Play modded career mode on modded fifa on PC. There's this mod made by a guy who has been studying biomechanics that basically changes the physics engine of the game (body contacts, balance when running or making a quick turn without the ball, the way pitch conditions and weather affect the way players move, ball physics), so everything looks way more realistic. CPU commits a lot more fouls, too many yellow cards maybe but i think a fix is on the way. He also modded the AI so your teammates make intelligent runs and they don't run away from their spot on defence, opponents make tactical fouls. When you play vs CPU you can tell the difference between playing against Barcelona or Scunthorpe. Shit teams play like shit teams and good teams play like good teams (and also according to their team tactics), pass error and shot error are suited to every team, so no more 2 star teams playing tiki taka football. No more 45/90 minute bullshit too. When you win a match you really feel like you deserved it, cause the game becomes kinda harder to master because it's very true to real life football.
With the right graphic mods (faces, hair, kits, boots, gloves, adboards, fan banners and tv scoreboards) a CPUvCPU game looks like the real thing.
Obviously this is offline PC only.
If you want to play online on consoles I suggest you learn to play with full manual controls, if not all of them at least through ball and long ball. It opens an infinite number of new passing lanes that you're not able to get with assisted controls (that way the ball goes wherever the CPU thinks you intended to pass it).

Why do I never get penalties? If I so much as run into a player, I know this is a foul, the other team gets a penalty. I constantly get grabbed, tackled, and just knocked off the ball, and rarely get penalties. I actually had one called for me yesterday, after I had already scored on a cross.

Yep. Same guy i think. I'm using this mod now which makes transfers more realistic. More CPU transfers in general. More offers from CPU for your players (even the less used ones). Prices are both stat based and performance based (so for example if a young striker scored 20 goals in a season, his price would go up from 5.000.000 to let's say 30.000.000). CPU teams will renew big contracts more often (2 years before expiry, like it happens 90% of the times in real life). Good players will retire when they're like 37-38 while average and bad players will retire sooner, but it still depends: if an average player is a one club player or has been captain for many years he will retire later. World class player tend to settle with one team, unless they (or their club) get offered a much higher and unrefusable amount of money or the random "i want to leave" event happens (it's was tweaked to be less frequent tho). Big clubs buy one or two star players a season + youngsters, while small clubs make several low money transfers (both buying and selling). CPU teams always field the best lineup possible, obviously when no injuries, suspensions and fatigue issues occur (sometimes CPU teams will play bad players instead of good players, no matter how you edit the roster to be as close as possible to real life, because maybe the good player is not listed for a certain position while the bad player is, so the game automatically thinks the bad player will fill that position better). The stamina recovery has been fixed, so players will become fit quicker after a blowout win at home than after a hard fought 1-1 draw away (this works very well together with the gameplay mod I talked about in my previous post which, I forgot to mention, fixes in game stamina too, so now you have to use the sprint button carefully or your players will be out of juice after 60 mins).

You can't use them online (I think the graphic ones would work but I'm not sure, I don't play online). The gameplay mod tool has a switch so you can turn the mod off when you want to play online, and back on for career mode.

I've been using TOTS Griezmann in a 4312 next to SIF Ben Yedder and SIF Ben Arfa. Oddly enough, Griezmann is being outshone by both of them. He can't finish for me for some reason but Ben Yedder finishes literally everything.
TOTS Griezmann is much better at cam than striker. Just played a game with him and he was a machine. TOTS Benzema had a hat-trick on his debut as well with Griez assisting him on every goal.
Hey, bros. I'm in need of some basic tips. Long time career mode player that decided to try getting into online play. Of course I'm getting absolutely shredded right now. It's frustrating as hell.
I've noticed that trying to methodically work the ball around with a focus on maintaining possession(like you would against the AI) just seems to set myself up to be countered. I normally always have more of the ball but rarely equal my opponent in creating chances. Is it best to just attack quickly with more high risk passing than trying to play it safe? Is this game mostly all about pressuring your opponent into a giveaway in the middle and countering?

You can play possession in FUT/Seasons, you just need to anticipate things faster. A lot of players play super intense double teaming pressure, so you can't just work it around the back/midfield like you would in CM. You need to combine dribbling with outlet passing to your wingers in order to really maintain possession.

Fake shot, shielding (LT on xbox), and LT+RT are your friend. Being able to anticipate and dribble out of problems becomes way more important online. The good news is if you can avoid pressure with dribbling super easy passing lanes open up because 90% of people overcommit with their defense and bring their CBs way out of position

Depends on whether or not you count all three of the most consistents squads as just one TOTS. They said they are doing 15 TOTS this year so they either have three left or one left. MLS doesn't technically count as a TOTS IIRC. I'm assuming they only have one left and that'll be Rest of the World, then they'll do the Best Of TOTS at the end.
