The Celtics are trying to use this information to try and make it happen there, but that's far fetched because they don't have Westbrook and Adams. Adams is necessary because he's a defensive Center that can make up for Horford's defensive mistakes and allow him to play as a PF without worrying about rim protection.
Celtics have no competent Center and if Horford goes there he'll have to be the C.

The Lakers were essentially done even before Kobe signed the deal. His contract had little bearing on anything. Players were simply never going to come play for a team with Pau and a Kobe who couldn't stay healthy, anyway, regardless of how much money the Lakers had.
