No it fucking isn't you delusional asshat

This kind of arbitrary justice has been used against many teams in the NFL and will continue to be used in the future. Your favorite player could very well be next, and if you think he has any chance of getting fair treatment after this, you are retarded

We are headed for another lockout in the near future, and it will be the worst of its kind, I guarantee it.

So remember this when we get there. Remember that you celebrated the humiliation of Tom Brady. He will retire, but the impact of this scandal and the NFL's brand of industrial justice will reverberate for years and years to come.

One of the most powerful judges in this country wrote a firm dissent against the verdict of his colleagues. It's obvious their loyalty was bought and paid for by the league. But it's not over yet, so don't start celebrating. Even in the worst case scenario, Tom Brady and the Patriots will be Superbowl contenders this year, next year, and the year after that.

We are just getting started
>>
>>67103578

I've already decided to stop following the NFL altogether once Tom Brady retires. He's the only thing worth watching in pro football at this point. Rodger Goodell has ruined the sport of football forever.

Greatest Quarterback of all Time
>>
>>67107306

From the decision: "Here, that authority was especially broad. The Commissioner was authorized to impose discipline for, among other things, “conduct detrimental to the integrity of, or public confidence, in the game of professional football.” In their collective bargaining agreement, the players and the League mutually decided many years ago that the Commissioner should investigate possible rule violations, should impose appropriate sanctions, and may preside at arbitrations challenging his discipline. Although this tripartite regime may appear somewhat unorthodox, it is the regime bargained for and agreed upon by the parties, which we can only presume they determined was mutually satisfactory. Given this substantial deference, we conclude that this case is not an exceptional one that warrants vacatur. Our review of the record yields the firm conclusion that the Commissioner properly exercised his broad discretion to resolve an intramural controversy between the League and a player. Accordingly, we REVERSE the judgment of the district court and REMAND with instructions to confirm the award."

Since you're clearly depriving a village of their much needed idiot... NFL agreed to it. Unorthodox as it may be, they agreed to it.

I don't agree with GODell in most instances. But to say he's abusing his power is a ludicrous statement.

http://operations.nfl.com/the-players/the-nfl-draft/the-rules-of-the-draft/

You have to apply for NFL eligibility if you're a rookie. In order to apply for NFL eligibility, you need to be at least 3 years removed from high school graduation. Per season, there is a deadline for players to apply for league eligibility. After the deadline, the draft process starts, and all players who applied and were granted eligibility to play in the NFL are part of the draft pool. There is no age limit, and there is no college requirement.

Moritz Boehringer for example is a German football player who applied for eligibility after 3 years in the German football league. Because he applied for eligibility for the first time this year, he will be part of the draft. After being declared eligible and he clears the draft, he would be a free agent. The same for any college player.
>>
Why are the people who think Brady cheated the most delusional idiot fanboys? Why do they think a fucking arbitrary rule about pressure should be met with the largest fine in NFL history, the forfeiture of a first round draft pick, and a four game suspension? This made the NFL look terrible, because they refused to acknowledge a loophole that existed where team personnel could gain access to the balls and reduce pressure (which go-daddy thinks is as bad as steroid use). Why isn't there an impartial crew used to ensure equipment from either team is being used fairly? The NFL got caught with its pants down, and yet the story was of some faggot deflating a ball for Brady. And how did these rumors start that Brady was asking for balls to be underinflated? Do any of you in this lynch mob know? Oh yeah, they were spread by jealous Colts and Ravens fans. The commissioner's job is to promote league parity to ensure stiff competition and more entertaining games. The Patriots defy the will of the NFL. Somehow they keep winning, and any excuse as to why is easily accepted. Back in ye olden times, the buzzword was 'witch', today it is 'cheating patriot'. Evidence and rules be damned, I want to hear how they cheated, because it confirms my beliefs!

You people are scum. Unintelligent and delusional scum.

So fucking what if he cheated? The refs, before every play, touch the fucking ball. It is up to them to enforce the rules to promote fair play. The refs and the league fucked up, but the Patriots and Brady have to pay for it. They allowed this to happen, and yet they catch literally no flak from idiotic fans like you. Guess what, dumbasses? You are the punchline. The NFL constantly patronizes you, and you are too fucking retarded to understand what is happening. Your politicians and friends do the same. So yes, I'm a bit mad my favorite team's quarterback is getting fucked over, but at least I'm not the punchline of a cosmic joke.

From the dissent (Chief Justice Katzmann):

>"The Commissioner failed to even consider a highly relevant alternative penalty and relied, instead, on an inapt analogy to the League’s steroid policy. This deficiency, especially when viewed in combination with the shifting rationale for Brady’s discipline, leaves me to conclude that the Commissioner’s decision reflected ‘his own brand of industrial justice.’"

