It's never gonna be useful in the NEET life, besides we're all gonna die someday, you wanna be the guy who spent 16 years, literally his golden days wasting away doing papers for what, a good job? High school was easily the dullest, least significant time of my life. Nothing happened. I just went to school and sat through the classes for 4 years and before I could snap out of my daydreaming it was over. My life has only ever gotten better since. High school is drastically overrated.

my bad, I should've specified, here in NY, the minimum wage should hit 15 an hour soon, which if you work full time would leave you with exactly 600 at the end of the week, resulting in 2400 a month
>>
>>24666097
I just looked it up and about half of the states in US pay the federal minimum wage, $7.25 an hour. That's $290 a week if you're lucky enough to get full time hours. The highest paid state still makes less than $400 a week. These are not livable wages unless you're in an area with a very low cost of living.

The better question is how I went through university.

It was hard and shitty. Literally 7 years of shit, since I got stopped for 2 years, just like nearly everyone else. You had to be really, really good to finish our university in proper time. I think they did this on purpose, since you had to pay for repeating subjects and they were throwing so much of this shit on you, that you could never finish it all.

I will probably never forget NYE of 2011/2012, which I spent on implementing Symfony project for my university. If I didn't do it then, I wouldn't pass this subject. I finished logging in module exactly at 0:00 - seemed like fireworks started just because I added this feature.

What a hell it was.

i had a cool principal who took pity on me. in my school, you can fail if you miss a number of days. if you dont have a doctor's note then you are fucked. i stayed home a lot because i honestly stopped caring about everything, shaving, school, hygiene, college, etc etc. i told this principal that i dont care if he kicks me out i'm just alive to find someone and kill them. well for some reason he didnt call the police but instead got a lot of teachers to up my grades and forgive my absences. he did it for like 3 years. once i finally graduated i was walking with my graduation gound and he ran up to me and said congrats and told me to make something of myself. so yeah, my autistic outburst somehow saved me. though if i ever go to trade school, i doubt autism will help

>good school
All the classes are piss easy, most seniors leave early and don't hear shit from the office. My school wouldn't allow me to apply for early dismissal because I transferred and they didn't recognize hardly any of my classes. They had to bend their fucking graduation requirements so I would be able to graduate this year because they didn't recognize that many of my classes, I got pissed off and asked them if they could change their requirements to allow me to graduate why couldn't they change their requirements more and allow me to leave early. They gave me some bullshit response like
>"Anon you need to take your 6th and 7th period classes because they teach valuable skills"
My fucking 6th period class is something called "Career Journey" which my teacher is a soulless fuck who gives us busy work and teaches nothing, my 7th period class is a typing class, which I already know how to do because I took typing at my other high school, but they didn't recognize it because fuck me.

This is what is wrong with the American Educational System. Not that they don't have funding, or that kids are just lazy, it is because they do stupid shit like this and waste time and money unnecessarily and hang on to worthless classes and teachers.

I admire your ability to compromise.
My resolve isn't nearly as advantageous. I want to leave america to die.

I'm not sure how I can go about getting that to happen, though.
I'm hoping it's actually what I want, and not a mental block created by my mind, projecting this unobtainable goal subconsciously to delay my inevitable demise and preserve itself.
Of course that would mean my mind and body are separate entities.

Can the body really be so tricky?

I actually don't even know. I never studied, never took notes, did my homework in the hallways between classes. Just bullshitted my way through everything and passed with An A- on average and a 3.63 GPA unweighted at the end of Senior year.

I remember the night before final exams I played Oblivion until 4 A.M. And Went into class without any prior knowledge of what was going on. I nearly fell asleep multiple times and it was a process of looking for the wrong answers then choosing the one that sounded like the right one. History was a breeze, math was even easier. I was the top of my class. And it's pretty pathetic that I got there, but understandable. I went to a pretty small school, and my graduating class had less than 100 kids. I am a social outcast and barely had any friends, but the few I had were in honors classes so I worked hard to be in the same classes as them. I also had a lot of free time because I'm a loser and didn't do sports or other stuff. Eventually it became a competition to outdo my friends in grades, so I worked even harder for that. Eventually I was doing better than the rest of the class and everyone started to notice me a kind of. People would ask for help on stuff. It got to the point where people just copied my homework because they knew I had done it right. This sounds pretty shitty, but It was the only attention I really got, so I did my work and made sure it was right so that people would respect me and come to me for help. By the time we graduated, I was top of the class. Pretty fucking pathetic, but it earned me a full ride to college.
>>
>skip class
>don't do homework
>be mysterious silent kid
>everyone thinks I'm retarded
>I'm actually not

