I downloaded Pokemon Go on it's release date, because I am a diehard fan. And I watched the cultural shift when the media blew up with Pokemon Go news.
Suddenly, Pokemon became relevant. And it became the "cool" thing to be seen playing Pokemon. And I can guarantee you that the majority of these people are playing Pokemon Go for purely social and political reasons.

I honestly think it's a nice state to live in, we have a great variety of natural environments near the city and the Adelaide CBD itself is pretty comfy. But it's second only to Tasmania when it comes to lolnojobs.

Just watched this really depressing movie and thought of you guys. It's called Gridlock'd. It's an old 90s movie about two heroin addicts struggling to get accepted into a Medicaid rehabilitation program, shot complete with that bleak, grey 90s vibe. Reminded me so much of the things I've heard friends say -- just replace Medicaid with Centerlink and it's a done deal, imo ...
I guess it's that level of cluelessness about life and thinking that one thing is magically going to make everything better. There's honestly nothing more depressing than listening to junkies dreams and knowing realistically that not only are they never going to happen but through a lack of basic education and life skills -- they've missed the mark completely. Brought back so many feels of a youthful hopelessness I once knew all too fondly - one that I still see in the struggling ex and sometimes current associates I know.

I keep reaching points in my life where I say "that's it, I've lost all hope" but then a year passes and I realize how much hope I've somehow managed to lose since that point and even feel nostalgic about it.

if you have no money to invest in training, fast food joints. they generally offer flexible hours. shit pay but they can help you get a little behind you.
if you have a bit of money behind you for training, get an RSA and do bar work. pays well, not super easy to get but if you're competent, shouldn't be hard at all.
i also hear security tickets aren't so bad.
if you have more money to spare than that or parents that are willing to fund you, a forklift license will land you a job in a factory (although generally not in the city, more rural areas) and you can generally find specific courses related to tradie type work that doesn't actually require a trade.
