What we need is a right handed OF that can hit for some power. We don't need singles and steals guys, especially not for 5 cheap years of a potential #1 starter. Good package, but not what we need
>>63667951
Why would we want an injury-prone clubhouse cancer? And nice of you to leave out the part where I said they're nowhere near what we need. Interesting, but not one of our young starters interesting
>>63668061

He's only cancer if the clubhouse is filled with people like him, Which LA is filled with
Overpaid divas
Only their pitching is down to earth, that entire lineup is filled with divas
the a's will be playing in the coliseum until about 2065
>>63668126
I'd rather not take that chance and assume he'll act like a human if he's traded. And then there's the issue of him staying on the field. He's a good player, but it's clear the Dodgers are desperate to trade him and there's a good reason for that
>>63668061
Dodgers clubhouse is a complete shithole. They all seem like the most stuck up pricks.
>injury prone
Based on what exactly? This season?
You seem to be forgetting he's an immense talent, far far better than Pillar, Pompey, and Van Slyke
>>63667918
Revere and Pompey for one of Carrasco or Salazar? Yea, you'd need to add something else. Carrasco is coming off an almost 5 FWAR season and Salazar is a young, 3 FWAR pitcher with more potential. That for a slappy, no walk OF with meh defense and a FV 50 OF who hits for no power?
>>63668224
>I'd rather not take that chance and assume he'll act like a human if he's traded.
Its not a chance, its whats gonna happen and he does act like a humman now
Sorry if the batflips trigger you that much
>but it's clear the Dodgers are desperate to trade him and there's a good reason for that
Because they have a glut of outfieder and he can bring in the best return?
Dodgers are filled with divas, trading him won't change shit
Eithier will still bitch and whine about his playing time even if he gets 8,000 AB's
>>63668236
He's an immense talent that the win-now Dodgers want desperately to get rid of. I don't want another Milton Bradley
>>63668303
That's because the Dodgers are stupid
>>63668298
Wasn't he benched earlier this year for skipping practice? No thanks. We have more than enough diva in this city thanks to Johnny Manziel, I don't want to bring on more of that
>>63668303
Where exactly are you getting this "desperate need to rid of puig"?
He's cheap as fuck and there isn't a problem if he stays. I hope he stays. And if he doesn't I want Carrasco.
>>63668370
>Wasn't he benched earlier this year for skipping practice?
No
>mo to puig but is still saying two no power outfielders who rely on high BABIP are ah okay
lol
>>63668390
The Dodgers have been listening on him since before the deadline, they put him on waivers in August, and there's been lots of talk centered around him being traded this offseason. Now rumors are popping up that his teammates want him gone. Even if they're just rumors, there's something going on that is making the Dodgers want to move him despite his talent.
What the hell is with this "muh doyers 8 outfielders"?
All of them are fucking shit, except for Puig when he's healthy.
>>63668760
>>63668632
Defensively the best outfielder is Joc. He's a top 10 outfielder in the league. Puig is good, but what makes him great Defensively is his arm. In a healthy season he'll lead baseball in outfield assists, just as he has before.
Puig might be a jerkoff or w/e but he's valuable, worth much more than what the Dodgers are paying him. Which is why he was out on waivers, to see what sort of offers he could get. It's like you don't even watch baseball or understand trade strategy.
>>63667657

>Yes, they are having discussions with other teams and they are willing to give up starting pitching. But some clubs say they're not that interested in dealing Carrasco or Salazar, and are more open to dealing one of their second-tier young starters.
>They'd love to sign Juan Uribe, and are interested in Justin Morneau. Clearly, they need at least one outfielder, b/c of Brantley's situation. No matter what they do, they won't take on much money at all.
Morosi was trolling for clicks with vague, unrealistic trade proposals. He didn't even narrow it down to the top 3 starters but that's what almost everyone is running with.
>>63669084
>worth much more than what the Dodgers are paying him.
Not who you're replying to but I don't question that his contract is a big plus and that Puig has value. However you can't pretend like there aren't legit injury and clubhouse concerns with him that just go away if he's out of LA, which makes me question if you understand trade strategy if you think those question marks get you a #1/2 starter like Carrasco.

