after watching garrapolo again, in my professional opinion, he will be a QB of the brett favre style, big playmaker, but will also get picked off a fair bit because he's easy for the safety to read. Also he has a habit of throwing behind his recievers, and throwing the ball in hard to catch places, making the ball pop into the air more. Good at avoiding pressure though, which is good. He has a strong arm, but needs to refine it a bit more.

Considering where we came from after bush, I think Obama's done a pretty decent job. My ideal candidate would not allow muslims into the country, while simultaneously having a little more middling ideas, enticing me to vote for Trump because Im worried that Hillary or Bernie might be Merkel 2.0 and allow fucktons of arabs into the country, but I just don't see it happening because we aren't gonna pay for their transportation, and we have a massive ocean blocking their advance. I don't want to get banned again, so I'm gonna return this to the realm of football. Who's the best CB at the end of this upcoming year? As in after super bowl 51. I think Norman will get exposed, and sherman will be number 1 again with malcolm butler coming at 2, dude's a real shutdown corner in development, just needs to work on his timing of jumping, but after watching him play all of last year, he has great positioning, which is the most important thing for any CB.

the next lockout will be fucking crazy though. Brady has shown that Goodell can basically accuse players of something with no hard evidence whatsoever and then suspend them with the current collective bargaining rights agreement. If you seriously think there was plenty of evidence involved in this case, you are seriously wrong, otherwise the NFL would have triumphantly released it's findings pertaining to air pressure at the end of this season. There were plenty of cold weather games, and still there were no results released, leading me to believe that they did indeed find that balls deflate slightly in cold weather, as per the ideal gas law.

This is what I think this was originally intended to be honestly. Darnell dockett summed up the whole reasoning behind offseason drama pretty well in this article
http://mmqb.si.com/2015/01/31/darnell-dockett-nfl-dirty-laundry

You keep people intrigued over the offseason by putting up these little crises. The NFL just underestimated how big this would blow up because of the fact that they convicted an innocent man on entirely circumstantial evidence, and that man was Tom Brady, and now they are fighting to 'hold back the floodgates'. If you watch the most recent first take, you see Skip Bayless just going full rage because he likes Brady, and Steven A stepping back from the whole situation and seeing the bigger picture of the fact that this isn't actually about deflategate anymore.

The point of the game is to win championships, not MVPs, not accolades, not records. These people go into every season with only one goal, to win the superbowl, and Manning hardly helped either of his teams do that.

Honestly Peyton Manning was pretty selfish, he only cared about his personal stats so much that he literally stat padded his way into the recordbooks every time. And then when the playoffs came around he always laid an egg, even when he won.

Not even talking about Tom Brady.

Eli Manning is a better QB than Peyton, Because Eli made clutch throws in both Superbowl wins that won the game.

Ben Roethlisberger is a better QB than Peyton Manning, he may have sucked it up in Superbowl XL, but In XLIII he really redeemed himself and made the game winning touchdown with literally one of the most clutch passes in NFL history.

Drew Brees is without question a better QB than Peyton Manning, in his only Superbowl Appearance, he literally tore up that Colts defense like it was jelly. I think he was over 90% completion percentage and two touchdowns with no picks.

And those are just players that play in this day and age, there are probably 10 more QBs from the past better than Payton Manning.

Why are Bradyfanboys so insecure

You never hear Manningfans go "Brady wad trash, literally Jared Lorenzon tier"
Yet Bradycucks spew absolute hatred toward Peyton.

Why the need for smear tactics? Shouldn't the numbers back you up if Brady is better?

He's a lucky SOB tbqh. A few of those throws were literal inches from being INTs or Incomplete.

The one to Manningham in XLVI with Eli actually just heaving the ball while falling away was fucking ridiculous.

At least for Helmet Catch Eli made an insane scramble, even if there were like 4 holding penalties on that play.

Doesn't matter if they were lucky or not, he made the throws, the receivers caught the ball, that's all that matters.

I'm a Patriots fan and I still have nightmares about Super Bowl XLII, one specifically where Asante Samuel catches the pick and then runs it back for a touchdown and when he's right about to enter the endzone, he throws the ball away by accident and Eli picks it up and scores the game winning touchdown.

this is true, I loved this last super bowl because the 2 defenses were terrific in them. Not much scoring, but a lot of great defensive plays. Also, Vonn Miller is the best defensive player in football right now based on that playoff run, not JJ Watt.

Packers played some great defence last season and in the playoffs. Holding the Cards to 20 points before OT was a pretty impressive feat given their current roster

>>
>>67122016
I think it hurts Brady more than anyone else, he really has a pride thing going for him and he's said many times that he doesn't want anyone doing his job.

Come to think of it, it probably propells Brady more than anything, not because he's mad at the league, but I think if Garopollo tears it up in the first four games it will probably make Brady play wanna play lights out to shut up the Garopollo bandwagon

I'm actually kinda excited to see Garopollo play, no disrespect to Tom GOATy but his play is kinda stale, not that thats a bad thing because he still wins and plays good, but I feel like I've seen him play so much that I expect when he's gonna audible and call out the mike.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/02/02/nfl-blows-chance-to-fully-understand-football-air-pressure/
If the NFL had found such a major discrepancy in the air pressures of the balls in the AFC championship game with air pressures in games with similar temperatures, they would have said something, but they didn't, and they had no interest in testing what would have clearly proven them wrong, hence why we have no data released by the NFL in regards to this problem. In short, the pats got railroaded for literally nothing.
>>

I actually wanted to see Geno in Chan Gailey's system but then IK jacked him up so it wound up being Fitzpatrick.

