the entire dynamic of the organization changes in that hypothetical, so it isn't easy to quantify. that team is predicated on karlsson. if you amend the question to if the team was built around doughty from the outset, then the answer is yes. everything points to a team with doughty anchoring its defense as being more succesful.

He played at a 1.7ppg pace down the stretch when he figured out that shooting the puck was a good idea. He will probably go top 10 because his fitness is shit and teams think he has a lot of room to grow despite playing strong in the second half of his season including the U18.
>Keller
He is pretty great but all short players tend to struggle getting drafted as high as their talent is, the same applies to Debrincat and Abramov. He may go top 10.
>Jost
He's more well rounded than anyone you listed and probably will be a good second liner but lacks the upside of Brown or Keller. He's a lot stronger than his height suggests, kind of like Crosby in that specific regard and going to UND will only help. During the U18 he had an injured hand from the BCHL playoffs so perhaps he could have done even better. I like him the most out of those listed, but I'd be surprised if he went ahead of Brown.

He's a smart player but the offense is very questionable. His shot is very weak and while his puckhandling and playmaking are good they fail to compensate. His offensive IQ is questionable because despite his speed he plays at only one gear. It wouldn't surprise me if he caps off as a 40 point middle 6 tweener with strong defense. There are some people who think he has more offense but he probably won't go top 10 and conceivably not top 15.
