For what? Producing slightly more offense per game? That would be it.
Meanwhile, certain interesting aspects of manager, bullpen, and bench strategy are murdered to make the DH possible. That's not worth it imo. The NL game is simply more fun to watch imo.
And if you want to talk about why managers never forfeit the DH rule, it's simply because it turns the game into easy mode. Their job is to win games, not to make things more fun to watch. No basketball coach would turn down a rule that said they could have six men on the court against another team with six players.
