The information is out there, statistics and what not.. only thing you'd really have to figure out is what really influences a game. But you're also dealing with the psychology and momentum of players. Unless there are articles or social media accounts available about the players, it's hard to predict how the players are feeling (as another factor for potential success).

Finding the correct variables to work with will most likely be the biggest challenge. I mean, it could be the weather (since some football teams prefer rain to pass the ball around faster) and other minor details that could influence things.
I know it's going to take ages and it might not yield the best outcomes initially, but you could have the machine learn and correct itself too; so either way, it's a fun project, especially since I'm invested in /sp/ related activities a lot.

Looking at race 4, the 7 is a clear favorite and its obvious why, his speed numbers leap off the page and he's made a career smashing tomato cans at this level.

But, I think we can find value in the 3. The horse has the ability to run the speed needed to win here and has won at higher levels of class. 5th is a maiden claimer on the turf so there isn't a whole lot to be divined here but I'll take a crack anyway. Wish the 6 hadn't scratched as it had the best breeding of the bunch. No clear favorite as frankly none of these horses are any good. Don't see why the 8 is favored, seeing as it couldnt break its maiden at a lower level, and has never shown the necessary speed to do it.
That said I think the 1 has a bit of value. Its shown the speed in the past and has good enough breeding for the field. But when you see a form that long its tough to pick it to win, but you might get some value at a place here.
the 9 is well bred, has competent connections, and isn't a proven non winner yet like the 1
Both the 9&1 are making big class drops and if the price is right throw them on the slip, but remember this is a maiden claimer, anything could happen.

A truly dire field in the 8th at Tampa Bay Downs. Cannot remember seeing a maiden field this packed to the gills with horses that will never cut it.
That said, the clueless oddsmakers working out of a fucking shed out on some canadian reservation are kind enough to be paying zero attention to this track, giving us a chance to take the two horses with any "quality" at a better price then at the track.
Just looking at the speed numbers, we can see that only two horses are capable of running the race required here, the 10 and the 4. One of those two should finally break through, but we can get the 10 at 2/1 on bovada as opposed to 6/5 at the track.
I'd say I prefer the 4 but the value is with the 10, either way they both should pay a bit.
