since losing steroidsman they have lost to LSU, beat the worse Georgia team ever fielded (and still looked pathetic at it), and needed a last-minute long kick from an injured kicker to beat Vandy during their own homecoming in what is the worst rape of the concept of college football put onto screen this season.

At this rate, Florida will lose to south catolina, fsu, and bama, and then probably lose the citrus bowl as well, and finish ranked behind the Vols.

Can someone give me a non-shitposting, non SJW quick breakdown of the MIzzou thing?

All i've heard is some high ranking black student got called a nigger on campus then rallyed the nigs and went crazy on the president because he wasn't striking down every racist in the state with an iron fist, then they asked him a question and he trying to give a calm explanation, to which the crowd exploded in tribal screams, social media exploded and the SJW's won.

Is that accurate or nah?

S W A S H I T K A
>>
>>63471929
Not exactly. The crowd surrounded his car so they could speak with him, his driver bumped one of the protesters (knocked him down I think) and then thats when they created the manifesto. Also the shit-swastika and some other racial slurs were thrown. Not really sure why he got blamed. Theres literally nothing he could have done about anonymous people throwing racial slurs at other people then driving off. The shitstorm was ridiculous.

Yes, that's accurate. Some black student claimed someone called him a nigger while on campus. He doesn't know who, so of course nothing could be done about it. Also, there was allegedly a swastika written in shit in a bathroom somewhere. There's no evidence for any of this actually that happened.

and then somebody drew a swastika on a dorm wall with feces

and then some hypersensitive liberal student groups demanded he resign, with one of them demanding he acknowledge and apologize for his "white male privilege" and no I am not making that up, also had a ton of other demands

then some white guilt faggot went on a hunger strike until he resigned

then (some) black players at the university said they were boycotting until the president stepped down

and some other inconsequential shit happened and then he resigned

just because there is a perceived "free" education doesn't mean its okay to foster an environment where screaming "nigger" at them is okay. Be an adult. This wouldn't be an argument if asians who earned full academic rides where complaining about being called gooks. People just have a problem with blacks having "a way out da hood". Everybody likes to lecture niggas about what they need to do, then turn around and get mad when they do it. Like here:
>all you football players care about is football, use you position to lead and care about the world
>stop caring and just play football, monkeys

or even better
>you blacks need to get educated blah blah blah
>while your here we're going to do everything in our power to make you college experience as racist as possible

can you honkeys at some point just stop being racist? Like you complain about blacks complaining, not a single one of you here have even remotely addressed the people doing the racist shit. I don't expect any real adult responses, so...
>>

So if you go to wal-mart, and someone says the word nigger in wal-mart, should the district manager be forced to step down?

Your logic is retarded and to be honest, it's why nobody likes niggers.
>>
>>63474338
If an employee at walmart says nigger and nothing is done to that employee and the district manager is like "i can't do anything" then yes, eventually he should step down.

Like I've said before, at Oklahoma with that frat shit the school at least made a public demonstration denouncing that shit and basically didn't welcome the shit there. If you paint a shit swastika somewhere at a university and the leadership there doesn't do anything, people are going to feel like racism is welcomed there. Do you not see that? Be an adult. And even if it was something like "we'll step up patrols, add more security cameras, and make even more harsh penalties for anyone engaging in what we deem racist activities". Stop with that "well we can't do anything". Good thing you don't run any type of institution.
>>

>someone smears shit on the bathroom walls in the shape of a swastika

When do white people stop at words when it comes to blacks? For other minority groups, white people usually just talk, with blacks white people get their guns out. That's what the students feared. What funny is on college campuses those mass shooters almost always have extreme racist views. Now combine that with school administration doing jack shit about the minor issues. You've got a recipe for disaster. But yeah, white people shoot blacks, every other race you all just talk for the most part. It was coming.

And you really don't think a Stanford resume including a win against a #4 Notre Dame team and a 1-loss Utah wouldn't deserve consideration? Ohio State last year was same scenario. Week 1 oopsie corrected by a thorough dismantling in their conference championship.

Stanford whomping Notre Dame and crushing Utah will get them in, unless there's a Big12 undefeated.

Michigan has a shot, but it's retardedly slim.

Michigan wins out (OSU + conference win is pretty nice)

PAC fucks itself by:
Stanford beats Notre Dame, Utah loses to UCLA, UCLA loses to USC, Utah def. Stanford in conference championship

Bama wins out, Clemson wins out, Okie St wins out and Baylor drops a game

Now you've got three conference champions definitely in with no other one loss teams in the conference, and a PAC 12 winner with a less impressive resume than the B1G winner (same W/L record).

see JS Mill's "On Liberty"

he argues that "social" freedom of speech is just as necessary to a healthy society as "legal" freedom of speech. modern leftists have forgotten this, or have been indoctrinated against it.

in our current USA, the vast majority of people will spew the mantra "freedom of speech, not freedom from consequences," when, in reality, that was exactly the original intent. How else is their true freedom of speech?

