What do you do? If you're completely /noskill/ like me a couple years ago, Reno's probably better because the cost of living is almost nothing. California is ridiculous. If you've got a pair of balls and you're not afraid of working hard, construction has real money these days because all the trust-fund kids are brought up believing physical labor is "beneath" them. I make more (a lot more) as an uncertified laborer in California than the licensed engineer (Electrical, I think) I found to take over my lease when I left Reno.
