Well that proves nothing.
Meanwhile I can screencap where the post directly above mine is the 2nd ip in this thread and mine is the 3rd and when I got to the thread and it only contained the opening post and the first reply the thread only had a single ip registered.
Don't care what you say m8 but you are literally the biggest shitposter in all of these threads, always rushing to make your thread as fast as possible because you like to make people post in your threads that often begin with offtopic images and editions and worst of all you're a horrific ban evader so the mods can do nothing about it.

>>
>>63864722

It's admin, you have to stake within a minute or the line goes because of all the money that goes on. It's a race.
>>
>>63864609

Info:

Auckland City U20 have 2 of their best goalscorers on the bench in Zambrano (4 goals) and Murati (5 goals).
I followed Hawkes U20 last game against a strong Waitakere side and they played very well, much better than I expected and narrowly went down 3-2. I was surprised how well they played and that was against a much stronger lineup than Auckland have here, a handicap win is unlikely.
Hawke's top scorer starts with 4 goals Fane Morgan but they spread goals out well throughout the team, we 100% score today. Even though Hawke's are bottom of the league they have 14 goals in 7 games, just the defence that can let them down at times. Wouldn't play unders as it could end 3-3 or something.
Take no lower than +1 asian

Golden rules of profitable betting

>1) Have a good understanding of what you're betting on.
>1) Value is key. If your well and truly thoroughly researched judgement shows a substantial mismatch against the odds you're offered then play.
>1) Value runs across all odds. If something is priced at 20/1 when it should be 12/1. it's value. If something is priced at 8/1 when it should be 4/1. it's value. If something is priced at 6/4 when it should be Evens. it's value. If something is priced at 4/6 when it should be 1/2. it's value. If something is priced at 1/3 when it should be 1/16. it's value.
>4) You're a trader/investor. Not a gambler. This isn't a fucking game.
>5) Never chase. If you lose, you focus on why you lost. Not on how to make it back.
>6) Don't fight every round. Some markets have no edge. Some days are edge free zones. If you're not positive you're getting value, leave the fuck out.
>7) Keep a record of EVERY bet. Categorise every bet in as many ways as you can. Day of week. Sport. Location. Stake. Price. Perceived value. Drifts. Lengthenings. Weather.
>8) If you're making a consistent profit over a matter of days, weeks or months even, it doesn't mean you've figured the game out. Never get complacent and always keep an eye on potential weaknesses.
>9) Be healthy. Get rest. Eat well. Exercise. Be sober during research. Be puritanical when playing. Like all other sports, gambling is as competitive as shit and you're going to lose if your opponent (bookie/backer/layer) is tighter than you.
>10) NEVER FOLLOW OR RELY ON TIPSTERS. Anywhere. Anyhow. Under any circumstances. I won't bother explaining this one.

>#BONUS) Slag tennis. Not even once.

Very old to gambling (hence fracs), '09 on 4chan, briefly lurking in /bet/ for about two or three years.

Fractional odds is my first language which should give you an idea of how long I've been playing - and I use them in parlance because it keeps me sharp.

But if you have literally nothing constructive to add then enjoy your losses.

If you're that old to gambling you'd know tipsters and tipping services can be a great part of any bettor's portfolio.

Why do all your own work when there's others that can help you make money?

>>
>>63866486
You HAVE to be baiting or you haven't been in /bet/ anywhere near as long as you claim.
Yes 90+% of tipping services/individuals are terrible and not worth following but there are plenty out there who know what they're doing, will freely explain to you their reasoning and the best way to seek profit and are generally decent. I mean we all give Mackers shit but there is no doubt that he KNOWS what makes a good bet just he gets fucked in Asia which isn't disgusting and would happen to most people. Admin still very up for the year as I understand it so those with access to bubblegums living large.
Not to mention our very own flatanon, if you'd just flat staked his tips for the year and nothing else you'd be massively UAC. Man knows his horses.
>>
>>63866486
I don't need to understand why they reached their conclusions.
I subscribe to 4 services. All are well established, not some bloke off twitter spamming referral links, and all have been profitable for years. 3 provide reasons for the bets, one doesn't. I don't care because they all have profit/loss spreadsheets and graphs that go in a nice upwards direction.

