If they expand by two teams then they're going to have to restructure into four divisions for each league. Due to that they're going to need at least one more team in the South to get it geographically balanced. Raleigh comes off as having the most long term potential but there could also be territory issues with both the Braves and the Nationals. Nashville, on the other hand, can more or less split the South fairly evenly between that expansion team, the Braves, and the Nationals.
They'll also probably give Montreal a new team since momentum seems to be building for that for whatever reason.

I think this is more an issue with the way young players are developed these days. You get these big, strong teenage hitting prospects that are taught mostly to pull the ball as far as they can, and situational hitting techniques like bunting or intentionally going the opposite way are largely ignored.
If no one bothered to teach you proper bunting skills while you were young then I imagine it's kind of hard to learn later on. That's why I hate when people say "LOL just bunt it, dumbass!" when they see a lefty gets shifted on, as if it's an automatic base hit. Bunting isn't as easy as it looks. But you're right in that big league hitters should be practicing it more.

Well, post seasonwise I'm almost certain they'll have a playoff run but I doubt it'll make it past the ALCS again, and if they make it to the WS on comebacks and lucky timely fielding errors again I don't think they'll win it.