Third Base: if you need to take more than five steps to get to the ball, it's either a foul ball or the Shortstop's responsibility
Centerfield: You'd better have a fuckton of speed to cover well over half of the outfield. You need to be able to read the ball of the bat well to take the best route, and be prepared to put your body on the line in case you need to dive or jump to rub an extra base hit. Having a good arm is pretty much a necessity to get the ball in fast too.

Idk what ur talking about fám.
But very quickly refuse that Kershaw is that greatest pitcher to have ever lived.
If no reply without memes, it's no refute.

Fuck off asshole, goins wasnt responsible for price giving up 6 straight hits in an inning, that popup wouldnt even have ended the inning

Giants in their time but didn't face the same competition that Kershaw every other pitcher faced post 1960. I'll even
Go as far as to say that w. Johnson faced weaker comp than kershaw does.
Pedro is top 5 goat and so is randy, Koufax, Maddux, and clemens, but Kershaw is still undoubtedly the #1 ever.
You still haven't refuted me. Listing names isn't a refute. Show me advanced metrics.

Literally lost the first ever world series game, therefore he's complete shit

Goins was out of position and called Bats off. That was an easy ball for Bats. The Royals wouldn't have frenzy hit and the Jays would have won.
>>63679055
Are we seriously still talking about this? Goins and Bautista made a mistake. That inning was on Price for giving up 5 runs. The guy just melted on the mound. Nice "ace" he is.
Apparently Boston is the cubs of the fallout universe.
Kek.
They were apparently 3-0 about ready to sweep an "unbeatable" Texas team.
Game 4 was expected to be played on October 23rd 2077, the day the bombs dropped.
So what fallout is saying is that the wo

He melted because his defense choked nigger. fucking christ
>>63679294
Really? So one error that had a guy on 1st base with no one out is completely Bautistas fault? It's Bautistas fault 5 runs scored? Just kill yourself faggot that argument is retarded. Most of the blame is on Price for giving up 5 runs in an inning. Number 1 pitchers are supposed to pick up their teams and lead them. He fucking folded.
>>63679382
If Bats had called off Goins like a competent outfielder would have then It would have been an out with no one on.
You can't ignore that Goins was WAY out of position and that there was a lack of communication. Any pitcher would get disheartened by such an easy out getting bungled Especially when playing a team that hits differently with men on.
>>63679294
name 1 other pitcher this season who gave up 5 or more hits in an inning after one of his defenders failed to catch a pop fly
go ahead il wait
>>63679422
Buehrle gave up like 8 after the defense made an error
>>63679408
>any pitcher would get disheartened
No, no they wouldn't. Only soft ones do. How many RISP were left on for jays against KC? Not putting most of the blame on price is absolutely retarded. Goins and Bautista made a mistake, but blaming them for 5 runs is something someone who literally just started watching baseball would say.
>>63679422
Happened to us a couple times this year
>>63679443
Then Price is going soft. That was an easy out and you know it. Allowing a runner on fucks the rhythm most pitchers, making them pitch from the stretch to compensate.
Over the whole series the Jays were 11-58 with RISP and the Royals were 19-48. Royals were almost 50% better with RISP. So letting players on with no outs against them is going to make a lot of people scared.
>>63679534
>Then Price is going soft
damn what gave it away, was it the giving up 5 hits straight in a single inning? Or the fact he has like a 5+ postseason ERA
>>63679534
>price is going soft
That's my entire argument. David Price just melted under the pressure. His past post season is a real indicator that he succumbs to pressure. I will admit though he was pretty fucking good in game 6 of the ALCS. Best start I think he's had in the post season with the exception of his ALDS with the Tigers last year.
>>63679580
He wouldn't have given up 5 if he had one out no one on. Goins-Bats fuck-up cost you guys the game.
>>63679585
There wouldn't have been pressure if Bats had called off Goins and caught it like a competent outfielder.
>>63679585
Its not even pressure, he had a 5 run lead against texas and still shit the bed
>>63679611
>He wouldn't have given up 5 if he had one out no one on
thats fucking stupid and you know it, its way too early to be posting this weak as shit b8 m8
