Molly Qerim and Jones actually dedicated airtime to the shirt, which was supposedly “dominating the social media conversation” as the show progressed.

Not that I can see, but remember the MLS only started 20 years ago. It's been tougher to get funding for the women's league, though winning the goddamn FIFA spiked interested and female U.S. players made like 20 times more than the men did this year.
