I work as a counselor for children at a local clinic, and I specialize in care for recent sexual abuse. If you wonder why girls are always claiming they were molested, chances are they were. It's honestly appalling. People just can't seem to come to terms with how much it actually happens. I'd put the numbers as high as 1 in 4.
What's worse is they often grow up like this:

I'll say this, not in defense, but as an adjunct - time and time again, I hear things like "both me and my (female) siblings were raped molested", and the other one(s) are living a relatively normal life, VERY often as part of a very religious, Christian family (not a bad thing, just an interesting note), while they are the "black sheep". A lot of these families seem to have stories of incest and rape going back generations.