One service had a terrible run 12 months ago, dreadful, but it recovered.

I've never received tips from someone who has just disappeared, but if they did, I'd find someone else.

I am well well well in profit from these services, I would be D A F T not to use them.

OK.

I'm from an older generation of punter with my old rules that served me well prior to and subsequent the social-media revolution.

In my original 10 golden rules post, I was just giving out the things I'd learned over the past twenty odd years.

Those rules clearly do not necessarily apply to you.

If you get more satisfaction building an understanding of "who to follow" than developing your own judgement and skills then who am I to give a shit. If it makes you money then more power to you.

I rarely frequent /bet/ and now I thoroughly understand why.

You do your thing, I'll do mine.

I have my own skills, judgement and area of expertise, and I pay others a quite frankly tiny sum for theirs.

I agree with all your rules apart from the last one.

Not true. Most of /bet/ is free thinkers. You dont need to insult us cause your betting tips you have picked up from placing fivers on PL accas over the last 20 years are shit.

It's nice to have something fresh. Haven't seen anything new since Shrewd Jimmy (I think that's what he called himself). Talked in short choppy sentences. Like it. Hope he's back.

>I agree with all your rules apart from the last one.

So we disagree on following tipsters. I can live with that.

Are there any rules you'd like to add to that list that you agree on?

For my benefit?

Stick with the same bet sizing, dont increase based on your thoughts of bets coming through
>>
>>63865959
good guide, though, as everyone else has said if you track a tipster over time and you they consistently turn profit there's no reason not to take the money.

>American dumpsters untouched over thanksgiving period
>Police baffled as soggy donuts soaked in coffee grounds remain untaken
>>
>>63867330

Fair enough.

I started gambling a few years before the internet kicked off and ages before social media became the norm. As such, I tracked players, horses, trends, sectionals and conditions as well as delving massively into statistics and latency, In my day, tipsters were unanimously considered to be shysters because that's what they genuinely were.

Perhaps today, they are a bit more reputable. I genuinely wouldn't know because when I developed my "game", it was with an understanding that tipsters and hype were to be especially ignored because that was a fast-track to failure. Nevertheless, I still get by without them.

All things considered, I'm happy to concede that it's a generational thing.

How about betting against the public?
>Always bet against the dallas cowboys, because soo many people bet on them due to their popularity example starting -2.5 against the 10-0 panthers
>>
>>63867620
Tbf all American trips have our own little events that /bet/ knows about. Bucs has his doughnuts story, I have the birdhouse story, brovada has like 30 kids with 50 women
>>
>>63867739
Not him but whilst going against public bets is in general a good idea it can backfire since plenty of massive bankroll shrewdies will have that attitude and hammer a line back into place when it gets wildly out of line.
>>
>aussie bets
Im on lakers +8.5 well overdue for a win, today might be the day
Sacramento +16 the lines are getting a bit too big for GS imo, kings can keep up with GS in the scoring here
>>
>>63867739

Dismissal of hype is always healthy but especially so in this instance if the market compensates accordingly. As long as the offered line is favourable to your detached judgement then you're golden.

However, as this guy >>63867823 alludes, if the market readjusts itself and the value disappears then sit it out.
>>
>>63867855
Problem is their defense is tez and you could imagine that would be a problem against the Warriors. I mean, look at the Suns, they dropped 116 on them and still lost by 19. Might go on o221

Is a bet on liverpool to beat swansea good?
>>
>>63868257
Only paying 1.50 consider adding arsenal win in a double for maximum profit
>>
>>63868257

They had a rough game against Bordeaux on Thursday and didn't rest anybody special.

Should win but 1/2 (1.5) is short.
>>
>>63868323
I'm only putting a small stake, this bet looks safe. It's my first day on /bet/ btw

>>
>>63868369
Fyi teams like Liverpool rarely have much value on betting on due to massive supporter base betting on them due to being there favourite team.
Imo liverpool & arsenal double @ 2.47 is better

Canterbury DC worth a small bet at 5.5 due to value.
rball pretty even and a few of the fairly unbiased NZ footy twitter accounts I follow saying they are marginally the better side.
