged is the country's 3rd biggest city without a 1st league team since 2000 (!) - somehow, efforts there to establish a worthy football club there has always failed. Nowadays, they trying to make it happen based on youth. You might give it a shot too.
ZTE is also a former champion from the early years of the 21th century, they even beat Manchester Utd in 2001 during the reign of Péter Bozsik, son of the legendary Magic Magyar József Bozsik. Maybe you could be the next one who bring the golden days back.

Don't think so. Real only removed the cross for some credit cards that some arab bank was going to make. Barça, however, had earlier removed the cross from their crest for all Barça merchandise in arab countries and they have never got shit for it.

It only ends when it gets disproven by him continuously performing in big games. As it is he rarely performs in big games so I would suggest that suits "Doesn't feel comfortable playing in big matches." pretty well
>>69253189
Fucking Arabs. So you're telling me that all Barca shirts sold there don't have the cross on?
>>69253219
Yep, it's been like that for like a decade now I think.
>that Norwegian strikes again
Holy...
>>69253189
>removing half the cross of st george
Might as well got the whole hog and replace it with a symbol of saladin

>In addition to the financial deficiencies, the project had come under criticism in international sports circles, as Real Madrid was required by Ras Al Khaimah to remove the Christian symbol of the little cross from the crown atop their logo on all the project's promotional materials to conform with Muslim beliefs.

nah it's this fictional honduran. Too good to not sign in the spl, prolly be able to sell him for a huge profit
They only give the negative personality types (unambitious, temperamental, slack etc.) to regens. I wonder if anyone's ever seen a really good player with slack or casual
>>69253261
If you haven't then you best leave you fucking normie.
>>69253258
not only that, the cross of st george is the flag and symbol of the city of Barcelona.
>>69253261
Well, you at least post in these threads every single day. I don't post here any more nor play this game but you're still here, and you were always there back then.

Between Dunaújváros and Szeged. I'm making a vote then. http://www.strawpoll.me/10667078

Really? I knew it was in Bologona and Milan

False, they removed from the crest in some arab countries
>Barça, however, had earlier removed the cross from their crest for all Barça merchandise in arab countries and they have never got shit for it.
False again, those are bootleg kits like the one in your pic
Don't lie again, gypsy

Good point.

My first FM was 12. Not exactly 10 years.
>>69253270
I'm glad they are not going to make it tbH, it was a crazy idea from a crazy man called Flo.
>>69253351
It was until Catalans changed it to pic related
>>69253370
There are no gypsies where I live. I had in mind that that is what Real and Barça had done but I might be wrong and right now I cant be arsed looking it up. Maybe someone in the thread will.
>>69253342
but /sp/ is barely 10 years old. I don't think anyone has posted here in /trb/ for 10 years.
>>69253278
Also I hate not running a lot of leagues because players like this just languish in free transfer hell for six months and it makes the game (even) easier
Guy came off a 7.57 average season in liga mx, I shouldn't have to run the league for them to renew his contract
>>69253400
>There are no gypsies where I live
Gran Canaria motherfucker.
Time for another generous helping of CM00/01 nostalgia.
Things to consider:
>Who the heck is Wilcox?
>Beckham in CM
>Scholes on the bench
>The state of English goalkeepers
>Does Semen still have a ponytail and porno stache'?
