Maybe bring in some hall of famers have them be coaches and then put the up and coming talent in the spotlight instead of trying to push sales through big name fights and big events that would be normal events if it wasn't for the show.
A title defense in wmma currently isn't worth a main event and having two athletes carry a card full of underdeveloped literal whos is horrible, have a good season where we see actual progression allow one maybe two losses for growth and keep a pressure on the new talent so that those who break mentally get cut and you'll have good talent with though mentalities.
What made the ufc what it is now is the success of that one fight of two tuf competitiors, I don't know why they wouldn't keep doing it.
Have hall of famers be the coaches/judges and stop trying to have fighters be reality tv actors and show us the actual problems and since the hall of famers and retired fighters don't have to care about their own fights they can push the talent.
