The only reason there can be a conversation is because of how weak the East is. If it wasn't for the world seeing how bad the Habs are without vezina goaltending, no one would really push it as much. If Price never dropped out, they'd probably have had one of the 3 Atlantic spots on lock. The Bruins are on the decline, but the Sabres are on the rise. It's still incredibly unlikely they'll even come close, let alone be a fringe team in a year or two.
