Following objective reasoning though, Oklahoma State should jump Notre Dame because they beat the best team on their schedule so far, Notre Dame lost. Higher education bubble? Degrees are losing their worth because companies aren't hiring as much as they used to, the output is only increased slightly. The only "bubble" is in inherently shitty degrees like business and communication, which can get you jobs anywhere. Meanwhile theres a shortage of engineers and STEM graduates. MIT or that other engineering school, can't remember its name, wasted tons of money because it expanded its campus, added some multi-million dollar building, but struggled to increase its enrollment, even after it lowered its standards for certain conditions (race, good entrance essay, some other criteria).

I'm not trying to write it off. It's just that fluke games happen sometimes and you can't overrate the beneficiary of those games. Praise them and reward them, yes, but don't immediately bump them up into high playoff contention.

The defense just capitalized on the fact that Trevone Boyin, one of the best QBs in college football right now, had a career-worst game with interceptions. He threw 5 interceptions total this season up until that game and then 4 in that game alone.
Like I said, fluke games happen sometimes. Sometimes teams just have abnormally terrible performances. And you can praise the opposing team for capitalizing on or in some ways causing that, but don't immediately think that they're world-conquerors because of it.

The more I think about it, the closer I think the hypothetical UNC vs. Iowa game would be (which is possibility, considering both will probably lose their Conference championship games). Iowa is pretty good at a traditional offense that while balanced involves a lot of running.
