We'll have the draft tomorrow night at either 10 pm or 11 pm brit time. I guess you guys know how a draft works: Each of us gets to pick a player, one after another, until we all have a full squad. If you're there when the draft happens, you'll be able to choose the player you pick - if you don't then you'll just get the next player in line that is assigned to you (and it is set up in a way that you always get the most highly regarded player that is still undrafted). So really, you dont have to be there to have a competitive team, but of course everyone disagrees with the ranking of the players so it might happen that you'd prefer players that are not as high on the list.

Don't do this. Small clubs invest terribly. If they get a lot of money they will only buy players who are 3-4.5* CA for the team on horribly inflated wages for the division and go bankrupt again. You'd need to give them consistent care packages every year and hope they promote. Ask the bard for a feeder club and pick Bolton and send as many people as you can there of quality. Give them small financial boosts from time to time.

If you want to sign 16 year old regens to make them HG then you'll want other leagues. Also simulation of international games can be fucked up if you only load one league and teams from other countries will become shittier as you advance in the save. I always recommend at least the top 4 leagues of Europe. You can make them view-only if you are 100% certain that you only want to manage one club.

I was using a 10-tier england db for FM15 and created a new club in north-east London, in the editor I set the tier 9 regional division on that club's page to be one that was in Essex, but when I actually got promoted from tier 10 to tier 9, it shunted me over to a league much more western and not even close, around Bristol/Bath.
