Don't confuse anti-abortion for a prohibition on abortion. I favour restrictions on abortion but for certain circumstances. I get confused talking to people not from Victoria on this because I tend to make the mistake of associating pro-abortion with abortion on demand. I think south australia and the NT have basically perfect abortion laws, and they don't experience the issues you're describing.
I don't like preaching about sexual responsibility, but the plain facts are that having sex is a risk accepting behaviour. If you create the risk that materialises in a burden to yourself, you should be willing to carry that burden except for in exceptional circumstances.
Life has future moral value. The future is the only thing that makes living valuable. Killing the most vulnerable members of the human species unquestionably undermines that.

(1) because murder is a common law offence, the test for common law requires that a person be killed, and a foetus is not a person

Look up a concept called bodily autonomy. It's when someone has complete right to their own body. Even when they're dead, you can't take their organs to save another's life. That's a human right. You can't save humans with a dead person's organs because that's their human right.
