So we have a lot of topics on fixing football but I thought I'd come in with some suggestions to make baseball better, taking cues from it's anglo brother, cricket

Not a surprising change, it's a shit rule. Pitchers have to bat, and they can't change the order either.

By the 8th inning, there has to have been either
>3 pitchers used having pitched 2 innings each
OR
>4 pitchers used total
Ideally a 9-innings game would be 3-3-3, but I'd allow 4-3-2 between three pitchers to favour the better guy. No switching pitchers during an inning. If a guy is throwing trash then he has to keep throwing trash until the 3 outs.
If a pitcher is not currently pitching, they are fielding. The 9 players on the field are the same as the 9 on the team sheet, unless someone is injured.
For additional complexity

Encourages teams to be more tactical with who they use and when
This means, on average, you'd have 6 batting specialists and 3 pitching specialists in the starting 9, the batting order would have to consider whether the pitchers are any good at batting and where to put them relative to the stronger batters, and it will force teams to have pitching depth because one guy can't throw the entire game and a shitty third pitcher can lose it for you. It also encourages more all-round skills, a lot of players now have to be competent at batting, pitching and fielding otherwise they risk being a liability.
Also, it gets rid of the fat cunt DHs

On paper this is mightily impressive, but does it simply gloss over the fact that in seven seasons he only has one league title, which is incredibly unimpressive.

It's highly defensive, the proponents don't win. If you go out to play, you tend to lose more than win. Belgium tried to play, Croatia tried to play, Germany tried to play, Argentina tried to play, and lastly France tried to play. It's not working, so what needs to change