>“The majority’s observation that the Commissioner did not increase Brady’s punishment is beside the point. Had the Commissioner confined himself to the misconduct originally charged, he may have been persuaded to decrease the punishment initially handed down. Accordingly, I would find that the Commissioner exceeded his authority, to Brady’s detriment, by resting Brady’s discipline on factual findings not made in the Wells Report.”

>I end where I began. The Article 46 appeals process is designed to provide a check against the Commissioner’s otherwise unfettered authority to impose discipline for “conduct detrimental.” But the Commissioner’s murky explanation of Brady’s discipline undercuts the protections for which the NFLPA bargained on Brady’s, and others’, behalf. It is ironic that a process designed to ensure fairness to all players has been used unfairly against one player.

>I respectfully dissent."

>>67107801
The NFL is not a government sanctioned law enforcement or ethics body. They have no right to force Brady to comply. And stop deflecting. The root of the issue is that the refs are there to ensure equipment is complying with the rules, and that no one is cheating. They did not do their job, and this shit just snowballed.

To move on to the whole phone argument, you must first demonstrate why the league and the refs are not responsible for allowing this to happen. Anything else is irrelevant.

We kind of have to either take Lynch at 7 (he will probably go in the 1st) or hope Hackenberg is still there when we pick in the 2nd, which I doubt he will be since Denver will probably cuck us.

Literally the ancestors revenge of native american burial ground
He got in the league the year before CBA Changed 1st round contract rules, where he was able to hold the team hostage by not signing and then the team loses the pick
He lucks his way through that entire contract and finds himself in dry and overpaid qb market where he was just able to sign for 2 years for even more money short term just tomnbe a stop gap for the team
All this money which will be like 100+million after 2 years, for some of the lowest production by any qb ever over that time period
Bradford is one of the luckiest people in sports

I heard alot of good things. But the thing you have to remember about running backs is that their job is extremely simple and is largely dependent on how good their line is, all they have to do is find a hole and run through it, then break some tackles if they need to.

Honestly if he goes to the cowboys I think he'll be a freakin beast since the Cowboys have a beast O-line.

yes. chip dealt with a somewhat similar situation involving desean jackson by launching a smear campaign accusing jackson of being a gang member and a lazy guy with a shit attitude who wanted way too much money and basically deteriorated the relationship to the point that anyone who potentially would've traded for him just decided to wait until he was released. i'll say that again. he shit talked his own leading receiver into having NO TRADE VALUE WHATSOEVER and let him walk to a division rival where he signed a team friendly contract.

that and his "revolutionary" meme offense never proved to really have much more to it other than "run all the offensive plays super fast"

So why don't Patriots fans just accept that their team cheats? they literally have the opportunity to be modern day Raiders and they're still acting like the victims instead of owning up to it and not caring.

Just accept it already, it's fucking pathetic. Nobody gets busted this many times and is innocent. You're the DINDU NUFFINS of the NFL world. Is it because the owners a kike and his Judaism rubs off on the fans. Everytime something happens OY VEY IT'S ANOTHA SPYGATE.

Man the fuck up and accept it already. Victim complexes are for fucking pussies.
>>
>>67112715
Yeah I am.
Yeah, Allen's dog shit but I really like Jackson III and Joseph, I'm not too hot on Neal or Bell but they're fine and I think they'll be solid starters (Giants are apparently really high on Bell for some reason) I think this class has a lot of late round DB's who could end up being solid though.
>>
>>67112770
Good taste Jackson would be a great pick at 25 and Karl Joseph is my defensive draftfu next to Mackensie Alexander. Don't understand the comparisons between Joseph and Matt Elam at all Joseph was a huge playmaker in the passing game last year before he got injured

Yeah I really like Jackson, he's my favorite of the cornerbacks that would be available there (I also like Fuller but he'd be a bit of a reach).
Alexander being available at the Ravens 2nd rounder wouldn't surprise me unless the Titans or Panthers take him.
He won't get picks but he'll be a solid defender overall, a nice #2.

I get that i'm trying to move a mountain with my feet but lighten up Pats fans seriously. If the thought of knowing the Patriots have done shady things to win championships turns you off of football completely than good riddance.

That's not even the point but okay.
Everyone is already over it already, anyone who isn't is retarded. Brady or not, we're superbowl contenders every year. Brady will take the case to court again and chance it, probably won't get overturned, but we went 11-5 with Matt Cassel, and the team is far more stacked than in 2008, we're in for a good year.

