I like Bernie for his economic policies but not him getting cucked by BLM, but how is not the right time for him. It may never be the right time for him, tbqh.

Edgy faggots who have no idea how economics works hate him because they were brainwashed as kids by trickle-down Chicago Boys meme economics thanks to Regan. Look at any third world shithole on the planet and how wealth is distributed, and then look at the direction America is going in.

Either way, I'm not having kids so they won't have to deal with the fallout either way. Whoever wins at least it will be entertaining.

I honestly think we're fucked either way.
Or do you honestly think anything would change no matter who wins?

In every scenario the other side would do literally anything in their power so that POTUS can't do shit.
>Trump wins, democrats do everything to stop him from achieving anything
>Clinton wins, republicans do everything to stop her from achieving anything
>Sanders (magically) wins, republicans (and most likely lobbyists) do everything to stop him from achieving anything

Just like a berniefag, can't accept the fact that there are people with other opinions.
>>
>>28383908
Why is there so much bait in this thread?
Bernie Sanders economic policies might as well be a child's fantasies.
>>
>>28384055
It's because this is a thread about politicians. Not reality stars.

Trump has no political experience. He has never written or introduced legislature. He has never held office anywhere.
>>
>>28384114
Rather have a normal person in office than a politician-for-hire. A socialist bus driver once told me "we need a bus driver for president". This is as close as we're gonna get.
>>
>>28384044
>Trump wins, democrats do everything to stop him from achieving anything

In this scenario, it would be both Democrats and the GOP. McConnell's already stated that he would not participate with either Trump or his administration, I can't imagine the House feels any differently. Imagine the stagnancy they presented to Obama only intentionally and actively worse.
>>
>>28384146
Yeah that's true. Maybe Trump will even have to deal with the most bullshit. Not even the republicans truly want him. But that only strengthens my point. No matter who's elected nothing will truly change for us.
>>
>>28384136
Trump is not a normal person by any means. He's a wealthy celebrity. If you think his lifestyle is anywhere near the lifestyle of the people he claims to represent, you're completely unhinged.

the GOP establishment doesn't want to work with him, but he's got a fuckload of support both in the government and in the common people
>>
>>28384198
Not until we dismantle the Bilderbergers. /pol/ thinks our best shot at this, or the initial step we need to take, is by electing Trump, and that's really the pulse of this movement. It's not a Nationalist thing, it's not a conservative thing, it's whatever will kick Rockefeller and his friends in the nads the hardest. I honestly don't know enough about the practicality and repercussions of Trump's policies to know whether or not this will be effective, but what I do know is that the establishment will utilize everything in their power to stop it.
>>
>>28384205
He started out by getting a small loan from his parents. If you don't think the normal person gets help from their parents, your parents were probably dicks.
>>
First of all, as a small business owner, fuck this guy. He is like the impetus for the minimum wage increase proposals currently popular.

This debate is a sickness spreading across the nation.

As it stands, the minimum wage should be decreased, not increased!

My employees are lucky to be making $7.25 an hour, which they do NOT need!

Rent: $800/month for a one bedroom apartment/ 5 wage-earners = $160/month

Insurance: Unnecessary

Food: Can be got from the Salvation Army, the new trend "Dumpster Diving", or food stamps

They are all provided with a shirt and a pair of khakis for the company, they aren't above wearing their work uniform as their personal outfit. No money is needed for clothes.

All told $160 a month for rent per person/ 65 hours of work a week = $2.46 an hour

Adopt common sense reform! Lower the minimum wage + slash taxes on job creators = economic growth! This is why I support Trump, hes a businessman not a fucking politician
>>
>>28384294
>small loan

That small loan from his parents was a million dollars. Serious question, do your parents have an extra million to loan out?

But that's not the point. His policies are a step in the right direction; a moderate, mixed-model economy. He'd never be able to accomplish everything he wants to while in office, and when the political pendulum swings in the other direction, he'll get replaced by a more right standing candidate that will balance him out.

There's a reason why the highest average standard of living is found in countries with low wealth inequality. America has skated by for decades by simply having a fuckton of wealth, but the pool of actively circulating money is quickly drying up because the wealthy have no real incentive to spend any of it.

It's the equivalent of blood pooling in the extremities. It's a very, very bad thing.

All the /pol/ shit aside. You can pretty much say that about every one of them. The "establishment" is honestly the democrats, the republicans and the whole government. And whichever candidate will win the establishment will fuck with him. Trump is just the best option to truly fuck with people because the leftists will go apeshit and the republicans will also go apeshit. Also I think that he will actually be the one that does the least damage to the country and economy.

Yes, lower pay so low that full time workers are completely dependant on the government to survive and then let the "job creators" (the only ones that are prospering in this economy) have some more extra cash to store in their tax havens.

It's almost like you have a fundamental misunderstanding of every major economic issue happening right now.

Not that I expect to convince anyone on a hellhole like /r9k/, but here is why I'm supporting Bernie, with common counter-arguments in mind:
>character; he's compassionate and empathetic (inb4 everyone says "muh empathy), not dishonest and actually believes in the things he claims (hillary), not an egotist (trump), doesn't flip-flop on issues (hillary and trump) tangent, but i don't understand why /r9k/ supports the equivalent of their high school bully in authoritarians like trump/cruz. c'mon guys, it's the most beta thing you can do
>not going to selfishly sacrifice American troops for foreign policy games

>only politician wanting to decriminalize marijuana (inb4 degenerate) i know you all are /pol/ but disproportionate amounts of minorities are incarcerated for marijuana among other things
>single-payer health system

>sanders has better foreign policy judgement than clinton
Last I heard he didn't even release any specifics about foreign policy.