And I don't mean this as in "they thought I was dumb", literally, except for a few teachers who didn't give enough of a shit to tell people I was just autistic. On the bright side this meant that when I did speak I could shock everyone by doing nothing but talk like a normal person. Then in 2 more days they'd forget and I could do it again when convenient, top kek. I never had to do any team work or do anything I didn't like in gym because of this. I think my parents actually tried to explain to the teachers that I was rusing them but they must have assumed they were in denial or something.

i was a sponge that relied on in-class activities and lectures to pass. i never did class work at home; always in other classes.

since primary & secondary are made with the intentions of not letting kids fall through (rather than encouraging those who excel) the pace was non-existant

uni's really fucking me up because I never developed any sort of self-study/work skills, yet just one of my classes (that's 3 credit hours out of my 12) "suggests" studying a minimum of 8 hours outside of class. if I actually did all the minimums, I'd be studying over 25 hours a week, on my own time. that's not counting the 10 hours I'm there for mondays and wednesdays

work is often very direct and occupying. it reminds me of the best part of school, and that was when class time was dedicated to doing assignments. in uni, lectures only cover maybe half of what we need to know for assignments and exams, so I need to work at it on my own time, before even doing the work/review for the exams.

I don't give a fuck if shit sucks as long as it stays at that one place, but uni looms over me every day, especially with teachers moving dates around, and universities transitioning over to electronic mediums.

unless I plan on working salary, I don't have to give a fuck until I get to work, then I'm able to clock out (literally and mentally) until the next day. with uni, you gotta carry most of the slack on your time

work > highschool >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> college

periods where I only have work, and no college, feels exactly like highschool, except I get money I can spend on myself

The teachers passed me. I played World of Warcraft alldayerryday through highschool and ended up getting lower grades than expected in literally all semesters. I just finished highschool itself, as well as all three years of it, because of teachers' good will. I guess they did it right since now I study in a somewhat prestigious university, but I imagine that they just wanted to see themselves rid of me.

I'm pretty sure I passed due to sheer pity from my teachers. I was never that great in school after like 4th grade and starting in 11th grade I delved deeper into psychosis and after 3 trips to the psych ward in my senior year I'm pretty sure my teachers passed me because they knew I was kinda suffering. I was amazed that I actually passed in general, being a wagekek ain't that bad tbqh.

I've actually gotten honors with distinction the last 10 quarters (2.5 years). I'm gonna brag about it now because I know it won't matter in 5 years. At least I'll get into a good university.

What was your class rank?

With an average of 93 in every class and I never studied. I would have had 97-100 in every class if I ever bothered to study.
>>
Bullshitted all the way. But my senior year i did accutane and just stopped giving any fucks about classes and i already gotten accepted into college, and went from a 3.85 gpa to 3.5 gpa in a semester. Then i dropped out of a top 50 college lol

#1. I got a 4.0, went on to a decent state school and got a 4.0. Education is a fucking joke
>>
>>24679336
>Got a 4.0 in highschool
>Went to a "decent" state school

You never challenged yourself. You fail automatically.
>>

I went to university of michigan and majored in chemical engineering, which most people would consider a "difficult" major. I didn't get into an actual school like MIT or Stanford because I wasn't willing to put the extra time and extra money towards it, but I guess you're right, I never challenged myself. I wouldn't say I'm a failure, it's all a game and I came out pretty well while putting in the minimum required effort.

>start out highschool
>every class is easy as fuck
>get easy A's without even trying

>never did homework at home, I always did it during school in the morning since I always arrived early at school
>still got good grades on my assignments and homework

>within each year, my grades kept getting worse
>tfw still knew all the content
>tfw aced all quizzes or tests

I still knew all the content and all the classes were pretty easy. If it weren't for the fact I did good in tests, I would have failed. Idk, I just lost motivation to do any work. Highschool quickly became dull, it just reached a point where I would sit there and daydream untill the day was over. I kept repeating until highschool was over.
