I always see in sitcoms where some person has tickets to some show/concert/game and end up having to give them away to their friends because it turns out they have to work on the night of. If this does happen in real life, how can anyone be happy with their job? You paid money for something and were looking forward to going to the event, but then your plans are ruined because you're a slave to your work.
