This must be it, it must be that it isn't even just that people don't understand what depression is (hurhur, why don't you just be more positive?), it's that they don't understand that people actually do try to fix it for years and years and figure out that it isn't temporary in that it will one day be fixed forever, but temporary in that sometimes the depression will subside/go into remission for some time but inevitably comes back and destroys your life all over again and you eventually just get fucking sick of dealing with having to constantly restart from nothing.
