I commute pretty far using public transport. I'm on the 7:10am bus to get to the city and then get the metro out to a business park to get to my desk by 10am. I finish at 6 and get home by 9pm. It's fair to say I'm tired.
But at the end of the day the pay is good, the people are brilliant and the job is awesome and technical. I really enjoy learning about the technologies I support.
I can afford what I want and I'm having a good time. I don't get how people cope.
I'm 22 with an office job and sometimes when I fuck up I get genuinely stressed even though the worst that could happen is getting fired and becoming NEET at my house where my parents will look after me and I can, at worst, survive.
How do people cope? I'm constantly worried about putting enough into a pension, and saving for a house, and whether or not I'll ever have a stable job to pay for said house or whether or not I'll ever be able to afford a nice one , and should I take a good job in London despite the fact I'll never live comfortably there?