Brady's only suspended for four games. When you think about it they've been through MUCH worse. If Garoppolo stinks, it doesn't matter because Brady will return by week 5. I think people have come to the consensus that Belichick is the bigger piece to the puzzle than Brady.

No they aren't. Brady has been damage controlling bills fuckups the last 4 seasons and the guy went full senile after week 10. I can't blame him either, brady had a nigger fix oline, two receivers and one giant tight end McMeme couldn't utilize past week 1. Our secondary was in shambles save for butler and the unsung hero chung. The entire coaching staff stopped caring after their first loss, it was like watching the Bengals offense in the playoffs and the packers defense in caper moment. Maximum fucking meming.

When brady catches a pass for 35 yards then throws an interception on miscommunication you know McDaniels needs the boot.

You know, I'm starting to sour on pretty much every first round prospect. There are very few that I feel like are either explosive playmakers or otherwise sure bets in the NFL.

The one guy I thought would be an obvious all pro player was Jaylon Smith and he's ded. Shit sucks.
>>
>>67110831

I never understood the scheme, it just wears your own team down the further you go in the season. So when you should be playing your best football you're playing your worst.
>>
>>67113654
yeah this is a draft to trade down in, there's actually good depth but the top end prospects are disappointing outside tunsil and ramsey

>>
>>67113778
he's just a victim of his position, the fact that a center is projected to go into the first round says more about how weak this draft is
>>
>>67113688
Yeah I think Tunsil and Ramsey are sure picks. Miles Jack is worth it for his athleticism. There's a huge drop off after that though, I feel like Buckner, Elliott and Bosa are overrated.

There's a lot of good talent in rounds 2-4 though. Some of the other projected first round guys are good but would need to be drafted into the right scheme.

I think it's a buyers market though. I want the Falcons to trade down, and I hope maybe the Browns or Broncos try to trade up to select Paxton Lynch or something, but I think that's a long shot. One can dream, the Falcons need picks.
>>
>>67113766
Lol why does it look like Hakeem Olajuwon

He's a bama linemen, which scares me a little. I think he's good, but I think Nick Martin is a little better. Both are probably 2nd rounders.

Question /nfl/ say the 1983 draft had gone differently and Dallas traded White to the Bears and got Elway and the Colts had drafted Marino at 6.

Dallas with Elway probably doesnt get sold for cheap to Jerry Jones and the 90s Cowboy dynasty never happens.

Do the Colts move to Indy? If the Colts never move to Indy does Indianapolis ever get a team? Does Modell move them there and win the owl in 2001? What would this theoretical Indianapolis team be called? Probably the Racers or some dumb shit I guess.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/04/26/jamarcus-russell-wrote-every-team-asking-for-a-chance/

>“As a former NFL player, I understand the daily grind that football operations can be,” Russell wrote. “I am prepared to be physically examined and to have my football IQ evaluated. I would sincerely like an opportunity to come to Dallas and meet with you and the coaching staff. I know that my name does not carry much weight in the NFL right now but I am more than the image that others have bestowed on me. I’ve been labeled as a bust, I have been labeled as lazy and I have been the target of many insults by the media. The blame for any negative press that I’ve received rests squarely on my shoulders.”

>Russell says he’d be a water boy if that’s what it took to get a shot in the NFL, and that he’d run the scout team for free.

>“You might see me back,” Russell said. “You never know.”

Matthews was always a better back in the Philly offense. The combo of Sproles/Matthews was a much better combo than Murray/Matthews. They just wanted to take away Murray from Dallas.

>for free
might as well be a janicuck
we are basically all nfl scouts anyway desu
i bet at least one franchise (the browns) gets a portion of their draft advice from here

This is really kind of sad tbqh familia, not quite freddy adu selling vacuums sad, but still sad. Either he really wants back in, or more likely, he's just running low on money. Wouldn't it be something though, if a QB desperate team like the Broncos took him, but the fact is Tebow deserves that spot if anyone.

QBs who can still play who you want to see back in the game Power rankings right here:
1.Tim Tebow
2.Brett Favre
3.Jamarcus Russel

who else to add lads?

Am I gay? Why does everything I wanna put a ring on have a dick?

Also go Vikings. Can't wait for the draft where they ignore defense and draft the worst offensive talents in the early rounds. Looking at you fuller and Decker.

This is really sad...

>mfw Bill Belichick signs him at vet minimum to be a camp body
>mfw Jimmy G gets hurt during the pre-season
>mfw JaMarcus Russell is now the starting QB for the Pats

Broncos weren't nearly as injured as the Cowboys nor did the Broncos have more of their star players out for the year like the Cowboys. They lost Peyton for half a season that's it.
