Basically just don't give them a boring neutral answer (especially if they push you for an answer) but even then you've gotta put the team first so answer what is best for the team, building relationships with the press is not massively worthwhile, might give you a bit more job security and make you more widely liked and able to attract slightly better players and a few other very minor things but all of that is surpassed by simply building a team that succeeds so don't put any significant time or thought into the press, just answer what is best for the team or yourself.

10 games, meeting every team thrice, so 36 games, and a meme cup you start in the quarters or a round before with two legs except for the final. At least in the vanilla db. It's fairly tame compared to some other leagues: much less cup matches but 36 leagues matches.
The issue arises when you qualify for EL: matchdays are forced on Saturdays with no rescheduling possible. Most other leagues even in-game allow for rescheduling, they don't. Have "fun" playing on Thursdays and Saturdays all year long to try to become relevant.
The second thing is that the game isn't smart about scheduling: each season has a fixed start date and end date and the game will follow the db's scheduling program until it notices the end of the season is near, that you got gud (last stages of EL or CL plus cup and league) and will therefore try to cram every remaining matches in the same month (April/May usually). You can play games every two days or even every day very easily that way, even though there was countless space for those games to be played earlier in the season.