I think the Jest should give Geno Smith another shot. Fitz didn't suddenly get good, he just had an OC and receivers that could disguise his weaknesses. Let's see what that same system could do for Geno.

they did test it they just didnt keep the data according to goodell because it was just spot checks not a study

according to espn throwing something away is "destorying" it

seems like the phone and the data could have had info that would prove this one way or another but only one side is being punished for not producing it

that being said the pats probs cheated, this is way to harsh a punishment and way to big a story and this "cheating" is a laughable rationalization for butthurt jelly fans of teams that have lost to the pats over the years

There's a reason the word "ideal" is in the "ideal gas law". It assumes all conditions are ideal and the gases behave themselves, which they almost never do. The better equation to use is the van der Waals equation aka the real gas equation.

[P+a(n/V)^2](V-nb)=nRT

Problem is the Pats don't want to use it because it would blow Brady the absolute fuck out.

Honestly, needs more emphasis on OL and less on LB. Now I agree with WR and OLB in rounds 1 and 2 respectively but going that hard on LBs when OL and DL also need to be addressed is pretty unnecessary. Draft OL in round 3. Draft DL in all later rounds. Draft a different WR in the first and drop the kicker pick. Theyre trying to build a team around Bridgewater because they know AD wont last forever. OL and WR is the way to go in the earlier rounds obv, with OLB and DL being for later rounds (with the exception of the early OLB pick)

Only to have him be drug down and run over by the team that is the Detroit Lions, then proceed to retire early from the stress?

We are already at #2, so Lions lead the league

Jack isn't just athleticism, he's also got instincts and awareness. Nine times out of ten he's already heading for where the ball is going to be before the play is fully formed. The knee is a concern but not that much of one.

Bosa, meanwhile, is undisciplined, one-dimensional, unathletic, and at times even lazy. He constantly lines up and/or jumps offsides. Jack is far more athletic and versatile than Bosa. If you think Bosa is a more sure thing then you've done a shit job of scouting him.

Lions haven't drafted a HOF caliber player since Barry Sanders
>>
>>67131021
Su'a Cravens was meant to be a safety, and Laquon Treadwell falling that far is an absolute dream come true. Doctson and Coleman are total busts, and that'll show 3 years from now. They also just picked up two o-linemen who are no joke, not to mention the offensive linemen who didn't even get a chance to play last year due to injury.

Also, Blair Walsh hasn't been consistent since his first year in the NFL, which Vikings fans are clinging to like he's Janikowski or something. He misses easy targets all the time. It's time to move on, especially when you've got a golden opportunity like this one.

Calvin Johnson if he played one more year at least would have been a sure fire HOF
He's a top 3 WR talent but not statistically.

This
Calvin Johnson was a great WR, but he isnt a HOF receiver. Just because he was one of the best in the league when he played doesnt shoehorn you into the hall.

Isnt there already a pretty large waiting list of WRs to get into the HOF right now anways?

Big fucking nope. He excells in both run and pass defense which is why he's a top prospect as opposed to just pass rush babbys.

Again no. He's not an athletic freak like some of those giganiggas but he's definitely not unathletic.

No shit, as he's a coverage linebacker whereas Bosa is a 4-3 DE.

I get that the Vikings technically run a 4-3 but Zimmer plays nickel more than half the time, there's not much need for a third LB that will rarely see the field

Which is why Su'a Cravens would be a perfect fit at safety, at least. When they're not doing nickel, though, they still need that 3rd linebacker. Replacing Chad Greenway is more of a need than another lineman imho.

Yes, undisciplined. Check it out.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKSG8MbJ38c

Within the first 10 plays he jumps offsides TWICE. NFL offenses will make you pay for those mistakes more than college offenses will.

And yes, one-dimensional. He has no natural bend when he gets to the top of his arc, he doesn't have change of direction ability in space, he rarely wins with anything but a bull rush, and he did most of his damage against lower-rung BIG-10 competition, often against the right tackle.

As for the athleticism, just check out the plays at 5:20 and 6:40. Is that what an athletic defensive end looks like? He's so awkward and clunky. You think players in the NFL won't break his ankles far more easily?

And if you think I'm just being selective, then check out the Penn State game. It's the same shit.

not a bad idea for a team thats trying to build depth (assuming not all the picks received would be fore this year) and not necessarily trying to find starters. IMO they need a deep threat, thats why they brought in busted ass Mike Wallace in the first place. If Fuller is available, Id bank on him. Other teams will most likely fall for the Doctson or Treadwell memes. How is Thomas? I personally havent really ever trusted Buckeye WRs to translate into the NFL well. Not the same as like WVU WRs (consistently busted) but they never seem to do well in my eyes.

Overhyped imo
Everyone is saying hes the big name in the draft and a lot of big name WRs taken in the first round since CJ havent been extremely spectacular, bust-worthy even. One of the best WRs in the league right now was taken in the sixth. Fuller's fast, he can pull safeties off the middle. When you have someone like Bridgewater who doesnt always have the time to sit in the pocket, he needs as many short routes as he can get and taking the safeties off will help. When they stop following the deep routes, suddenly Bridgewater Dragons (if he can actually pull them off in the first place)
