I'm really torn, I was unemployed for a season because of my "habit" of resigning (actually having to resign because my contract had finished) and I almost got us promoted last season, but I think even being promoted isn't going to do anything to change our finances that drastically. Seems like the FFP limitations were calculated after my first season in the prem where I had about 2k average attendance for half the season and barely fought off relegation.

yes. you can try checking the u21 and u19 national squads for those countries (eastern european EU countries are often your best bet), sometimes they have low-reputation players without clubs.
but unless you can manage to sign a staff member with knowledge of another country, they won't show up in your search screen
also, you might want to go into the 'filters' menu and tick 'show realistic transfers' to cut out some of the noise

desu, I love how your opponents (especially those that know you well, like teams from your league) adapt to your tactics as fast as they can and try to exploit your weaknesses. this is what keeps FM interesting for decades of ingame time.
I also play FIFA and every year FIFA is about finding out weaknesses of the AI defending, and exploiting it. All teams play the same, and they never change anything. Online is boring too because every year has one strong style of play and everyone does roughly the same, the only difference is that you have to outsmart your opponent when dribbling or defending, pretty much.
