Might not be for you but I will say that FM15/16 tactics are more accessible they changed it from sliders to shouts. Personally think that shouts are more accessible to most people. It is easier to understand for the general populous although less precise. You can still get this precision through individual player instructions but it requires a bit of micromanaging that previous versions didn't need.
Losing really is a part of FM though. Shit happens because of your tactics/cunt refs. You have to be able to deal with this in order to play for longer than two years in a save, part of the fun. If you do want to try and have issues just post a screenshot on here people are more than willing to help. Perhaps the easiest way to success is scouting which really could just be done by an enormous time sink of filters and what have your.
