If you're going to water down the term "dynasty" that much, then no one is going to give a shit about it. A true dynasty isn't just a few fluke championships, its a team that is truly dominate throughout its entire run, including the regular season. A dynasty does not include a 74 win season, or have its peak at a measly 94.

Problem is, what about non-closers? Are relief roles so specialized that won't ever see a guy accumulate as much value as Goose or Eck, who both relieved and closed?
The only other non-Hall guy on the top 10 JAWS relievers list who is close to worthy is Tom Gordon, and that's a big stretch. He started, relieved, and closed during his career, but he's the last I remember other than Smoltz who did them all fairly well enough, and long enough, to merit mention in this debate.
