Any webm of Iwobi's goal? It was beautiful
>>
Why didn't Iwobi pass to Shitbeck or Ozil after the double backheel?

They were both through on goal.

Also before that Monreal gave him the ball in space to cross/pass to either Sanchez or Ozil who were in the middle and he chose to dribble through everyone in the box.

I rate him as a good youth but he is allergic to the final 3rd atm desu
>>
Giroud's run was also good, Iwobi fucked that up badly. Had he predicted Giroud's getting across the defender, Giroud would have been 1 on 1.
>>
>>66289534
That was a good shooting opportunity, he just fucked it up and sliced the shot. Giroud shooting from 25 yards instead of passing it to Gibbs was much more infuriating

I'm scared that things can only go downhill from here. It's going to be the usual story again of not being able to financially compete with the other clubs (which is debatable), but now includes competition from midtable clubs too because of TV money.

Genuinely think West Ham will get top 4 this year. If they didn't get Payet and Lanzini injured they'd already be there
>>
>>66296817
they've also been cucked out of quite a few good results by refball

shows the power of a good manager to keep up pace with such a shit squad. their team is worse than stoke on papaer.

yet akbs say that arsenal will go backwards if wenger leaves
>>
>>66296839
Whilst Bilic is doing superbly, I don't think they have a shit squad or team. Their first 11 is excellent and their squad is very deep too. All they're missing is a 20 goal a season striker. They're gonna rectify that in the summer with either Batshuayi or a cheeky bid for Ibra. Plus they're moving into the Olympic stadium free of charge.

West Ham are sewing the seeds of becoming one of England's top teams. They're very well managed, from top to bottom.

>>
>>66296382

>>
Ronny Koeman when?
>>
>>66297695
I have my doubts. De Boer seemingly can't work with difficult characters, Ajax hasn't played attractive football in quite some time now and he's been criticized for his subs and sticking to out-of-form players for a while now. Lots of it sounds similar to Wenger and not in a positive way.

But unlike Wenger, De Boer seems open to change. Eventually. Bit it might be a bit of an embarrassment that Cocu in his first CL-season reached further in the tournament than De Boer in 4 years.
>>

Top 4 will be super competitive next season, no longer just the standard 3 of City, United and Chelsea with us v 1 other candidate ala Spurs/Everton etc,

At least 3 of these teams will miss out of CL and be considered a failure for it.

Klopp's Liverpool
Pep's City
Mou's United
Conte's Chelsea
Wenger's Arsenal
Ranieri's Leicester
Pochettino's Spurs

Not to mention West Ham will want to improve on EL and Everton may well get their shit together,

If Wenger was a competent manager he'd have:
- 2 League Cups, 2010/11 and 2012/13 instead of 0. He was never going to beat Mou in 07 so i'll let him off.
- 7 FA Cups, including this season.
- 6 PL titles, 2007/08, 2013/14 and this season over the 3 he'll only ever have.
- 1 Uefa Cup, losing on pens to Galatasaray is unacceptable
- At least 1 CL (2005/06, if not 2003/04)

Should have 17 major honours with Arsenal, not 9.

I don't think people realise quite how good Koeman is doing.

The man has been at the club 2 years. Has had a mass exodus BOTH years. Literally lost the entire spine of his team. Essentially losing Fabregas and Nasri x10. He's had to replace the entire spine of his team twice. And looking at all these other clubs that have brought in loads of players in one summer and failed, it's impressive that he hasn't failed. I can't think of another manager who has brought in loads of players in one window in recent history and succeeded.

Poch never had to do this. Poch had it all laid out for him. Koeman was the one with the challenge. And he's succeeded.

People will argue about who's the better manager for a long time, it's impossible to really figure out. But, for certain, Ronald Koeman has been a better Southampton manager than Mauricio Pochettino.

A big blow but not really rebuilding the whole team.
Pretty much every player than left has been improved upon though

Shaw (30m) -> Bertrand (10m)
Lovren (20m) -> Van Dijk (13m) and could also had Alderwerield for about 10m
Lallana (25m) -> Mane (10m)
Lambert (4m) -> Pelle (10m)
Clyne (12.5m) -> Cedric (10m)
Schneiderlin (25m) -> Clasie (10m)

Arsenals fixtures are looking very winnable on paper:

H: Watford W
A: West Ham W
H: Palace W
H: West Brom W
A: Sunderland W
H: Norwich W
A: Man City W
H: Aston Villa W

If Arsenal can have one of those unstoppable too late in the season runs, they can actually finish above Tottenham in the table who have:

A: Liverpool
H: Manure
A: Stoke
H: West Brom
A: Chelsea
H: Southampton
A: Newcastle

They better win the league. I'd rather them win it than Tottenham.
>>
>>66306355
They can rest content in the fact that they've both won it recently.
>>
>>66306335
True but realistically we should have won every home game in 2016 and have dropped a shitload of "easy" points instead and killed any title possibility
0-0 Southampton 2 pts dropped
2-1 Swansea 3 pts dropped
1-0 Chelsea 3 pts dropped

Those results alone would put us at the top, not even including dropping easy points v Liverpool etc.