How is it really any different if:

Nowadays there are a ton of people in colleges and universities who think they're the future because they can read a textbook, but they have no actual idea how things work. It causes massive economic and social issues like we're currently seeing.

There's a strong influx of somewhat smart, but not necessarily smart enough, kids who are allowed to get into schools now. They go into dumb, purposeless degrees and get indoctrinated. They "make" a purpose for themselves, basically, be petulant, protest everything, not realizing how petty it is.

Meanwhile the real students are too busy learning, trying to get jobs, etc.

Universities already receive tons of government money, its how many of them stay afloat, or how a lot of them makes tons of money. Academic standards have increased (generally) as time (and government subsidies) increase. If your theory was true, schools would lower their academic standards to admit more people anyway, cause people STILL have to pay for their education, and more people = more tickets sold to sporting events and merchandise sold. Universities DO care about their rankings among other institutions, money has never changed that.
>>
>>63476370
Are you retarded? Every person has to come up with money to go to college, whether they get it from the government or on scholarship or out of pocket. Student loans dont change the dynamic at all. Also, the larger your student body, the more money you have to put into facilities. Increasing the student body just doesn't make sense for most schools, many of which already have the marginal revenue intersect line of profits. Increasing the student body =/= more money necessarily.

>>
>>63476421
schools have been lowering their academic standards

the calculus curriculum and math requirements are being relaxed year by year; kids in engineer calculus classes can barely do high school algebra now. And you won't believe how fucking dumb the kids who "ace" their calculus AP exam are when forced to take a real class.
>>
>>63476516

Not at my school, for Engineering at least, they're tightening standards. We're one of the top 3 largest in the country so don't put that evil on Engineering, they aren't the problem right now.
>>
>>63476512
I didnt say the enrollment numbers would be different, I said the $$$ dynamic is the same. The university gets money from EVERY student that enrolls unless they have the schools own academic scholarship (in which case, it is in that schools interest to keep the academic standard high or the scholarships limited). So basically, what you're saying is completely bullshit.
>>63476480
>>63476516
grade inflation is another story, it has nothing to do with university enrollment though, because it happens in the university itself and is a product of teaching, not policy (most of the time)

Most serious schools don't even accept the calculus AP exam. In any case, the SAT and ACT scores over time have barely changed (trending up about 1 point in 35 years for the ACT) but the tests are virtually identical. I will concede that basic courses are easier than they used to be, but engineering degrees aren't suddenly easier to get, and post graduate requirements are getting more stringent.

>As of Week 9 the committee considers Notre Dame with 1 loss a better than all undefeated Big 12 schools.
I am incredulous at this. What has Notre Dame done to be above, say, OSU? Not even to suggest that OSU is the better team, but we're going down this road of "Well they only lost to a good team" that makes quality losses a deciding factor over winning the big games.
>>
>>63476697
Well Baylor and TCU at that point didnt have any good wins (and now tcu has lost). Following objective reasoning though, Oklahoma State should jump Notre Dame because they beat the best team on their schedule so far, Notre Dame lost. However, I will say they showed thier bias when they put the team (memphis) that beat Ole miss outside of the top 10. I realize the memphis lost and so did ole miss again, but just according to the criteria, Ole miss should have been above most of the other undefeateds, inlcuding the Big 12 ones. There is some clear bias.

>>
>>63476543
This may be true, but there are TONS of universities relaxing these kind of requirements to try and get as many kids in to get their bullshit degree or just scam em out of a year or two of tuition.

They are making money hand over fist by accepting students who don't belong, and funneling most of them out or into diluted degrees that won't help them at all.

Universities make more money because the government subsidizes for every scholarship dollar they give out BUT the government pays like 40 cents on the dollar for those scholarships, so the universites dont make mor money, they lose less, it has nothing to do with federal student loans.

And like I said, most universites have a quota and a ceiling. They dont accept more students if they reach their ceiling because they can't hire new teachers, faculty, and create more classrooms and dorms out of nowhere. You realize that most businesses could sell more product but choose not to because there is a break point where you make more money doing less? University enrollment is exactly the same, most public universities know exactly where that point lies and they use those quotas/ceilings to reach it. More enrollment =/= more money, period.

>>
>>63476342
The problem is, what do you do with all those kids that probably shouldn't get degrees? Just tell them to skip college and go straight into working as a waiter at some diner?

We've become increasingly automated at jobs these current students would be working at instead of going to college. There's an abundance of young people with nothing to do but go to college, wait for a job opening, and in the meanwhile rack up debt.

