The only promising year there even was, was the 2012 season. The past 3 years were rebuilding. I'm 100% sure Hahn's intention was to provide a blueprint for now, even with the Melky/LaRoche signings in 2015.
Everyone knew 2013-15 were not going to be winning seasons. I didn't even know 2016 would be a winning season. I thought we'd contend in 2017 no less, it's just that things are starting to click and Cooper's making the most out of reclamation projects and that our pitching and defense is boosting us quite a bit.
Whether or not we win the AL Central or make the playoffs is a question mark, but this team's headed places. Hahn built a nice farm system and so far he hasn't really flunked on acquisitions save Melky/LaRoche.