Its over.

Mertesacker > Djourou

Ozil < Fabregas

Sanchez < Arshavin (Sanchez is a better player overall but 2011 Arshavin >> 2016 Sanchez)
Giroud < van Persie

Hard to tell, it feels like the current team is a sidegrade, it's more solid defensively but much less potent going forward.

Of course.
Madrid, City and Bayern will offload some decent players because of the managerial changes and hopefully Arsene still has enough drawing power to get one or two quality players in before retiring.

Who is your favorite Arsenal body?

Mine is Olivier Giroud (circa 2012)

Olivier's physique in the early 10's was very impressive. He has a naturally lean frame and his subtle muscle mass really complemented this. Great defined abs and body shape that could make any girl blush. An aspect i loved of his body was the rugged facial hair and thick, clean and stylish hair. It really complimented his 'boy coming into manhood' phase. I often find my self watching his old matches just to stare and look at his 'sexy boy' body. Any celebration move he performed really showcased his pristine body. A complete joy to watch especially his abs in his wet kit. Sometimes i replay it numerous times. The reveal of his abs through his kit's fabric never ceases to excite me. Olivier will forever be my 'boy toy'

>14/15 - 74 chances created, 5 assists - 6.8% conversion rate
>15/16 - 135 chances created, 18 assists - 13.3% conversion rate

So, while our conversion from his passes was awful in Ozil's first two seasons at Arsenal, this season we're actually doing better job at finishing than his Real Madrid teammates used to. That of course doesn't mean that our strikers are good, overall, the finishing is still dreadful and one of the worst in the league but it doesn't apply to the chances Ozil creates.

An even more interesting numbers emerge when we compare the conversion % during his magical assist run (16 assists in 18 games with the last game being Bournemouth at home) we actually converted a staggering 16.0% of his chances created. Since that Bournemouth game however, that number dropped to a lowly 5.7% and resulted in just 2 Ozil assists in 10 games. While Ozil isn't blameless (he created 5.6 chances per game in the first 18 games compared to 3.5 in his most recent 10), our finishing has been beyond dreadful since the turn of the year.

Conclusions -

1. While finishing remains one of our biggest concerns, we're actually doing a very good job at turning Ozil's creativity into goals (probably because an average chance created by Ozil is a better chance that an average chance created by someone else), even compared to his Real Madrid days.
>>
>>66331495
2. That horrendous drop in finishing/Ozil's creativity and Welbeck's injury is what cost us the title. During Ozil's first 18 games, we averaged 2.0 points per game and 1.78 goals scored per game, those numbers dropped to 1.5 points per game and 1.5 goals scored per game even though our defence remained consistent (0.83 goals per game conceded in the 18 games to 0.8 in the 10 games that followed)

Those numbers were largely helped by Welbeck, who has been incredible since his return and we've scored 1.8 goals per game in the 5 games since his debut. That leaves us with a gap of 5 games after that finishing nosedive and before Welbeck's return. In those 5 games we scored a measly 1.2 goal per game.

While some of those sample sizes are small, it shows a pretty clear picture of how much better off we would have been if our finishing had not fallen of a cliff or had Welbeck been healthy and playing at this level throughout the entire season.

If Welbeck could keep up this run of form and played every game, then he'd end up with 19/20 goals in the season. 4 in 9 is roughly 1 in 2

Obviously, this is impossible as we all know Welbeck is fucking shit. If he wasn't injured there is no way he'd put up those numbers.

Thus your theory falls apart. Welbeck being injured did not hurt our season at all. He barely contributed last season and has currently hit a purple patch
>>
>>66333255
19/20 league goals, mind. All comps would be 35 or so.

Welbeck definitely has has an impact since coming back but he has not been "amazing."

In the same time Welbeck scored his 4 goals, Giroud has had 2 wrongly called offside.

That sounds like City/Chelsea/United targets, can't see Arsene landing any of those.
Maybe a slight chance of a push for Higuain/Kroos to make Ozil feel like he isn't the only good player on the pitch.

Seriously though, we've got 3 midfielders out of contract in the summer and probably at least one, if not more defenders leaving.

I'm almost certain that Wenger will strengthen other areas of the squad and leave "getting a world-class striker" at the end of his priority list.
Then deadline day will come and he'll explain to us yet again how there's a lack of quality on the market.

Debuchy is technically still an Arsenal player but I can't see him getting back into the team.
Also some rumours going about that Gibbs might be sold, and I don't know what the situation is with Jenko right now

Having a GOAT young RB like Bellerin makes it hard to find a quality reserve who will be content to sit on the bench most of the season