Higher education bubble? Degrees are losing their worth because companies aren't hiring as much as they used to, the output is only increased slightly. The only "bubble" is in inherently shitty degrees like business and communication, which can get you jobs anywhere. Meanwhile theres a shortage of engineers and STEM graduates. Like I said, more students does NOT mean a university makes more money. MIT or that other engineering school, can't remember its name, wasted tons of money because it expanded its campus, added some multi-million dollar building, but struggled to increase its enrollment, even after it lowered its standards for certain conditions (race, good entrance essay, some other criteria).
>>63477503
right, but most only accept it as a credit, NOT as passing a requirement for your degree. Engineers specifically HAVE to have taken a calculus class in most schools, rather than the AP exam. >Why do people write off games in which the loser turns the ball over a lot?
I'm not trying to write it off. It's just that fluke games happen sometimes and you can't overrate the beneficiary of those games. Praise them and reward them, yes, but don't immediately bump them up into high playoff contention.

>solid defensive performance
It was literally their worst defensive performance this season so far. They gave up over 650 yards to TCU while gaining only about 450 themselves. The turnovers decided the game entirely, but it wasn't because of the defense's ability. The defense just capitalized on the fact that Trevone Boyin, one of the best QBs in college football right now, had a career-worst game with interceptions. He threw 5 interceptions total this season up until that game and then 4 in that game alone.

Like I said, fluke games happen sometimes. Sometimes teams just have abnormally terrible performances. And you can praise the opposing team for capitalizing on or in some ways causing that, but don't immediately think that they're world-conquerors because of it.

The more I think about it, the closer I think the hypothetical UNC vs. Iowa game would be (which is possibility, considering both will probably lose their Conference championship games). Iowa is pretty good at a traditional offense that while balanced involves a lot of running. UNC struggled against Georgia Tech because, imo, they don't have the personnel needed to defend against a well-oiled running attack.

It would be a pretty good game.

Daily reminder that Notre Dame is having a loss counted as a win (as their best win, in fact).

>used to be a vegas oddsmaker
So he's not a Vegas oddsmaker.
What point are you trying to make exactly? No Vegas casinos have made the claim that UNC would beat Iowa on a neutral field because they have no reason to.
You still haven't provided a citation that proves Vegas would favor UNC over Iowa.

None of the West Coast teams are particularly good, and it WAS a game where Stanford had to go east at the beginning of the year.

Northwestern looked good to begin the year but like absolute shit in their two loses, and they've played really bad since. They aren't a good team right now.
>>
>>63481373
Its an extra game that all the other top teams have to go through and not having one makes you look junior league now.
>>
You heard it here first, Iowa is going to drop their game against Minnesota this weekend and Jerry Kill will make a miraculous recovery and return.
>>
I wonder if these committee members actually watch any of the games?

Do you think they just have a list of the most profitable teams and then read the game recaps to see how much they can get away with?
>>
>>63481373
It's one extra game you fucking idiot
>>63481374
>Notre Dame overrated
Literally they've gone through like 8 goddamn starters, 5 of them were like rlly gud, are ranked 12th in SOS, and barely lost to the most impressive team in the country in dramatic fashion.

But they're overrated because they're not undefeated nor Alabama. Alright.

At least we agree on the Big 12 part :^)
>>
>>63481408
They read a book or some shit.

Point is none of you watch Iowa play and then comment on how shit they are.

The d is legit and stacked. The offense runs the ball like mad. The qb is a ballsy tennesee confederate.

Bring it cfb nation. Iowa does not give a shit about your opinion.
>>
NOTRE DAME WOULD BOOTY BLAST BOTH OF THESE TEAMS
>>
>>63481432
It's a chance to play another ranked opponent you didn't play before. In the Big 12, these teams would have already played.
>>
>>63481439
I think #4 is just extreme and any other conference winner is going to have a better resume. Their current best wins are non-power five conference teams.
>>
if navy beats houston, are they pretty much confirmed for an NY6 bowl?

>usXII's

how's it going to feel when you faggots get left out in the cold AGAIN this post season??
>>
>>63481442

I've been watching them all year.

Beathard has a groin injury that has horrifyingly limited his mobility. Tevaun Smith has not been the same since his injury earlier in the season and he has lost his breakaway speed. The only sleeper they have is Vandeberg and teams are starting to realize he's their go-to man on 3rd down situations and have been containing him really well.

Iowa's "great D" gave up 241 yards to Maryland, 407 to Indiana and 363 to Illinois. They have horrible problems containing the QB. Desmond King is a star, but Greg Mabin is a fucking retard and lacking Ott has really started to show.

Their O-Line cannot contain the pass rush worth a shit and CJB has gotten his ass canned multiple times this year.

