What stings me even more is that I feel I wouldn't even have motivation issues with lifting as a hobby. Solitary activity with music playing, no social aspect whatsoever, number focused activity with weekly progress. I even have a really great gym with excellent reviews a few streets from where I live.
Getting all hyped up after learning about lifting and seeing a new pathway to possible success, only to learn valvalva maneuvers are dangerous for me and see life just shut it down into my face.
This is why I need escapism in media. I live vicariously through anime and books, and numb my brain with videogames.
