I know very well that I am still desirable but only because I have a hole between my legs. That's not people desiring me though, that's people wanting to use me for something. That's what women have to deal with. This constant knowledge that we are just empty shells of people, basically made to just produce children and please men. That's pretty depressing and I really really hope that this does not apply to all women. I don't have a gf and never had, but I also never really tried changing that (and I suspect many here haven't either).
However I often find it hard to be friends with women because they seem to have so little hobbies. Some seem to literally exist for looks and that's it. Most friends I have have at least one interesting hobby that they live for, most have multiple.