She's not trying to be anyone. She just reads ghost written speeches from a teleprompter, trying to appeal to the emotions of whatever crowd she's speaking to.
>>
>>28384444
Yah you're right, linking Donald Trump's shitty tax plan totally justifies Bernie Sanders' make believe economics. We can just spend and spend and spend and never have to worry. Free college, free healthcare, free abortions and free welfare while we sit at 19 trillion dollars in debt.

>>28384425
Same goes for you. Finland and Sweden obvious have enormously high tax rates to accommodate the free shit. Tax rates that the magic man Bernie Sanders hasn't proposed. They don't spend as much on the military as us and still these places are in debt.
http://www.nationaldebtclocks.org/debtclock/finland
http://www.nationaldebtclocks.org/debtclock/sweden
There can be no logic applied to these ''''economic'''' policies. Bernie is just offering free shit with no plan to pay for any of it and insurmountable debt.

More money to the bottom = more circulation (because the bottom can't hoard it all like the top) = prospering economy, in the same way job creation = more money to bottom = more spending = prospering economy

Literally any economist agrees

>>28385298
my bad homie, who are you voting for out of our 3 relevant canidates?
but honestly the debt isn't the biggest problem on our minds, government debt isn't THAT important and it's going to take us a while to pay the chinks back. >>

It is insignificant if you consider the costs and exactly what that money could be used for. If you care so much about immigration what should be happening is tightening up policy surrounding work visas and making sure they're enforced.

Starting a trade war with Mexico just to fund ineffectual cock symbolism is literally the worst thing you could to about immigration. It speaks volumes of Trump's understanding of how trade deficits work, and you're arguing all this with a terrible snap-reaction strawman.

Please get an education.
>>
>>28385337
How doesn't it? At my current job I make $13 an hour driving a forklift at a retail company. The retail workers earn $9 an hour. To even do that my company had to cut some benefits and change how they pay out my retirement.
If everyone started getting paid $15 they would 100% have to cut jobs. You simply can't just make money appear out of thin air. In before you say "well the CEOs can give up a few of their millions" as if every company in existence is Wal-mart.
By supporting a $15 minimum wage you're also giving a big "fuck you" to people like me who have some kind of skill that employers find valuable. Why even go for a harder, faster paced, more demanding forklift job if I could just work at Walmart stocking the shelves for the exact same amount of money? What incentive do people who are stocking shelves have to find better jobs which allows them to acquire skills and experience for future jobs? It makes no sense.
Don't forget that because the cost of labor goes up, that means it's harder to even find a job in the first place, even worse than it is now.

>Literally any economist agrees
That's wrong though.
https://www.epionline.org/studies/survey-of-us-economists-on-a-15-federal-minimum-wage/

This explains it. I have not been visiting /r9k/ often but apparently there has been a big neet movement on these boards. I work as a network admin and make 65k. If I keep improving I could become a systems/server engineer and cross 100k. Then do MBA and probably make big bucks. I don't want to be a corporate rat forever and do intend on starting my own business someday. Then probably go into politics (imagine a former /pol/ shitposter becoming mayor).

People like Trump are needed to fight degeneracy in society. I wasn't born to just sleep and sit back all day.

Nothing against N33ts. As long as you faggots fight the cause when the civil war is sparked against degeneracy and cultural marxists.

Shit's gonna cost over the long term in maintenance and you're a moron if you think otherwise. also literally every rifle round besides a .22lr can go through soft armor, and level III hard armor can be defeated by anything higher than a .308 AP round. level IV, what's issued to the troops, is gtg against anything up to .30-06 AP ammo.

Lmao no. Look up minimum wage statistics, in our post 2008 crash economy there are many more adults working minimum or near minimum wage either because they are in college, or working a second job because the first job does not pay enough, or because they are disabled, etc.

And why should it be enough to live on? Is this a serious question? You're asking why, in the United States of America, someone working full time should be able to pay rent and eat?
>>
>>28388657

My analysis of the job and my expectations of the position. If I'm the business owner I have the final say. It's up to the employee to demonstrate it deserves more. Maybe he's bilingual and really handy with equipment when it fucks up. I can see that guy getting more, even being put on the fast track to a managerial role.
>>
>>28388760

The economy has Mahe a complete recovery and we're are doing even better than before 2008. Instead of blaming employer or economy consider that maybe something is wrong with a person if they're working two jobs and can't make ends meet. If I didn't make enough at my job instead of working two shitty jobs I'd find one that did pay enough.

No, it hasn't. The economic policies have favored those on the wealthier end of the spectrum. Their growth has been absolutely enormous, but the middle and lower class? Not so much.

>>28388818
>Instead of blaming employer or economy consider that maybe something is wrong with a person if they're working two jobs and can't make ends meet.

No, I blame the minimum wage for not doing what it was designed to do - provide the minimum amount for a person to live on. Much of this is due to inflation as well, the minimum wage hasn't increased since the 1970s, and nearly everything else has increased in price.

The economy isn't nearly as black/white good/bad as you think it is. But if you have a job and are working full time, you should be able to pay for the standard living expenses. And because people aren't, they're falling back on government assistance for things that the employer should be providing to their workforce in the first place.
>>
>>28389286
^meant to say it hasn't been keeping up with inflation since the 70s. People still have to buy the same basic needs, food, shelter, etc, but it's more expensive now and the minimum wage increases haven't kept up with that increase

They hired them for their labor in the first place. They needed them to make their business run. They aren't doing it out of the kindness of their hearts. They aren't going to slash jobs proportional to a wage increase. That makes 0 sense, especially when business owners make as much as they do already. They can afford to distribute excessive earnings to higher labor wages. That's the entire point.