They are NOT that good. They are a decent football team, but they are not great.
>>
>>63481439
They haven't beaten a single above-average team. Temple and Navy are their best wins. They should be ranked lower but they're getting the benefit of the doubt because Clemson is the #1 and the fact that they're Notre Dame.
>>
>>63481480
Houston would need to beat Memephis this week, but yeah, that would make a strong argument for Naval Academy
they certainly can't lose anymore games
>>
>>63481342
Hope to see you back at the championship, was such an amazing game last time
>>
>>63481487
Yes because yards are worth points now retard.

And who gives a shit about passing every down, rushing stats my man.
>>
>>63481457
An extra Baylor/TCU game probably would have put the winner in the playoffs last year.
>>
>>63481474
>going to have

I don't think you quite know how the committee works cuh
>>
>>63481487
Giving up 241 yards in today's game is an accomplishment.
>>
>>63481510

Yeah, holding Maryland to 15 points is something that a defense should be commended for.

I'll give you Indiana, since Howard is an animal and Sudfeld can spread the field really well.
>>
>>63481512
But they already played, and we know that Baylor was better. Not to mention they'd likely have been in the same division.
>>
>>63481510

we literally just saw what happened to a "rushing man" in Fournette and he got his fucking ass handed to him

This bama is not the same as '12 bama. Also, judging by ND's resilience through all of their injuries I would say they have quite a bit of depth.
>>
Can anyone explain why Ohio State is immune to SOS but memey Baylor and esp Ok St are not?
>>
>>63481487
You literally described every Iowa hater congrats.

You failed to notice the insane turnover margin, points allowed, and time of possesion which are all things good teams do well at.

Iowa is sixth in turnover margin. Ninth in points allowed. Ninth in time of possesion.

It does not matter who you are, you win those three things you win alot.

Some other teams that are "good":
Baylor 3, 59, Outside of top 50.
Alabama 38, 7, 3
Clemson 38, 9, 42

This is why Iowa is percieved as sucky, but in reality if you do not turn over the ball, get take aways, control the clock, and not let teams score you win alot of games.

But let us keep imagining OSUs or Baylors schedule is somehow better than Iowas.

Fuck the gophers. GO HAWKS.

Nice victory there, eh. ND was up 42-17 on Pitt in the 4th quarter until they threw in their backups and pitt got some garbage points.

Iowa has no business being near top 4 right now.
>>
>>63481753
Alabama's passing attack isn't as potent, but their running game is just as good or better and their defense is at least close to equal.

They'd beat Notre Dame.

>>63481782

you probably think pitt was a good team

I'm an Iowa fan m8 and of course those metrics are going to look great. Have we really matched up against a tough front 7 yet? Wisconsin might be the closest and they made our offense look like a bunch of amateurs

If Wiscy had Clement they would have strolled right over us

>muh Meyer in OSU-Florida
We all know how that would end. Meyer would walk onto the field, beaming with confidence following his undefeated path to the national championship game. He scans the stadium surrounding him and spots a man in the distance. Instantly, he recognizes that frayed hair, the goofy smile, and those buttery, buttery teeth. He sees McElwain staring at him and gets horrible flashbacks to 2009 against Alabama. He breaks into a cold sweat. J.T. Barrett grabs his shoulder--"You okay, coach?" Meyer clutches his chest, gasping for breath. He pushes Barrett off him and begins scrambling back towards the tunnel. His players surround him and try to help. A figure adorned in a blue windbreaker jogs over, "What's goin' on here?" That Montana twang. It's indisputable. It's Saban's agent coming back for revenge.

Meyer falls to one knee briefly, only to collapse moments later. The world starts spinning as it descends into darkness. He can see Saban's face staring at him in front of the void. It begins speaking directly to him. "The SEC championship, Meyer." McElwain's chuckles echo across the black. "Why'd you run from me, Meyer?" More laughter, rising in volume. "You beat me last year, but you can't run from my disciples forever." McElwain's laughter reaches full volume, blaring in Meyer's ears. "Talk to us, coach!"

He dies in the tunnel on the cold ground. Florida wins the national championship game against Ohio State 67-3.

Jesus Christ you people will find anything to bitch about when your team isn't winning. Why isn't Iowa allowed to win? They are in a p5 conference and are undefeated through 9 games. Quit bitching and just fucking deal with it.
>>
>>63481849
SEC teams are not what they use to be.

And I would take the top half of the big ten over shit stain florida.
>>
>>63481913
Florida fans still this upset that their coach left their shit-tier program.
>>
>>63481768
Of course Baylor is going to look shit in ToP considering most of their drives are under 2 minutes long

The fact their time of possession is that short yet their offensive prowess is that big is terrifying
>>
>>63481904

If Iowa goes 12-0 and drops the Big Ten title game they'll probably go to the Rose Bowl you daft twat.
