People quickly forget that ITA tend to do well in tournaments and over-exaggerate the relative weakness of their squads. Same logic applies here as above to the strikers. It's the lack of world-class players in the attacking section is what's somewhat worrisome, plus the unfortunate absent of quality registas but that's it. I was absolutely not surprised they beat BEL, Conte is a guarantee that even (more or less) mediocre players will work extra hard to get a result. So I have nothing against lads like Pellé, but they won't be the decisive factor: ITA's success is tightly tied to the team instead of individuals.
